Location was absolutely superb (once you find it) - right at the top of Montalcino with only steps away to all the restaurants and shops. The rooms are small (we had a back room with no view) but very well appointed including shower soaps/candles etc. We notice provided earplugs, why we wondered? At @3am a church bell rang and then a few more at random times during the early morning. This is all part of the beauty of old Italian villages and if we had stayed a second night we would definitely have used them. The communal breakfast area is a lovely cool room with exceptional views and the breakfast is good. There was a much needed air-conditioner that worked well in the room. Parking is not easy but you are provided a 30 minute free park space to unload your bags. And we paid the very reasonable price for 24 hrs parking in the castle car park (only a few minutes walk) Euro 4.

My husband has a bad hip! There are many steps in Montalcino and this hotel is situated on a steep stairway, and then more stairs up to the rooms. If you are unable to walk easily this may not be the place for you.

It has great character, with a lovely view, and was comfortable and clean, with a helpful lady, who came in the morning. The remote check-in worked fine. It is right in the heart of the town and the parking is all right by hill town standards.

My wife doesn't like air purifiers and one was rather strong. Obviously, in a town centre there is always the odd idiot making a noise at night, but the place was generally quiet. The place would be awkward for anyone disabled.

Nicely appointed room in a good location. The room was tastefully decorated and the breakfast was lovely. There are nice views of the square from the breakfast room. the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was great. The staff were very friendly.

The lighting in the room was missing a main light which made it dim when we first arrived. We had to phone for the owner to arrive and parking was confusing to begin with. The car has to be parked some distance away so [probably phoning for advice before you arrive would help. There are a lot of steps involved too both outside and inside the house. Only and issue if you have mobility problems.

the hotel asked us about arrival time and yet, when we arrived, there was no one to welcome us. We had to call and wait 10 minutes before someone came. The same happened at check-out.

Ample room with large bathroom. Practical, well located, gracious hosts with good breakfast and available free parking close by with a pass provided by the B&B. Good restaurant recommendations from Christine, we really enjoyed our stay while visiting nearby wineries and towns.

Two churches close had bell towers that rang every 1/2 hour. You get used to it, however, at night it was bothersome.

The Scalette di Piazza B&B is a very nicely appointed, clean and comfortable B&B located ideally very close to Piazza del Popolo, the central main square of Montalcino. The rooms and common lounge/kitchen have all been renovated very nicely. Bars, restaurants, cafes and shops are all very short walks from the B&B.

Location and accommodations were perfect. The juice was fresh and delicious for breakfast…even personalized cappuccinos😬. That was a treat. Quiet accommodations. Montalcino was a fantastic! Definitely a chill place to stay compared to the frenzy of Florence. You can catch the most beautiful sunset there.

An added fan for the room as the summer months are pretty warm and the AC just didn’t cool things down enough.

Great b&b in the center of Moncino! We really emjoyed the breakfast full of fresh local products(savory and sweet options). The room was clean and had an amazing view over the valley. Tottally reccomended!

Location is perfect for sightseeing but not for carrying your luggage ;)

Location, with great views. Breakfast was good. Free Parking about 10 mins. away, Via Aldo Moro Good restaurant Il Moro nearby.

Nothing wrong with the B&B at all, but there are a lot of steep steps outside.

Very comfortable, centrally located and excellent breakfast with a view.

Despite having advised the time we were going to arrive, there was no one there. We had to wait even though it was raining. The staff responsible for check-in wasn’t friendly at all. Free Parking is a little bit far from the property.
