The hotel was well situated. The staff were friendly. (Alessandro was especially helpful and reassuring when I returned to the hotel after having been pickpocketed in Florence) The room was clean and modern. And shower was lovely! The breakfast had a great selection of meats, pastries, rolls, fruit, and cereals. Plenty of choices!! A happy (4!) hour at the bar was nice. (25% off!) And liked we could sit outside on a terrace. It was also quiet in my room so easy to sleep. I was on the 3rd floor so window/ light was more via a roof window. Would have liked a bigger balcony perhaps. But that said, it wasn't essential. And with the humidity it was probably good to have the window closed! Air conditioning was good and effective. Liked there was a small fridge in the room...and also a small personal safe. All very useful. Room was also a good size so not shuffling around the bed! Very happy with hotel overall.

With respect to the pool... it could have done with maybe a few more sunbed as they were like gold dust!! Very hard to find even one free. Although admittedly, the pool area was not large and it could prove difficult to have added many more ...

PROS: -Location, very close to center. Shops/restaurants, etc -Room is comfortable and modern -Good transition hotel (wouldn't stay here longer than 2 nights)

CONS: -Breakfast is included but its very low quality, everything seems pre-packaged, not fresh. -Our shower clogged very easily -Cleanliness was not good. Weird smell in the room, and found hairs in the extra covers -Soundproofing, most rooms are next to the elevator so you will hear a lot of guests.

We chose this location because it was in the triangle Bologna, Firenze, Pisa and we planned to visit those cities. Due to the very hot weather we did not make so many visits but enjoyed our stay in Montecatini. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful even when large groups arrive they have no problem making you feel welcome. The location is good, a little out of city center (so no problem with the LEZ zone to enter) but only a short walk to the central square. There are plenty of good restaurants and other businesses near the hotel. The pool is on the roof of another building but it is easily accessed with a code that is given when you check in. We never had a problem getting some chairs around the pool and at least when we were at the pool it was not too crowded. There are some nice views from that rooftop. The fridge in the room has some complementary water which is nice. Breakfast is good with diverse freshly made pastries and omelettes and bacon always available.

Breakfast is not buffet, you have to ask for everything (except coffee or juice) which makes that you sometimes have to wait in line and makes it less likely that you'll try something new. I understand they want less waste and this way people are less inclined to take things they will not consume but sometimes I just wanna take an extra croissant and not wait in line for one.

Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast, very good option for dinner in the restaurant. Very good location and possibility to park the car in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The internet in the hotel is good and free. The air conditioner in the room is quite good and the staff cleans the rooms daily. Be sure to check the hotel swimming pool. It can be a liFE saver in a hot summer day and it work till 21:00

Nice location, pretty easy to park on the street in front of the hotel.

The standard room was pretty small with a small roof window. The pool located on rooftop of the annex building was kind of dirty, there was no shadow.

Charming hotel with a friendly, welcoming feel. It has its own traditional hotel restaurant with attentive staff and good food. The hotel is set in a position within easy walking distance of everything in the lovely little town of Montecatini. I would come back here happily with my wife – the ultimate accolade.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is great as central point for exploring Tuscany. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. The pool was a great bonus!

The evening meal in the restaurant was ok for the price, but could be better to reflect Italian restaurants nearby.

Peaceful hotel, good location next to train station, friendly staff

Room was located in another building which was annex building but not deserve 4stars, mattress was bad, we hadn't glass in our room. Breakfast is adoptable for Italian people mostly, very little salty things. Parking 5eur per day on the street.
