I absolutely loved my stay at Parma e Oriente! The minute my friend and I walked in the door, we felt like we were "home." The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with bright and cheerful furnishings. There are cozy places to sit both inside and out. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and their adult children any they are all gracious hosts. They take pride in their business and it shows. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. The decor has a feminine feel with hand-painted furnishings and beautiful artwork. I had a nice view over the sparkling pool and the weather was perfect so I was able to leave my windows open for a fresh breeze. I loved the waterfall shower as it was larger than many showers I've encountered in Italy. There were ample towels, another touch you don't always see when traveling. I had both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and the food was excellent! It took us about 15 minutes to walk (with luggage) from the train station and it was an easy, flat walk. The location of the hotel was ideal for visiting all the town's attraction. It was a short walk to the central square in one direction and in the other direction, we were able to reach the funicular to Montecatini Alto in less than 15 minutes. The stunning Tettuccio Spa in right up the road. I can't wait to come back and bring a group of friends. This hotel is perfect for singles, couples and groups traveling together. I highly recommend it!

I loved everything about this property!

Location is perfect, steps away from the park, about 5 min walking from the centre. Not really noisy. I didn’t have a free breakfast, wasn’t included in my room. So check your booking policy properly. The room was tiny, but very cozy and clean, furnished with style, has a little balcony, the bed was comfortable and bedding was very nice. Love the drawer, transforming into the desk. The pool and area around is nice. I even swam. The common areas in the hotel are very inviting and lovely.

Loved absolutely everything… Grazia, Stefania, Giulia, the whole family, absolutely charming. We stayed for two weeks and it felt like home. I swam in the pool and had it completely to myself for two weeks! There is a staircase downstairs to the sauna/massage room, and a porthole to see underwater in the swimming pool. My partner took some wonderful photos of me swimming! All the food and drink was excellent, we had a beautiful room at the back of the hotel with a balcony overlooking the pool and the lemon-tree filled garden. It is a place where you can completely relax… the hotel and the town of Montecatini. The pace of life is very soothing. Lots of places to visit nearby… the funicular up to Montecatini Alto, we also went to Pistoia, Lucca, Florence and Siena… all fabulous, the hotel a wonderful base with train stations, shops, cafes and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Perfect!

The hotel is a small family business where everything is done with love and attention to the detail. Then structure is very clean, the breakfast and the restaurant are an excellent demonstration of the local and Italian cusine. The salty swimming pool is ideal for relaxing during hot summer days Surely a place where I will plan to come back. Adapt for couples and families.

The hotel is located very central, with charming interior design and a very nice veranda where you can enjoy excellent regional Italian cuisine. It is so perfect because you can easily launch cultural-related trips to Florence or Lucca, or just relax at the pool, or go hiking in the surrounding hills, and then after a long day you can treat yourself to a relaxing massage. What gives it that personal touch is the great service by the owners, reception and food service staff. This was definitely not my last visist to this lovely hotel.

The hotel is located in a very nice street not far from the spa area (Tettucio Terme, Parco Termale). The street is relatively quiet and clean. It's possible to park at the hotel (paid) or use free public parking 5 minutes of walk from the hotel. The staff is very nice, fluent in English and other languages. Breakfast starts at 7:30. You can expect a continental breakfast whit italian flavour (ricotta, mozzarella, mortadela) and good coffee. We enjoyed the morning cappuccino even more when sitting under cast iron front porch. The room was nice and clean. There was a regular room service. We really enjoyed our stay and we are looking forward to coming back again in the future.

There were several big groups of guests at the hotel during our stay, which made the breakfasts a little less comfortable since the whole group arrived in the restaurant at the same time. It was a bit chaotic, there were queues etc but the restaurant staff was doing their best to manage the situation.

Not been to Montecatini before so wasn't sure what to expect, The town is quite large but the hotel is very near the main centre. The room was absolutely fine, newly decorated and spacious enough. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of food to cater for all tastes. The pool area was great although the grass around the pool needed a good cut to make it look as smart as it really should. The only thing stopping a perfect score was the insect bites we got whenever we sat on the terrace. I know it isn't the fault of a hotel but there were no candles or other remedies to try to help the situation. We ended up sitting inside, which was pleasant but a bit of a shame on an August evening. A little more table service would have been nice. A tiny car park you can use if you are lucky, but plenty of parking around and about. Staff were excellent, particularly the young lady who greeted us on arrival.

Annoying flies on the terrace, would have been good for the hotel to try citronella candles or another remedy

The room was very clean with very good air-conditioning, much needed during this time of the year. The hotel has a very nice lounging area next to the bar and a big restaurant too. The hotel offers an enjoyable swimming pool that we used during our stay. Helpful and friendly staff. Location of the hotel very convenient - quite close to the cafes and shops. Plenty of car parking facilities too nearby the hotel. Payment to be arranged with the hotel.

Longer opening hours for the restaurant would have helped. On our first night, we reached the hotel quite late and so could not eat at the restaurant. Rooms could have had some basic tea/coffee/kettle/glassware, etc.

Very nice reception area. Large balcony on our suite was impressive. Spacious dining room. Most staff very helpful. Very good central location.

Disappointed with facilities in the suite. We would expect tea/coffee making facilities, proper glasses in the bathroom, not cheap ,thin plastic beakers that split and better- quality toiletries for the cost of the suite. The bathroom itself was very small and the water temperature was warm at best. The waiters in the restaurant were very abrupt and every day started clearing food away well before the end of breakfast time.

The hotel is a wonderful gem, owned and run by the same family for generations. It has a traditional feel which we loved, all the staff were extremely welcoming and professional, and worked very hard. The hotel was spotless, and beautifully furnished with traditional very pretty Italian furniture. The buffet breakfast was excellent, and we had dinner in the restaurant twice and that was equally good. The pool was great and surrounded by a very pretty garden/terrace with sun loungers. We toured Northern/central Italy and the location of this hotel-Montecatini was our favourite destination, it's a very quaint vibrant little town with lots of history, great shops and restaurants, and excellent railway links so a brilliant base to visit both Florence and Pisa.

We loved everything about the hotel.
