The house is at the foot of Montepulciano and with a great view of the city . It is convenient if you have a car, because the city has an old center and a zone with car restrictions. It is clean and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is not homemade, but there is a choice and it is very good and tasty with local salami and cheese. The hostess was very kind.

It's not a problem that there are no air conditioners, but there should be mosquito nets on the windows for ventilation. There is no soap in the bathrooms, only small packets with shampoo.

It’s a charming villa with very comfortable rooms. The view from our room was amazing towards the town at the hill. Even it was rainy day we spent excellent time thanks to the advices of our kind host. The place is 3 minutes away by car from the first parking lot of the town P7. From there you can easily reach the hysterical centre. Also the breakfast is very nice - make sure you won’t miss it. Highly recommend!

It’s very cute and the receptionist was very nice to us. We were looking for a cosy spot to spend the night and the Il Girasole was exactly that.

There were a few bugs around the walls of the bedroom but nothing extraordinary for a country B&B. If you are a person that are bothered by that, this might not be the place. But for me it didn’t bother. I took them out of the bedroom and slept well.

Great location near Montepulciano, house n the olive garden, warm welcome

I was not bothered by this, but I understand it may be a problem for someone - The size of the room is for shorter stays (no couch), and breakfast- you choose on the day before. Menu is wide and you can choose as many as you want, but it's not a buffet (which is completely understandable with this small and cozy space)

Nadia, our host, was wonderful, kind, friendly and an excellent baker and breakfast server. The property settled in vineyards and an olive grove, had a great view of the vineyards and of Montepulciano from its balconies with the city being just a short 5 minutes drive up the hill.

Unfortunately, the local power grid wouldn’t allow air conditioning to be installed in the BnB so on warm nights the windows, without screens, needed to be opened which let in mosquitos.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Delicious breakfast, the best we had in the last 2 weeks of travelling around Sardinia, Corsica and Tuscany spending 1 night in each accommodation. Spacious room with a balcony with a beautiful view on Montepulciano. Great location - close to Montepulciano and shop. Out of the main road, surrounded by olive trees. Cute cats at the property. Safe private parking.

Like living in a farm house in the Tuscan countryside. The breakfast area was spacious and well decorated. Most of the rooms have excellent views, and balconies. Our room was spacious, with an armoire and a desk, The breakfast was our best in Italy, with numerous options available (chosen the night before), and everything was top quality (charcuterie, cheeses, home made pastries). Breakfast service was personal and delightful. The wild boars seen while returning one evening were a bonus o:)

A car is needed. It can be reached by public transit, but the walk from the bus stop was just that little bit longer than wanted (we picked up our car our first morning, so only the arrival was by bus).

The location was perfect, just minutes from Montepulciano, with ripe grapes hanging from the vineyard, and olive trees behind the house. On-site free parking. the breakfast was all you could ask for. You fill out a sheet of paper with various suggestions (fruit, home-baked cake, croissant, cereal, tea/coffee, juice, etc.) and she brought each person their choices to the table in the breakfast room. It was chilly one night, and the owner brought a comforter from home for us. It was a delightful stay away from the bustle of the city.

Can't think of a thing to make the stay better, except the weather.

This is our second time staying here. The hosts are wonderful, parking is free and just outside the front door and you are 5 min or less drive to Montepulciano ; excellent choices for breakfast

Nothing at all

Nice big room in this family-run villa (small hotel) and an excellent view of the neighboring ancient walled city that we visited for dinner and the next day, only 5 minute drive away. The kids loved the cats around the property as an additional bonus. The breakfast was excellent and generous number of items with wide variety to choose from
