My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience at B&B Napoli Retro. Starting with the practical aspects, the location is excellent and right in the city center. We had no trouble visiting tourist spots, both those accessible on foot and those requiring the metro (since the apartment is located near the metro station). The house is huge, well-organized and well-equipped. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable, and there is air conditioning. The private bathroom is not inside the room but right across the door, so we had no issues with privacy. The bed was made every day (even though we didn't expect this), and the toiletries were regularly replenished. The breakfast was always plentiful and very tasty. Beyond the accommodation, it was a great joy to meet Valerio, Genny, their son, and the lady who helps them with the B&B. They are the kind of people you wanna be friends with: very welcoming, respectful, intelligent, and kind. They give space to those who prefer to be alone, and offer pleasant company to those who wanna spend time together. We had great conversations, and I had a lot of fun with them. They also willingly offered tips about the city. I absolutely recommend the B&B and will certainly stay there again when I return to Naples. Valerio and Genny, thank you very much for the hospitality! I wish you and your beautiful family the best in life.

I don't have any negative aspects to point out.

We enjoyed my stay in Napoli Retro, due to some drawbacks. The room was spacious and I liked the retro vibe of the whole apartment. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was also okay. The host was extremely nice and helpful :) Of course, the most incredible thing is the location. It’s so close to everything - the cathedral, the best restaurants, the bus stop where you can get the bus to the airport. I didn’t have problems with finding the apartment and check in. The entrance is not located on the main street, but at the back, next to the lovely square. I recommend the Donna Regina bar next to the apartment!

I don’t mind traffic noise, it’s not bothering me so much. However I had issues sleeping, due to the bells of the church located in front of the apartment. I think it was starting before 7 o’clock. It was extremely loud! The bells were making disturbing, irregular sound, and it was hard to get used to it. I have no idea how people leaving there can sleep longer, it was a nightmare really. We were getting up early in the morning, so in our case it wasn’t that much of the problem, but if someone wants to sleep longer, I think you just cannot here.

The location is in the heart of holistic Napoli. It's a heritage building, so note only a small sign for Napoli Retro is allowed on the outside of the building and outside their main door so download a city map in advance so you can find the location from the Central area that the airport bus drops you off. it's also near the Metro Museo stop. our host was friendly & helpful. The entire place is kept incredibly clean. The included breakfast is lovely.

Note there are a lot of stairs so travel light with baggage. we did and were thankful for it.

This place is amazing. It is not a “traditional” hotel as you are accommodated in a room in an apartment but this quality turns out to be rather a benefit. My room was cozy, nice and clean, the shared bathroom as well. The retro vibe of the place is perfect, objects like vintage lamps and an old telephone make the travelling-in-time illusion perfect. The receptionist who welcomed me (and had to pick me up on the street as I could not find the place :) was exceptionaly nice and helped me to feel confortable which is great especially when you travel alone. I recommend this place to time travellers and normal travellers as well :)

We chose to stay at Napoli Retro cause of very affordable price and it exceeded our expectations. First of all, it's really retro. Building is like 600 hundreds years old, you come to yard from small door. Feels like entering old monastery or backdoor of a castle. It's on 3rd floor but there is an elevator. Rooms are fool of antique furniture and accessories with beautiful ceramic floor. Have big windows. But everything is in there, amenities, air conditioner, everything is clear. Bed and room gets cleaned up and refreshed. Location: it's in centre. 5 minutes walk to Piazza Cavour station. 20 minutes to Napoli Centrale railway station. Right after the corner majestic cathedral. Streets full of Napoli tifozi are near. Surrounded by large amount of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Service: da best. Jenny was very kind, attentive and helpful. If you need anything just don't hesitate to ask. Some nuances may feel like cons: If you choose room with street view (which is good) it may be a little noisy with opened windows as it looks at busy street. You just need to close all the windows and everything. But if you spent all day wondering through Napoli and it's neighborhood, you will be so tired that nothing should awake you from your sleep. It's says private bathroom, which is not inside room but in two steps, separated. You get keys to it and only you can use it. It's clean with retro style but has everything you need. Some doors maybe noisy. WiFi sometimes does not have good connection but seems due fo router position. Some may say beds are a bit firm, but no such problem was from our side. We slept like babes. Overall we were very happy to stay at Napoli retro and will definitely stay again in the future. Ciao ragazzi and Forza Napoli!

Nothing.

Room was very spacious, an authentic Italian atmosphere, air con was great, balconies very good, location was excellent and breakfast was great with variety each day. Staff were great and helpful. This was excellent value for money in a great location!

Wi-fi didn’t work well, room safe would have been good, it can be a little noisy late at night and early in the morning.

Gentilia and Valerio were incredibly helpful and friendly. My wife was ill when we arrived and in need of medical attention. They arranged it immediately (without their help we would have had major problems) It is an interesting area of Napoli, and there is a great pizza place very nearby. Come out the 'steel' door and turn right, and it is straight ahead , across the road on the left.

fine. Good value.

We really enjoyed our room! It was beautiful, the bed was comfortable and we slept very well. A great landing place in between activities in Naples, especially given its perfect location right at centro storico and near everything. The hosts live one floor below the apartment and they are always home, so it also felt very safe. We shared the bathroom with one other guest and it worked out perfectly. The room feels private and we were not at all disturbed by the other guest, it was just nice and we ended up sharing tips on what to visit in the city! Some reviews says you can hear lots of noise from the street (motor bikes and the cathedral) - but this is Naples! An easy solve with good ear plugs, and given that the apartment is located at the top floor you are far away from the street and honestly it is not that loud at all. Overall great value for money! Would not hesitate to come back, it was perfect for us.
