Palazzo del Poeta is a oasis in the busy city of Palermo. The owner has used her love of the city and artistic ability to create a most beautiful retreat for the traveller following 5 years of renovation/restoration.It is walking distance to everything situated right off of Via Roma but on an extremely quiet small street minutes to transit and attractions. Our room was exquisite with high ceilings and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious with cooked eggs available on request . Pastries and beverages are also available all day in a separate convenient location to our room. Staff were very helpful and professional. Communication was excellent before and during our stay. The owner provided restaurant suggestions of which we tried two which were delicious. We loved Palermo and staying at Palazzo del Poeta was exceptional.

We loved our stay at Palazzo del Poeta. The building is in a fantastic location, very walkable to all the sites we wanted to see. The place is like a museum, so beautiful! Our room was perfect for our honeymoon. The beds were comfy and the kettle in the room was nice to have tea before bed. There was unlimited coffee and pastries at all hours which was delicious! Breakfast was included and it was great. The staff is very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We overall loved our stay here and would definitely recommend, especially for couples.

Our air conditioner stopped working one night, however the hotel team made sure to get it fixed right away and it was working properly by the next day.

Excellent location on the narrow street across from archeological museum. It was very kind of the hotel concierge lady to park the car in the garage for us and bring it back to the front of the hotel the next day.

Difficult to find the hotel as there were no signs of the hotel and I missed it going back and forth the street. I should have known that it was at the doorbell of entrance that has the hotel name.

This is one of the most extraordinary travel values I’ve ever encountered. On a Palermo alley an unassuming door opens into an exquisite lobby - which is your introduction to a beautiful, interesting and tastefully crafted space. The bedroom was comfortable, charmingly decorated and lovely. Outside the room was an area with tables, couches, Sicilian pastry treats, refrigerated drinks, and a great breakfast in a charming breakfast room. all part of the cost of the room. I highly recommend this hotel.

Other people have said this, but it really is a beautiful building and has a lovely ambience inside. The young people who staff the residence are delightful and couldn`t be more charming and helpful. Guests are given a Whatsapp contact, so it`s possible to message at any time if anything is needed. Breakfast was good and there was coffee, tea, cakes and pastries left available throughout the day which was a very hospitable gesture.

The entire front of the building was covered in scaffolding which, it seems, has been ongoing for some time. l chose a room with a balcony because l had to work each morning, but found my balcony to be covered and unavailable. l think this should be mentioned at booking. However, there is a pleasant roof terrace and lovely indoor rooms for relaxing if privacy isn`t required. Also to clarify for others, there isn`t either a fridge or minibar in the room as advertised, if this is important to you. However, the breakfast area is immediately outside the bedroom door and drinks are available there. Another thing to be aware of is that the bathroom area isn`t fully enclosed - so no problem for a solo traveller, but may not be ideal if privacy is required.

Wow! We'd return in a heartbeat. Rosa has done such a beautiful job of restoring this property and she's a lovely host. We booked an apartment and it was large and very comfortable - sitting area, kitchen area, bathroom and large bedroom. Everything about the property is superb, and the location is ideal. The breakfast is delicious, and pastries and drinks are provided throughout the day for guests. Only wish we had stayed longer!

The atmosphere in the hotel. Quiet and peaceful. The free access to something to drink and cakes in the breakfast room throughout the day.

The street entrance and lack of a clear reception. Scaffolding and renovation of the facade made it almost difficult to find the entrance in this narrow street. When we rang the bell the door opened, but when we entered there was no reception, no guidance and no one there to receive us (!) We had to ask the man in the reception of the hotel next to ours (the Posta). He helped us and manged to get in contact with a young man who showed up after a little time. Except for this, we were very pleased with our hotel and stay.

Tranquil oasis in the heart of Palermo. Rosa the owner/manager is extremely responsive and gracious. Endless supply of fresh delicious sweet pastries, fresh juice and yoghurt for breakfast and eggs/omelette at request, coffee maker and a lovely communal area with three completely private rooms leading off it. There are beautiful sitting areas that create a sense of space although the hotel did not appear (from our side) to have gardens and is quite enclosed. We arrived by ferry and walked everywhere, the location was very walkable from the port and is perfect for exploring Palermo.

We had difficulty with our transfer from the airport however looks like it may have been due to an accident on the free way which prevented our driver from getting to us.

Everything. Staff were polite, friendly, and efficient doing anything to help. The whole place is beautifully decorated to exceptional quality. Our apartment was perfect, really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of pastry and eggs cooked to order.
