Lovely location and staff that go out of their way to help you. Good selection for breakfast. Tremendously friendly and kind people. I can't thank them enough. Especially Marta is something of a hotel superstar, one of the best managers I have ever met. Compfortable beds, spacious rooms with traditional tiles, giving a luxurious feeling. Good air-condition.

The stairs are a challenge, so be prepared! And the bar on the street beneath played very loud music on the weekend. I had some issues with the son of the man who picked me up at the airport, he was quite rude to me.

Perfect location in Palermo! It is a great wee area & could've spent much longer here. Several places to eat/drink literally on the doorstep. A couple of nights there was entertainment in local restaurants but not excessive and didn't go on late. Great to experience living in traditional type building with big wooden front door and balcony/shutters. We were in Triple room with terrace; room was very spacious ; there was glass staircase in the room to a roof terrace & a biggish step up to access (this was a little bit freaky to walk up & would be tricky if you had fear of heights). It was a bit tricky to carry breakfast up to rooftop but totally doable & worth it ! The terrace space was just lovely! I loved the big window & the shutters in the room overlooking the street/entrance area below! Defo need to be fit to stay here as is up 51 steps & staircase a bit narrow in places; (my husband counted); I booked & had not checked that there was no lift & we had to carry our suitcases; that was my error and otherwise it was a great place to stay. Marta was so helpful & provided lots of local information. I had a big birthday & my brother had secretly communicated with them & they arrived with flowers, bubbles & birthday cake (was a local/Sicilian cake which was divine!!) Big thank you again to all who helped to arrange this!! We drank the bubbles on the roof terrace which was lovely also. There was a little communal area outside the room which was handy. We had a hired car - parking locally would be very tricky but we guessed it might be and had already decided to take car back to airport once we'd checked in; very glad we did that!! Everywhere is easily accessed on foot!! Overall was wonderful!!

Not ideal if you have lots of luggage!! ( not a complaint just a comment, as I accidentally hadn't noticed there was no lift when booking)

Have stayed in this property on two occasions. I love the location and the place is immaculately clean. It’s not very easily accessed by older people or anyone with walking problems (because of the narrow, winding stairs) but otherwise it’s almost perfect. Having stayed last time in the room with access to the rooftop terrace, I was disappointed this time to discover the other rooms have no similar access. So be sure to request the rooftop access room if you want the best option. Recommended.

Massiciliano was a wonderful host and helped us with many questions we had. He looked for help if he did not know the answer and was quick to be of service to us the week we were there. The breakfasts were amazing, with choices everyday and the amount of food given far surpassed our expectations. His father, who cooked for us was very sweet and charming, much like my Sicilian grandfather was to me. All in all, it was a delightful experience and we would come back if we ever have the chance to travel to Sicily in the future.

My family arrived at Rooms 19 not knowing what to expect other than reviews we saw on booking.com. Needless to say this b&b exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The rooms were beautifully furnished with a style of traditional Palermatano mixed with minimalism. The beds were extremely comfortable, I am so picky about beds especially in Italy! The rooms are modern and extremely clean (I am also very picky about cleanliness). Rosalia is an Angel! She will help you whenever you need her for absolutely anything! If you stay on the second floor you can do laundry and you have a kitchen. The breakfast that Fabiola makes is amazing ! I had scrambled eggs with fresh tomato every morning with cafe. It was delicious. Next is the location. La Vucciria is a 5 minute walk and we arrived on Saturday, it was amazing ! Every genre of music from traditional Italian to house music, salsa, reggaeton, it was incredible but if you’re not into nightlife it probably won’t be for you. We went back on Sunday and there was amazing live music. We also caught a cab (Rosalia arranged it for us) to Mondello. It was a 20 minute ride and Mondello was stunning for a 90 degree day! There are 3 amazing restaurants right below rooms 19. The nightlife in Palermo is lively and the restaurants below don’t close until late, if you close the balcony doors to your room along with the shudders the room is soundproof and you can’t hear anything! Overall I would definitely come back to Rooms 19, it was wonderful.

The only drawback could be that if you have any issues with mobility, or walking, this place is not for you, there are many steps and it is not handicap accessible.

Everything was perfect. From the owner Massimiliano – who was there always for us, always looking to help, always checking if everything is okey. All and all, exepcitonal host. 😊 The same goes to the staff at the property. The place is mint clean, they are reminding you if you forgot the fill in the breakfast sheet (which is fresh every morning, with fresh pastry from the local bakery. Location is also perfect, you are just a corner from city centre but in the same time really quiet.

We enjoyed 3 nights at Massimiliano’s property. We had 2 nights 3rd night unavailable at thine of booking)in a spacious room with an interior glass staircase to a private terrace where we had breakfast. We had to move room the third night up to a small room at the top of the property.. 4th floor with very steep narrow stairs . Again we had an even better private terrace with beautiful views . Breakfasts were good , staff were very friendly & helpful.. Valentina was great .. good location,

Fantastic apartment with incredible private terrace in the heart of Palermo. The staff were very friendly and provided a lovely breakfast for us.

The apartment is set at the top of a narrow winding staircase which may not be suitable for everyone. It is also unfortunately located next to some bars which played music until 1am which was quite disruptive when we had an early flight to catch.

The room was actually a few rooms - the bedroom, a kitchenette in a hallway, a separate bathroom, and a private rooftop. Sounds good, right? It was even better - the view was spectacular and the location was just a few minutes walk from some of the best restaurants in Sicily. The lady at the reception desk was very talkative and friendly, and quick to help us with recommendations. Breakfast is ordered the day before, and has dozens of options. We loved everything we got, especially the honey-filled croissants. Beware, though, the coffee is strong! Honestly, looking back, the value here is almost too good to believe. This was our first time in Palermo but we've already decided to come back because it's such a lively city, and when we do, we fully intend to stay here again!!!

We can't complain about anything - this place was a wonderful introduction to Palermo!

Too much stairs to get to the room. For people with mobility restrictions this could be a burden.
