We were under the impression that Domus Castroni Scipioni was a Hotel. Arriving we were clueless on how to enter the building. The taxi driver showed us which buzzer to press. Eventually in we found the big door to no avail for anyone to open. Thankfully a caretaker of the building rang Danial for us and problem solved we were admitted in. Saying all this the confusion could have been made by ourselves not reading the full description of the accommodation. My search was for Hotels in Rome city. The branding of the name ( as per above) looked Hotel as did the photo's of the foyer. Some how I had missed it was a bed and Breakfast. This was our first time in Rome so we were very unfamiliar with getting around. Danial our host was very knowledgeable on all aspects of how to get to meeting points with our tours booked. Which trains etc. What did stand out was the hospitality. It took us a couple of days to get into the swing of things and understand our expectations of our accommodation. Whilst this wasn't a hotel in our initial expectations Domus Castroni Scipioni was a comfortable base for us to explore the wonders of Rome. The accommodation was well priced for being super close to the Vatican and essential train stations and bus stops. Anything I requested was never too much, the Housekeeping was friendly and maintained our room and bathroom. Umbrella's were provided for our use which was much appreciated. Breakfast was basic and sufficient.

Perhaps some written instructions at the entrance of the Bed and Breakfast inside. (Leaving a business card with phone number)

Perfect location in city center and 2 minutes walk from underground, spacious room with high ceiling, reasonable quality/price ratio, allowed late checkin

Basic furniture of the room, basic help-yourself breakfast, thin walls do not help privacy, safe is present in the room but not screwed up to anything

The location was perfect, close to nice restaurants and shops. Also the metro station was 5' walk so it was easy to catch the train to the touristic attractions. Room was comfortable and clean. Daniele was very easy to deal with. He gave us good tips and helped us with the booking of our taxi to the airport. We would definitely recommend this place.

Daniele was very welcoming. He was very understanding and kind because we had a personal issue and he arranged everything for us. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and for breakfast there was delicious coffee and croissants. Will definitely recommend it to my friends In Malta that want to visit Rome and stay close to all the attractions.

Daniele runs a very nice small hotel operation. The room was good with attached bath, all very clean and with sufficient amenities. The breakfast selection is good and even includes fresh croissants . Location is in a nice part of Rome and walking distance to the Vatican and many restaurants.

Everything, the host was very helpful even sending me directions from the airport. Breakfast was lovely.location is within walking distance of all the sites.and a great coffee machine.

Nothing, everything was perfect

I like breakfast. I didn't use a lot cos it was short stay but is nice. You can use coffee machine anytime. Also I like is quiet in this place . Nice pizza opposite building. Easy access everywhere.

Toilet. I think it was some issues with pipes there as toilet was blocked and when I took shower or use sink water was stayed in for long time.

Great location, lots of shops and restaurants, walking distance to the Vatican. Very easy check in and large clean room. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay when back in Rome.

Not a problem for us, but the shower is small

The property was clean and comfortable. it has the best coffee machine. And let’s No forget The break fast. It was so delicious.
