This is a very nice and affordable choice for a stay in Rome; we had free breakfast at very morning (modest but tasty and more than enough to start the day), all staff was super friendly and very kind, it’s close to place where you can eat, have a drink or buy some groceries (Conad I recommend because it’s cheap and has vast variety of supermarket choices). Also, this place support their local community and a way to help them is booking a stay in this hotel. While it’s not in center area you just need to walk 4/7 minutes and you’ll be in a bus to take you straight to main Rome attractions (Colosseum, Fontana di Trevi, etc). If you take a tran/bus from Portage Maggiore (like 10 minutes from this place) you’ll find a Nasoni-free&clean water fountain to refill your bottle and refresh your self.

I wish there was a mirror inside the room but it’s a tiny thing it doesn’t affect my great stay and review.

The guesthouse (foresteria in Italian) of the Salvation Army (esercito della salvezza) is situated in the quarter of San Lorenzo, approximately south-east of the Termini train station. Walking at a brisk pace, you can get to the guesthouse from the station in about 20 minutes. The area is not particularly pleasant, but not in any sense dangerous. There is a restaurant next door and a supermarket at the corner down the street. The receptionist who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. There is a bus (number 71) you can take from the via Tiburtina a short walk from the guesthouse to the via del Tritone (close to the Trevi fountain). The accommodation is very basic but neat and clean. Breakfast is typical Italian: a cornetto (croissant) and coffee. I understand that some of the money you pay for the room goes to the good causes the salvation army is committed to, which is money well spent.

The view from the window was underwhelming. No TV-set. The bed could have been a bit wider.

The breakfast was simple - a pastry and coffe, tea or milk - but it was nice to have it included. There were plenty of good restaurants close by, and it was easy to get around by foot or with public transportation. The staff were courteous, polite and professional. The room seemed very clean, and the bed was comfortable.

I think that if I remember right, there was supposed to be a tv in the room, which there wasn't. But personally I don't view that as a negative, because I came for work and to see Rome, not to watch tv in my room.

Simply equipped. The beds didn’t seem, but were really comfortable. Bathroom and whole room perfectly clean. Breakfast was simple but with options you can get in Rome, it was really sufficient. Price quality ratio was really impeccable. The location near Termini station is great, but the only thing I didn’t like was the road from the station (or whole city centre), because there were a lot of homeless people/refugees and it felt very unsettling. But this is common for stations in big cities, so this is just statement, certainly not a fault on the part of accomodation. I would definitely recommend 10/10.

The staff was really kind and friendly and the room was perfectly clean (except the wall, but you don’t paint it after every guest), also the bathroom. My girlfriend always brings cleaning tissues, but this time, it stayed clean after using it. There is air condition in the room, private bathroom.

No fridge, or anything in the room, only the beds, table and chair. Breakfast is just a small meal (croissant) - however there is a restaurant next to it, so problem solved.

Thanks to this facility for the nice hospitality. We stayed here as a family (all three of us in our 30s). For what this facility offers, it was more than enough for us. The rooms are spacious, very tidy, the bathroom as well. Every day, upon returning to the room, we would be greeted by neatly made beds. We had plenty of new towels. Every morning breakfast, sweet pastries, coffee, more than enough to start the day. We came to enjoy Rome anyway, not to spend time in an apartment. The staff was friendly, they explained everything we needed. The position itself is in the San Lorenzo neighborhood. The Termini station is close to the object just walking, but it is also well connected by public transport. There are many small, authentic restaurants in the neighbourhood and at night, upon returning to the room, there were many options for dinner. We didn't even think about safety, it was completely normal here, so I'm surprised by the reviews that say otherwise. We heard a little noise in the rooms, but that is due to the culture of others who stayed here, it is not the fault of the facility. We had a great time and I'm sure we'll come here again.

Noise that other guests made, but it was not a big deal. Maybe it should be good if it is written somewhere in room, that after 22:00 guests should be calm. But I say again, this is not fault of hotel.

AC and the internet worked great. Very clean. This place served its purpose. All we needed was a clean place to sleep and shower and good internet. Location is about 30 minutes away from everything walking. I would definitely stay here again. This place is kinda like a hostel, but you have your own private room and bathroom. Also reminded me of a hospital room.

This is no 5 star hotel. This is an old Salvation Army that they turned into a hotel. The breakfast is bread and butter. The staff told us about 5 times it was a flat 50 Euros to the airport which is not true. I paid 67 Euros to the airport.

I think this hotel was among the cheapest hotels in central Rome that had a private room and private bathroom. It had everything we needed, and the location is good. Many cafes and bars in the area, and quite a lot of locals. The staff at the hotel were also very helpful,

The included breakfast is not great. We ended up eating elsewhere most days.

Everything was just like I like, a very simple place, very clean with lovely staff who were very willing to assist any time I turned to them. When I found the lock on the door a bit difficult, the maintenace man came immediately and solved the problem. I wasn't interested in a hotel full of amenities because I planned full days touring Rome and needed only a good place to sleep with a 24 hour reception, a place in which I could leave my bags after checkout and with breakfast included. I must say that I arrived at night and was a little afraid to walk in the area at night. The buildings around seemed old, there is graffiti all over the place and I didn't see or hear a lot of people. When the sun rose, I realized that there is a university close by and the area is filled with students, not what I imagined the night before. Just at the end of the short street there is a square which is filled with people in a number of good restaurants and bars. Also on other streets in the area. Close enough to walk to in a couple of minutes but far enough not to hear anything. It is very peaceful here. It turned out to be a special area. It was convenient to have a supermarket at the other end of the street. If I wanted it is a short walk to buses and the metro. I am a walker and did so all day. It is about a 15 - 17 minute walk to Termini station. In short, I would definitely stay here again.

Can't think of anything.
