It was a very clean room with a private bathroom (toilet, bidet, shower booth isolated with a glass door). The room looked so fresh. Bed and beddings were clean and comfortable. Very responsible and available host/manager. They provided us with whatever we needed. They put a lot of drinks, snacks, croissants, and coffee capsules in the room. The best part is that they also put a bottle of wine to welcome and cheer you up :)) Grazie

Only the location is not the best. It takes about 1 hour to reach historical landmarks. Well it is 5 minutes to Finocchio station on Line C, but then 35min on train to San Giovanni and then you might want to change to Line A or bus for your desired destination. Also the area looks a bit scary and the first night the Taxi driver warned us to be careful. However, even at late night when we were walking back home we didn’t encounter any problem. Btw, from Termini taxi costs around €40 with late night fare. But really depends on which route he takes you there.

We visited Rome as part of our honeymoon and saw the Colosseum, Roman forum and the Vatican in our two day stay, however one of our biggest highlights was being the guests of these hosts. They are a lovely couple that go out of thier way to help you and provide great advice from avoidng tourist traps, best methods of travel to reach points of interest, (even got us metro passes for us in advance so we could use them as soon as we got there) the best affordable restraunts to try in rome and even went so far as to help us with a toll issue we had after our stay. They are by far the most helpful and generous hosts we have come across on our travels through Europe so far. On to the room itself, modern, clean, snacks and drinks provided, capsule coffee machine, comfortable bed with memory foam pillows. They had even left a personalised message for us welcoming us and a bottle of sparkly to celebrate our honeymoon. If we ever have the chance to visit Rome again we would definatly be staying here again.

Everything was wonderful! Eva and Giorgio were super kind, offered us a free ride from the airport at 1.30 a.m. which was a huge life-saver, and made many useful suggestions during our stay. They were always responsive and easy to reach in case we needed something. Our room was super clean and comfortable, and the whole area was quiet during the night for a good and uninterrupted rest, which was important because we also traveled to Rome for 3 days-long tattoo sessions with my wife. Also, we thought that we would have to eat outside for breakfast, but they offered many free breakfast items (like jams, coffee, Italian toast, croissants, etc.) and it was a joy to make a slow start for the day while eating our breakfast and enjoying our coffee on the balcony. There was even a white wine for us, but we never had the energy to try it :( Other comments mention location, how far it is from the center etc., but you should remember that Rome is a capital and a big city, so even if you stay somewhere "closer" it will always take time to reach the landmarks unless you're staying at downtown (which I personally hate because of the noise) because the public transport (except the metro) is not the best and it can take time to get through. Metro station is very close to the guesthouse (like 100-150m) and it takes approx. 30 minutes to reach the San Giovanni metro station (we walked 15 minutes to the Colosseum from there for example). Finally, some reviewers also said that the location didn't feel safe (which I also scared a bit in advance), but this was not the case. We never felt unsafe, even for a second, and we live in Turku, Finland :) At least 3 nights, we came back after midnight and it was always safe. Believe me, I've visited different parts of Europe. For example, Oslo downtown and/or most of the parts of Paris feel 1000x unsafe than Rome and also from Finnochio, where the guesthouse was located.

There is nothing negative to mention, everything was perfect. I wanted to write more about the positive things but I didn't have the space above, so I'd like to continue from here. Although we came for a tattoo session, we had 4 days free and also did the Vatican museums/Sistine Chapel, Villa Borghese, the Colosseum with ancient ruins, Castel Sant'Angelo, chilled out in Trastevere, etc., etc., so we were also common tourists, didn't only do the tattoos :) So, don't think like "Oh, these guys didn't come to Rome for a tourist experience, so I'd disregard this comment". In a nutshell, this place is awesome, especially if you are looking for a comfortable, clean, and peaceful stay before exploring Rome, and ok with 30-40 min to reach the landmarks. Many thanks again to Giorgio and Eva!

Friendly hosts Giorgio and Eva, appreciated their suggestions where to go, what to eat, what places to visit. Room as described, clean and they provided also some waters, snacks, coffee tea, and a bottle of wine! If you are not in hurry to visit the city and you want to take your time and to eat proper Italian food, highly recommended to visit the restaurants in the area, they offer nice and quality food! Whatever you need you can find around the guest house, pharmacy, supermarket, shops, cafes, a bar, bank etc. Its around 40 minutes to arrive to main attractions with the metro, and only 3 minutes walk to the metro station, easy to travel around Rome. The area is safe and the people are friendly. Thank you Giorgio and Eva for your hospitality! 5*

Our stay in the apartment was pleasant. The evaluation their business has received is absolutely fair. This is a value for money option, away from the center of Rome with easy access to transport. The metro station is quite close. There are a few shops in the area for everything you need as well as one for coffee and drinks that also works as a mini market that stays overnight and you can find anything you want. Giorgio and Eva were welcoming and we felt them like our own people. Especially when we needed them for a difficult case we faced. I wish them the best.

The facilities were great, the room was super clean, spacious but cozy and it was en-suite. Very nice of the owners as there were snacks, drinks, coffee and wine provided without any extra charge! The location is quite far from the centre but the general commute isn’t too bad, ca. 30 mins on metro C with no changes though the change for metro A isn’t too much of a problem. Will definitely recommend, very much enjoyed the stay there!

The room was fantastic, couldn't fault it at all. Lovely selection of treats & some soft drinks in the fridge & a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. Very clean fresh towels, nice bed. The metro is just down the street but it's alot of stops like 10-14 ( forgotten) but not less than that and changing over trains to get to Rome city. It's a good 40 mins or more ( can't rightly remember) definitely no less on that either. One suggestion I would offer is, more pillows! One is definitely not enough. I had to use a hoody under my pillow for added elevation.

The location is awful. I felt uncomfortable going out at night. Nothing much to do around there either. Very dirty & rough looking. The room definitely made up for the location. If the room was in a different location, I'd happily stay there again.

We booked the apartment for the night and it was far better than we expected. We had a separate living room with a kitchen to ourselves and our own bathroom. We were spoilt for space and felt that it was a bargain for the price, especially in such an expensive city as Rome. The apartment was spotless and had all the amenities one might need. We were kindly provided with snacks, breakfast foods and wine. We appreciated the hospitality of the hosts.

Distance from the centre. It took nearly an hour to get to the centre of Rome on 2 different metro lines. Travel was affordable (at only 1.5 euros for the whole journey one way).

It was 3mins away from the train. The room came with so many snacks and drinks that were all included. The check in process was super easy. The bed was outstandingly comfortable.

It was just a bit difficult to find, you have to go down a driveway and we didn't know that.

The room we stayed in was nice and tidy, perfectly clean, with WiFi and a small fridge, there was even a coffee maker. The bed was really comfortable, and location of the guesthouse is good since it is near Finocchio metro station. The host was super friendly, flexible and helpful, and he even drove us to the Ciampino airport since it was an early morning flight and it would be difficult to get there without his help. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in the G21 B&B Guest House and we would recommend it to anyone 🙂
