- Check in was smooth, done within 5 minutes - Staff was helpful and really awesome - Morning breakfast comes with real good options just for 5 euros, includes really good options like cake/coffee/juice/cereals/pie etc - Location is great, few minutes from Trastevere station - Clean and good room/toilet/sheets/blanket - Spacious room/bed, I'm 6 ft 90kg hence need some quality 😆 Overall I would recommend this one anytime over most hostels in Rome.

These can be ignored if you are not too particular about your stay and dont want to spend big bucks for hotels. - There was no mention of 20 euro deposit till you return the key(thankfully staff reduced it to 10e since I didnt have 20 cash). - The bathroom door was fashionably horrible, upper and lower part of door is transparent, really awkward when someone is bathing 😓 (photo given) - There was no bedlamp/nightlamp in room, My roommates asked me to keep the only light of the room off whole day/night and I had to use mobile flashlight for everything (pack/change/unpack) & reception was too far away to complain.

The staff are friendly

The first room the gave us (private with twin beds) was great. Then they asked us to move to another room for the last night and offered us free breakfast for the inconvenience. The second room (no 27) was too small and curtains were hanging as a result the sun was shining inside early in the morning. I suggest to fix the curtains in this room. Also the breakfast is very unhealthy and everything is sweet. I suggest to add some tomato’s and some fresh cheese like feta cheese. It won’t add much extra cost to include a few healthy salty options into it.

The hostel is clean, contains a terrasse, kitchen , private bathroom for the girls room. Everything was clean and hygienic. The position of the hostel is good in a clean and calm street near to everything you will need. I would definitely come back again

The philipina girl on the reception made me wait extra 45min after 15h for the check in even if the room was ready. So i waited for a guy to come then made check in for me. Also they asked me to make a deposit of 20€ in case i lost the keys, ofc i didn’t accept as it was not mentionned on booking. Except that everything was good 👍🏽

The staff was friendly and the room was big enough. The bathroom was nice and big and airy. Plenty of space for the guests in the waiting room.

The check in process was terrible. Super slow and they didn't seem to care. One person was checking people at peak check-in time. And he would leave to show people their rooms and this made the process very long. All this time there was someone else there just clicking away at the same check-in computer whenever the guy checking in people left. One could be checking in and the other showing people their rooms. The whole process took about an hour!

the common spaces were beautifully decorated. nice and clean spaces, better bathroom than my house!

the clear shower doors were less than ideal in a mixed dorm.

Easy check-in despite arriving at 1am. Relaxing and open communal spaces. Decent location. No issues with noise.

Had to rent a towel for €3 each. On the 2nd night I returned to find my towel taken by the staff. Old fashion locks for toilets so there’s lots of fiddling with the key. Glass doored showers in communal bathroom - might be able to lock the front door but that prevents others from using the toilets or the other shower. Lockers require personal padlock and key, which I had, however, it seems safer and more convenient if the hostel provided them so that if someone loses their key can still retrieve their stuff.

Gabriel, the receptionist was great! he made me feel at home with his smile every time i came back to the hostel. i really think he was the main point for me, to have an amazing time in Rome. Thank you Gabriel!

they change me of hostel because the original one (trastevere) was over booked. the new place (Borgo Ripa) was pretty nice and felt as an "upgrade" at the end. the only down side is that they just opened and miss few items like bed lamp, hand soap in the bathrooms, a table in the room. But i am sure they will improve very soon!

Great location, is very central and is close to public transportation. I was a bit afraid after reading some really bad reviews but my experience was perfect even though they made some confusion with my reservation it was very quickly solved with an upgrade of my booking and free breakfast!!! The staff is lovely, attentive, and always willing to help in the best way they could. I'd definitely come back!

No power sockets close to the bed was a bit annoying and the bathrooms could use a little maintenance in regards to clogging pipes both in the sink and shower.
