The location is perfect... just 2 blocks away from the Coliseum! The room was clean, and staff were friendly and helpful! Even though this is an older hotel, the air conditioning worked well and it had all the modern conveniences (lift, in-room bathroom wifi, e.t.c). I would stay here again! 🙂👍

The noise transfer from the lobby through the door was high. Conversations in the room may not be private. The beds were OK for us, but some might find them too firm.

The lady that checked us in & out was lovely; she was helpful, kind & hospitable. I actually loved the ‘vintage’ feel of the lift (elevator). The reception area to the rooms was kept clean & well-lit. Our room was relatively small, but I honestly didn’t need anything bigger than what we got, considering we had 2 checked-in luggages & a carryon bag, & we still had a lot of space & were comfortable. The amenities (bathroom, shower, TV) all worked well. We didn’t encounter any issues during our stay. I will definitely stay again at Hotel Paba in the future! The location is great (the Colosseum is < 5-mins walk behind the hotel) & customer service is excellent!

Nothing; I didn’t encounter any problems at all. If I had a question or needed something (an extra pillow), it was there when we came back.

Everything was great. To help others if it’s not clear from the description - there is really no reception (it’s on a separate floor and only works 9 am-7 pm) and there are no amenities and no breakfast either, since it’s located in the residential building it’s more of an Airbnb. With that said, I think it’s a great hotel that’s inexpensive, clean and provides everything you need.

The property had an amazing location and was very clean! Not sure why it only has 2 stars because this place is absolutely adorable. Alberta made the stay even more enjoyable! she gave us a map of the city and even great recommendations. We loved coming back and seeing her at the end of our day. There is also a smart tv that has Netflix and other apps so you can watch your favorite shows at the end of the day. We would go out and explore in the mornings and some days came back for a nap because of so much walking and pasta lol Absolutely 10/10! Wonderful experience!! there’s also stores and a restaurant right across the street that is open super late in case you get a late night craving for a sandwich and some wine.

Hotel Paba Inn is a comfortable, immaculately clean, cozy home away from home near the Colosseum in Rome. We were surprised that it was located on the second floor of a building which houses other businesses, but we found it to be a very quiet building. The staff were very welcoming and were eager to provide information about the sites. We appreciated the coffee corner near our room! The location is fantastic! We stayed in the Economy Double Room (it was the only one available), but it was still comfortable. We are early risers so the noise from the entrance door next to our room was not a problem. However, for those who like to sleep late the sound from the entrance door (only in this particular room) might disturb their sleep.

Rick Steves describes Hotel Paba as "lovingly run," and that's a good description. It was scrupulously clean, very comfortable, and the staff very clearly cared - a lot - about our comfort and our enjoyment of our visit. The location is ideal for Ancient Rome, with less crowded places accessible as well and lots of restaurant choices within blocks.

The hotel is in a multi-use building on the very busy and touristy Via Cavour. But no worries - as soon as you step into the hotel it's clean, quiet, and comfortable, and non-toursit-trap dining is within a few blocks.

The room was spacious and felt safe. The tea was nice to have in the morning or evening. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Alberta was a great host who was responsive and accommodating with dropping off our bags early and any other small needs we inquired about.

The beds were not the most comfortable, they could have benefited from a mattress topper. The water for the shower turned cold quite quickly and hair dryer seemed to break without much use.

The cleanliness comfort and warmth. The location couldn't have been better , a few hundred yards from the Coliseum, next door to a convenience store and several really nice eateries, and between two Metro stops within 5 min walk.

We hadn't realised the hotel was on the 2nd floor of a 5 storey building so when we walked in from the street it appeared to be a cold, shabby entrance hall.with no directions to point us to the lift.

Property was great value for where it was located, just a 5 min walk to the colosseum. It feels more like a self-managed bnb. The lady managing the place was nice and let us leave our luggage there when we arrived early. The walls are a little thin though so you can sometimes hear other people talking. However we were jet lagged so that definitely did not bother us. The bathroom is a little small but good for what it needs to be.

Everything was beautiful and clean. The hotel host Alberta was wonderful, very helpful and sweet. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are ever visiting Rome.

What I didn't like was that you could hear all the other guests through the walls and also the outside sirens all night. I was also upset to find that I had no hot water to shower one morning, I waited about 50 mins to see if it came back and it never did.
