The hosts were very friendly and helpful but don't speak English so keep your phone handy for translating. The accommodation is just fine for 3 days sightseeing, with full kitchen facilities which is handy.

It's a 20 minute walk to the nearest metro station to travel to the centre of Rome. You cannot stop a taxi in the street like you can in other countries and booking a specific time for pickup is difficult, which the hosts arranged for us as the taxi companies mostly don't speak English.

The host was so obliging to ensure that we were welcomed into her home and its lovely garden. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations and was very filling. Knowing that we were leaving that day, Veronica even wrapped up a couple of panini for our train trip. Her garden is an oasis in the middle of the city, peaceful and beautiful and she took great pride in showing it to us. We enjoyed a cup of tea in the garden at our leisure. The room/bathroom was spotless and comfortable.

This is a very beautiful villa. The surroundings consist of small, bright villas in a circle of gardens. Villa Pagagini is no exception. The house is very clean, the room has everything you need: air conditioning, closet, its own bathroom, towels, shampoos. In addition to the room you can use the small kitchen, which has dishes, refrigerator and stove. The hosts cook breakfast outside on the terrace. Monica makes paninis, coffee and serves jam that she brews herself. We fell asleep and woke up late and were the last to arrive for breakfast, but Monica greeted us daily at breakfast with a big smile. One day I didn't finish my breakfast, but not because it wasn't good, but because I couldn't eat that much anymore! In the evening we sat in the garden. It was the first time we had ever seen a hummingbird! It was just fabulous! The owners only speak Italian. But that wasn't a problem. There is a note in English in the room with all the necessary information. I was celebrating my birthday in Rome. We decided to stay at Villa Paganini and have never regretted it.

there's nothing we don't like

Villa Paganini was one of our best stays, if not the best, especially considering the good price. We were kindly greeted by our host, Mrs. Veronica even tough we arrived almost at midnight. Both the room itself as well as the bathroom were spotless clean we had towels to spare. The room was cleaned everyday. The spaces were very generous and look exactly as in the pictures. The mattress and pillows were comfortable and so were the linens and towels (although it should go without saying). There is a smart TV in the room, with youtube and Netflix, so one can connect their accounts with ease and enjoy some entertainment. We didn't use it much, as most of the time was spent enjoying Rome. We got really nice weather in November, so we savoured our morning coffee in the beautiful yard where we snatched a delicious tangerine/clementine (never know he difference) from. Breakfast can be arranged beforehand in terms of preferences, but we enjoyed delicious paninis, yogurt and croissants with the (famous) home made jams. The area itself is nice and quiet, but close to bus stops: we took bus 19 to the Vatican and 80 from Piazza Venezia when we were too tired to walk back home. Plenty of bars and restaurants are nearby as well. Now, last but not least, our host was wonderful; although she doesn't speak English, we actually spoke the same language and boy, how lucky we were: Mrs. Veronica went above and beyond for us and even borrowed us bus tickets (until we figured out the app.) and even took us to the bus station. Located in a good quite area (without graffiti on the walls everywhere), walking distance from villa Borghese, 20 min by foot through nice local city district Coppedè Quarter. Lot of transport around to go to Termini or city centre but we walked all the time and it was not too far for us. Breakfast is moderate but good. High level hospitality. Clean and tidy accommodation. Bed is comfortable. All positive reviews are true. Noise from flying planes can be heard from time to time.

The best stay ever during our traveling history. This is a unique place to stay with a lovely family. All of the previous reviews speak volumes. Beautiful rooms, amazing hosts, great breakfasts including the famous jams, this is a home from home. The hosts only spoke Italian but this was not a problem as we all could understand what were were all saying somehow. To get to the centre of Rome take a 3 min walk through the park and jump on the number 60 Bus to take you a 10 min drive to the centre of Rome for the Colosseum and the Trevi fountain. This is a must stay for anyone visiting Rome. We will return.

Nothing to dislike

Comfortable stay with a beautiful garden and kitchenette area. The breakfast was fantastic and owner is really lovely. Public transport will need to be used to get to the main tourist sites which was easy enough. It was nice to be staying a bit further away from the touristy areas. Heaps of supermarkets and food places nearby. Would recommend!

Amazing place. Cultured, sophisticated atmosphere. The area is tranquil yet also centrally located, which is rare in busy Rome. The staff treats the guests as if they were close friends or family.

I should have booked two rooms because my daughter had a cold and I wanted to isolate. However, this is no reflection on the property. I did not ask for the second room, but I am sure it would not have been a problem.

We had the best stay at Villa Paganani BB. The hotel has just 3 rooms and is in a lovely residential area which is very quiet area. The owners were so lovely and provided us with the most amazing hospitality, it felt like we were staying with relatives not strangers! The cooked breakfasts were amazing, complete with home made jams. I was taken ill on our last day and was able to stay in the room until leaving for the airport which made a difficult journey home much better.

I stayed at Villa Paganini because of its proximity to the venue of an event I was attending in Rome. The place really surprised me. Entering you feel like coming into someone's beautiful home, with a stunning garden and a lovely lady, Veronica, that greets you and shows you around. The place is extremely quiet, the room is spacious, there is air conditioning, and it is clean. Veronica prepared an excellent breakfast even though I was the only guest at the time, and she really made a difference in my stay with her welcoming manners. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
