Staff were super helpful and kind, gave us a free upgrade which was really appreciated with our 20month old who had the space to run around ! Restaurant was great with good amount of choice, beach bar and pool setup lovely, and the private beach had several different areas so never felt remotely busy. An amazing base for anyone wanting to explore the Maddalena archipelago (which everyone should - it's stunning ) and seriously good value for money in high season compared to NE Sardinia mainland hotels

Not a problem for us but obviously you would need to drive everywhere at night / in the day from here. Tbh in all of Sardinia it's better with a car anyway - we spent a day exploring Maddalena/ Caprera and then a day on a boat around the rest of the islands - thoroughly recommend

We loved our stay at Hotel Cala Lunga. The hotel’s secluded location was a fantastic getaway from the crowds of mainland Sardinia, while still being very well equiped with 2 smaller private beaches and a pool, along with a third beach (Spiaggia Cala Lunga) close by. The hotel’s staff were very accommodating and welcoming throughout (especially Robert and the maître at La Terrezze), which made the experience extra pleasant. Highly recommend the boat excursion to the La Maddalena archipelago, which departs from Porto Massimo (in front of the hotel) and can be organised via the hotel. Because of the secluded location, hiring a car / moped is beneficial for exploring the rest of the island’s beaches.

Minor thing: the air conditioning struggled a little (still tolerable), but we stayed during the middle of an extreme heatwave.

This is a unique venue set on a private peninsula with 4 private beaches, swimming pool, 2 cocktail Bars, a nightclub at the end of the peninsula for the jet set. The GM - Robert James was amazing. He is professionalism personified. Our degustation dinner 38 euro pp was excellent. 5 courses spread over 3 hours on the outside terrace under the stars. The Terrace was phenomenal. Service is first-class. A very special destination. One of a kind.

I didn't like that we didn't stay an extra 2 nights.

It’s pretty remote (which was really lovely since less people and quieter) but roads to get to the property are a bit narrow - not bad just would be warned! Everything else was perfect

Absolute hidden gem. Reception staff were exceptional upon arrival - we were early but they made us very comfortable and after a short tour went straight to the beach for lunch. The facilities were amazing - lots of private beaches, lunch spots, beautiful port and stunning architecture. As we were only staying 1 night we were upgraded which was extremely generous - sea view room that I cannot fault one bit. All the food we had at our stay was perfect and very well priced. Beaches were beautiful, some of the nicest water I’ve ever seen. Great location on the island and we were given lots of areas to explore (we had a car) which was amazing. Very reasonable room rate given all of the above. We will 100% be returning for a much longer stay, and can’t wait! Couldn’t recommend more.

Restaurant upstairs is slightly dated, but the food and staff were fantastic and the price is subsidised so really can’t fault it. We also sat outside on the terrace so wasn’t a problem at all.

We LOVED our stay here. From the moment we arrived and were met by Robert, it got better and better. We were given a complementary room upgrade to a very comfortable, newer (and not spacious but plenty big enough) room. The food at the restaurant was excellent, the beaches were nice, and we enjoyed everything - including the packaged lunch that we took with us to the beach one day. Overall an excellent stay.

The awfulllll smell in the room. We advised right away the lady at reception but said couldn't do much.. we felt no compassion at all. Pricey room ....and smelly ☹ At that price for a normal room do you really have to charge (if I remember correctly, 3 euros for the swimming pool towels) 😕 I couldn't believe it! A complimentary bottle of water would have been appreciated!

poor Wi-Fi, only by the lobby and restaurant. check-out at 10am. as we wanted to enjoy the day at beach and depart around 2pm, we asked if there would be changing room/showers, and we were told yes, by the pool. unfortunately that is not the case, and there was only a outside shower by the pool, and some toilets. some miscommunications with staff

We were not sure upfront if the price is legitimate, but it is! The location with its private beaches is very unique! Furthermore the whole staff was super friendly and also the room furniture has a local touch. The breakfast had various (also not sweet) options which is not usual in Italy and therefore was also very great in combination with the spectacular view from the terrace. Since we were there in low season we always had no struggle finding a nice place on the beach and in the restaurants. We would definitely come back!

If I have to find something, it would be that the beds are a little bit hard but that’s kind of usual in Italy. We got used to it. Wifi could have been a little bit better, but that’s just little aspects!

Food at the lower restaurant was ok not amazing. We have lived in Italy for 1.5 years and have had better food.
