I booked Solun for second time. The hotel is nice, The lobby is voluminous and stylish. The room was under the roof (pitched ceiling) very charming (single room on 4th floor). Correct breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

The breakfast was exceptional, certainly the best of my trip. Shower also. Was a tad concerned about the beams that I almost bumped my head on every time I got out of bed. Staff A!

The only problem I had was getting lost...my fault not yours !

Single rooms in hotels are usually small - often almost afterthoughts - but my experience in Hotel Solun was contrary to this, and exceptional. Uncertain when I first made the booking, the room was in reality bigger than many double rooms in other hotels in which I've stayed. It was superbly appointed and comfortable. Contemporary art and photographs decorating the dark walls of the common spaces were also captivating. Credit should go to Andrea and Maria on reception for their help and friendliness, as well as to Valentina and to all her colleagues both serving and in the kitchen. They worked so hard providing a great breakfast in the restaurant.

A modern colorful hotel exuding a hip/artsy vibe. Bold artwork and sculptures contrast its historic interiors. Top-floor single rooms have beds and desk under the rafters, so watch your head! The room was spacious with a comfy full-size bed, multi lighting options, a spacious bathroom with large walk-in shower and generous amenities. The buffet breakfast was very good with assorted savory and sweet items and beverages. Located approx. 10 minutes walking distance from railway station and minutes from the main sights. Highly recommend.

The room temperature was too hot (24-25C) and could not be adjusted.

It is the 2nd time we came to Solun, we came back because the breakfast is amazing with a lot of fresh options every day and the location of Solun is central and pretty close to all bus stations including Piazza Oberdan. There is a pretty good restaurant just around the corner called Sbecolez where we ate for 3 times and the octopus was actually the best I’ve ever eaten including in Greece. The shopping area is nearby with a 5 min walk till Zara and other pretty cool shops like Footlocker or Ottica Ochioblu. Flavio was nice the first time upgrading us for free to a better room and so did he now, the second time getting the deluxe suite for free 🙏

Not much, probably the only thing is if you come with a car parking is a issue and would’ve been nice to have lunch at the hotel too.

I requested a quite room, was allocated room not next to the street - which was great. Rooms tastefully decorated and nice size including the bathroom. Loved the Illy coffee in the room. Nice to have been able to walk to the City square at night for dinner.

Not the hotel's problem, but when I arrived at the station, could not find a taxi. Although the hotel is not far from the station, one can walk, but with luggage a hassle. May be book a taxi upon arrival. When I left the staff called a taxi for me - worked out well. Breakfast was ok - not that great, I had breakfast after the morning rush - staff was not that attentive, more concerned about clearing up. Just a suggestion - although luggage was stored the next day, may be have a system to ensure only the guest can collect their luggage - all luggage stored in one room, anyone can retrieve luggage.

Great location between the main transport hubs and the old city without being directly next to either. Well equipped room with walk-in drench shower and extensive bathroom surfaces for storage. Minibar and tea/coffee facilities (hotel uses full fat UHT milk - get fresh from local supermarket if you prefer). Our room had a small balcony onto the interior courtyard which was really useful for drying stuff! Excellent breakfast with a wide selection of continental and Italian choices, different selections each day, all good. Would happily stay here again.

We choose is hotel because of location, being close to the train station and the ship passenger terminal. The room was very clean and the bed was just perfect for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was amazingly satisfying with a good selection of food. The hotel allowed us to store our luggage from check out time until late in the afternoon which allowed us time for extra sight seeing.

No complaint about anything.

We had a bit of a mix up as to where to park. For the first two nights we actually parked in the wrong car park. The young girl on reception when we arrived late did not speak English and we did not speak Italian so that was the start of it. If you are using the car park then lease ask for the address of the car park.

Location perfect. A short walk from the train station and the city centre. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable . Good shower. Towels need replacing, they were rough. Did not eat in the hotel. Plenty of cafes nearby for breakfast. On arrival the staff were not overly friendly but at check out the lady was very nice. I would stay here again and I would recommend this hotel.
