The atmosphere (!); the location/surrounding (!); the hotel itself; the room (large); the room view; the staff; the amenities (finally a hotel investing in good quality, the amenities are made in Italy!); the products one can buy in the hotel; the bed; price/quality; we also liked the old-fashioned roomkey! We intend to come back.

The bed sheets were a bit too warm; the toilet is small and high, the shower head may need to be replaced; the breakfast was fine: the cheeses; tea etc were fantastic, but some drinks/food (coffee; croissants, scrambled eggs) could be of a better quality. We have not tried the restaurant in the evening (expensive). We believe an easy/cheaper menu, or roomservice would benefit the hotel guests (we for instance were not hungry after a long trip and didn't want/need anything fancy)

This small "boutique" hotel is in an exceptional location, beautiful, memorable, historic. We stayed there in August 2023, and loved the location, the view from the bedroom, and the Breakfast which is marvelous (warm weather allowed us to eat outside on the restaurant's balcony).

Dinner in the hotel may be very good (attractive small menu); however, as the restaurant opens rather late at 19:30, with most guests + visitors expecting to begin their dinners between 19:30 and 20:00, with the consquence that the restaurant staff is unable to cater to everyone in a timely manner. On another note, Room No.9 is exactly below the restaurant, and not to be recommended if you wish to sleep early, as the restaurant above closes at midnight, and staff then begin to prepare the space for breakfast, with the noise of moving tables and chairs coming through the ceiling down to Room No.9. All other rooms are highly recommended. We will go again !

This hotel is the most romantic, private and fun place we have been in awhile. The kindness from the people there was amazing. They helped us with everything. I really liked that even tho it was an old establishment it was very clean and well kept This is a ROMANTIC HOTEL The bad reviews are so unfair. If you wanted chicken nuggets or a hamburger for dinner this is not the right hotel for you. They serve nice well portinioned food and delicious wine. In a very private setting. Yall are mad about everything for no reasons lol

The parking is a bit complicated but I wouldn't give it less stars for it. I parked the car in a safe area and very close to the hotel, they even offered to help with our luggage.

Private parties over Halloween period preventing use of restaurant. Notified in advance that there were to be children in the adult only romantic restaurant. We were not notified that we would not be able to access the restaurant on most nights of our stay Thankfully, there are some excellent restaurants in the village

The little amazing hotel is in a beautiful “old town” called Sacro Monte. You can do your own walking tour through the beautiful old streets. there is something special to see in every street and corner of the little town. We had a lovely room with a spectacular view! You really feel like you are in old town Italy. We were only there for one night, but it was still very nice. The bathroom was a little small, but it did not bother us. The bed was nice and the room was warm(we were there in winter). We had dinner at the Hotel’s restaurant. The dining hall was made up beautifully with lights, candles and flowers. The music was romantic and the atmosphere was very nice. The dinner was very good. It was expensive for us coming from South Africa with a much weaker currency, but we still enjoyed the evening a lot. Breakfast was also lovely on the outside balcony overlooking the valley.

The village, where the hotel is located, is in a fantastic position to overlook the valley (the start of the Pianura Padana rolling down towards south). The hotel itself is a beautiful building, with a '50 charm that makes it unique. The room was huge. The terrace, where you can have breakfast and dinner (depending on the weather) is spectacularly romantic. The staff has been great in welcoming us and spoiling us.

The hotel - and the village - are a bit 'remote'. We planned a 3 night staying. Might have been too long. It seems that most of the couples spend just 1 night there.

Amazing, and almost mystic setting with breathtaking view of lake Varesa and surrounding hills. Room was simple, but full of charm and personality. Our room had a lovely sitting area in a gallery above the bed. Two large windows allowed for the presence of the moon to peer in over our bed and lots of cool air to amplfy the romantic ambiance. The staff was respectful and made real attempts at being helpful, despite feeling at times that we were imposing on them. The village around sacro monte kept surprising us with historical wonders, peaceful pathways, and unusual religous statues . Breakfast was lovely with fesh fruit, pastries, yogurt and deli goodies. Eggs on request. Dinner looked amazing, but a bit beyond our budget.

For staying more than one day, parking was more than a hassle. It is far from the entrance of the hotel and logistically problematic, going in and out. The hotel does not separate its restaurant customers from its dinner clients. We found ourselves having to figure out alternative parking options several times. The staff just smiled and said: Oh we are sorry, but there is nothing that we can do about the locals using our hotel space when they come to eat. Despite this being a real problem ,I still loved the place and its quirkness. Not a reason not to come, just come with an open mind and a sense of humour.

Location, with breathtaking view over Varese, lake and all, lively art deco style house pitched high between green giants (trees) almost on top of this very old sanctuary. Nice discovery

Getting there, late invthe evening with Navigator making us do a million twists and turns - until we called and they guided us to the parkibg which is a few hundred meters away - in those steep hills… best travel light. But for one night it is lovely.

The hotel is flush with old time charm, with a decoration redolent of a modernist epoch. Rooms were charming and spotlessly clean, beds comfortable, excellent bath linen and incredible views onto the valley and the Varese Lake. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Perhaps the most pleasant suprise for us was the location: perched atop a mountain, the hotel is part of a quaint little town, the SAcro Monte, which is actually a UNESCO site - picture small cobblestoned streets, old churches, charming little restaurants. We didn't try the canddle lit dinner,but it looked rather lovely.

Nothing not to like, even the fact that you can't reach the hotel door by car (it's about 100 meters or so to the parking) adds to its charm.

Great room ask for the room with the view it's worth the asking. very special hotel, great breakfast, if you can eat outside on the balcony the view is amazing.

It's hard to reach the hotel entrance with the motorcycle so we parked on the parking lot and had to carry all the luggage up the hill to the hotel. Consider no elevators so stairs to the rooms and stairs inside some of the rooms.
