The location is excellent - the hotel is located near a quiet street just a few minutes away from Piazza San Marco. The staff was also very good. Before our arrival, we have received lots of useful info about Venice and local transportation from them. They were also happy to answer all the questions and help with both self check in and very early check out. They also immediatelly fixed the problem with a loose part in our bed after we noticed it. The room itself was clean and had all the appliances mentioned in the offer - no surprises here. The bathroom was also well maintained and very spacious.

The rooms are definitely not quiet - due to the construction of the building, one can hear lots of noises from other flats and rooms. There are also no mosquito nets in the windows, and I think they could be very useful given that the rooms had no AC either, making us choose between having an open window and getting bitten by annoying insects.

Clean, great location, helpful owner who communicated in advance and during our stay via whatsapp. They separated the beds in the apartment for my nieces... and we saw a humming bird in the flowerbox on our balcony! Clean rooms which were properly cleaned every day too. The hotel, like many properties in venice, is an ancient old building. Despite that, the bathroom and bedroom looked recently refurbished and bright. Location is 2 min walk from San Samuele dock from where you can get the main Vaporetto (line 2) from the station or else book an early water taxi to the airport (which we did too). Sujan offered to help arrange the taxi. Location is also great for Le Cafe for breakfasts, and for quick walks either over to San Polo (better value eating in my opinion) or to St Mark's square for the main tourist action. Great little USB gadget provided which, given the million different Italian plug sockets you can get in these old buildings, meant that we had no problem keeping all our devices charged. Wifi was good quality too.

It was the middle of the heatwave in Italy (35 in the day, 28 at night) and no aircon in the room. I knew that in advance, so no false advertising from the owners but it still affected my comfort. There was a great electric fan, which helped me survive but it wasn't enough for me (and i'm English, we're not addicted to aircon like Americans!). Expensive for what it is, but i think this is more a matter of getting used to "venice prices". Compared to say Tuscany or Lake Garda it was almost double the price. I would have happily paid 20% more for aircon.

This is the best you can get in this budget in a most popular tourist destination in the world . The hotel is nothing fancy but you cant complain about anything. It gives you what you may need to stay as close to water as possible in Venice and still enjoy the long walks in streets of Venice. There are two bathrooms and they are shared across 6 rooms although i didn't face any challenge as i never found them occupied so its alright i guess .There are many coffee shops and restaurants near this hotel .

There is no coffee machine or hot water cattle in the room or anywhere in hotel . I asked the hotel staff to include it in future and they agreed. May be when you visit they will have a shared coffee machine :-)

This hotel was cute as a button. Decoration was sparse, but had some classic touches and an authentic, special feel. Everything worked and not really any complaints. It was on a pretty street with art galleries, which was very quiet (and dark) at night, so we were not disturbed by outside noise. It wasn't possible to walk onto the 'balcony', but the windows and view, complete with flowers and authentic shutters, were lovely.

Hotel was in a slightly awkward location, but that obviously can't be helped, and I ended up getting a Two Euro gondola taxi across the river to reach it when I first arrived, as the bridge was a little far off. Nothing that couldn't be overcome with a little planning though, and it meant we ended up exploring more areas to the South of this beautiful city.

We visited in the winter, so a warm room and warm water were important to us. The hotel provided a room with two radiators, where we could easily dry our clothes after a rainy day. An extra electrical radiator was provided for extra heat. Warm water was also available and although we had to let the water run for 1-2min berore it got hot, it was possible to take a nice warm shower.

We had to let the water run for 1-2min berore it got hot, but after that it was possible to take a nice warm shower.

Fab 3 night stay in Venice.. Hotel was in a quiet street, near to all the sightseeing attractions.. Check in was really smooth with good communication beforehand.. Our room was the economy double, basically a bed & shower room, lovely high beamed ceiling, but suited us as was just somewhere to sleep after a busy day.. San sameule vaporetra/ water bus stop was 2 mins away.. We purchased a 72hr ticket for water buses well worth the 45€ .. we also used them to visit Murano & Burano, both well worth a visit.. Would recommend staying at San Samuele for location & cleanliness

Mosquitoes in the room were a problem, bitten quite alot..maybe plug ins to remedy it

1. Close to San Marco square with 10mins walk and water bus station with 3 minutes walk 2. With a pretty balcony 3. The staffs are nice and helpful, providing some traveling routes

1. Without AC, although there’s fan, it’s still hot that I couldn’t sleep at night 2. The room it self is super clear, however, if you don’t close window at night, there’ll be some bugs fly into the room ( but it’s difficult to close the window as it’s hot in summer)

easy self check in process, basic room but had everything we needed for a 3 night stay (we had a private bathroom too). great location near 2 x vaporetto stops and also less than 10 min walk to st marks square. there is a cafe nearby called le cafe with amazing pistachio croissants!

the bed wasn’t the comfiest but it was OK. I messaged the hotel a week or so before our trip asking something and they never replied to my email or WhatsApp message, but staff were nice at the hotel itself when we were there.

Great location, you can reach San Marco and Rialto within 10 minutes (max) walking. Very important ! Vaporetto station San Samuele is at 2 min maximum from the hotel and has the most important 2 lines: no2 day line which can take you to the most important objectives and noN night line which can take you to the Tronchetto parking in case you have bus transfer or car. Judith is very caring with her clients. She is very responsive and helpful via whatsapp/phone/live. Always with a smile on her face and voice. Bathrooms (private and shared) are very clean. There is a fridge in the common area to keep water/beer/snacks cool. Fast check-in, fast check-out, no paperwork at all. Small market and restaurant just outside the hotel.

If you are a quick sleeper, then the outside noise won't bother you (windows open). It's not that bad, in weekdays it's quiet at around 11-11:30 PM, in weekends at around 1-2 AM, depending on the party people :). This next one is very subjective and personal: being in Venice and having lots of water, the humidity was high and so there were mosquitos during the night. My entire family is allergic to them so we had to chase them down. There was a mosquito repellent in the room, but they still managed to get in, so maybe a mosquito net would have done the job.

The apartment was clean. The room configuration worked for us. The location was as fantastic. The view from our upper floor suite was awesome. I slept good in the bed. it had glassware and the appliances worked.

the lighting was hard for putting on makeup. part of the flooring was crumbling…not that big of a deal, but I kept stepping in the loose concrete. it was a little noisy but ear plugs worked great. We missed our water taxi because we arrived late so the walk to the apartment was difficult.
