All the staff were very friendly, helpful & professional. The hotel had a lovely rooftop terrace bar. Hotel ideally located in the historic centre which made sightseeing much more bearable in the extreme heat.All areas of the hotel very clean. Lovely unexpected surprise of a cake on my birthday...excellent personal touch

The lift direct to the breakfast room was extremely small which could result in lengthy delays going to & from breakfast. Breakfast a little disappointing for a 5 star hotel.The rooftop bar closing at 23.00 could be frustrating if calling in after an evening meal.

Bit smelly from outside sanitation through open window in room. We were initially put in room 411 on the Saturday we arrived, which had a few issues, pillows were rock hard, no shower head on shower, fridge didn’t work, blocked basin, air con didn’t work plus we felt it wasn’t worth the money we had paid for our 4 night stay, which amounted to approx £340 per night. The total was paid in full 5 months earlier too. We complained Sunday morning and we were moved immediately to room 312, which was of a much higher standard and worth the money. It was a bit of an inconvenience as we had to pack and unpack again but it didn’t take us long. After that everything was fine and our stay was excellent.

Location was really good, easily nearby all the sites we wanted to see. The staff went out of their way to do things especially at breakfast they were wonderful with our 10 month old baby. The room was so spacious, clean and was decorated so well. No complaints whatsoever. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would recommend especially for families with young babies as the hotel provided a great travel crib and when we asked for a kettle in the room so we could boil water for our baby's feeds, it came within minutes!

We love this hotel and would only stay here when in Verona. The location is fantastic and the sense of history wonderful. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive with a particular word for our old friend Franco; don't let him retire! The roof terrace was fantastic and is much better since you provided covers to protect it from the heat.

Although the room facing the square was lovely we felt that as a superior/luxury room it could have been a little larger.

We had a wonderful stay. We have been before. All of your staff are wonderful. We remember Franco, Vincenzo and Ali from our previous visit. They are friendly and efficient. We like them very much. Our room was lovely. The bathroom could be a little bit bigger but I am being picky. All the reception staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. We would be delighted to return.

A little more cooked food at breakfast.

Wonderful location - couldn’t be better! Lovely room with amazing views and sound of the bells nearby. The staff left a bottle of wine in our room as we were celebrating our honeymoon which was lovely.

We’d booked a meal on the terrace before arrival for a special honeymoon treat. When we arrived the staff told us that the terrace wasn’t available for food due to ‘technical problems’ so they amended our booking for the following night to drinks on the terrace and food in the main restaurant. When we arrived for drinks at the time of our booking, we were told that the terrace was closed due to bad weather the night before. We completely understand this but it was very disappointing that the staff hadn’t called us/our room or left a note so we could plan accordingly.

Great breakfasts and breakfast team, fabulous roof terrace bar, reception staff were superb, especialy Sara. Central location could not have been better. Welcoming bottle of wine appreciated.

The staff are outstanding! Super helpful. Particularly Marta. Their English is excellent and they are observant in anticipating what you might need. Couldn’t rate the service more highly.

Reception service, especially night shift lack of welcome - way below 5 star hotel. Shabby chic hotel charm is not there any more. Not it is just shabby. Hotel is not what it used to be, but still offers occasional sparks of amazing experience....

pillows! they were so uncomfortable and once changed it was fine to sleep - there is a courtyard area with 2 sun loungers and a few chairs which was very uncared for and uninviting if you wanted to sit out in the sun but its the only place to sit, also the dining roof terrace could be made a little more interesting than it is
