Staff is extraordinarily friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Attentive to every need. Very hard working. Loved ambiance though in a few public places was a bit too much. Loved the special touches, and parrots Romeo and Juliet. If want to be right in center of everything, no better place! Proximity to numerous Michelin started restaurants and many sidewalk cafes.

I mentioned to front desk as lovely and special as it is to be offered many extra bathroom amenities, in age of climate change it can and should be cut back. They also changed our sheets daily for a two night stay snd again as lovely and thoughtful as it was we advised it is unnecessary.

This is a beautiful hotel filled with old-world charm. The rooms are very pretty and the beds are comfortable. The staff could not be kinder and helped us with dinner reservations and even a last-minute blow-dry appointment. The breakfast in the morning was spectacular, with delicious homemade made quiches, cakes, fresh fruit and eggs made to order. The cappuccino was the best I have ever tasted. I cannot say enough good things about the hotel and the lovely people who work in it. We had an absolutely delightful time.

Pulling up to the adorned and lush facade at Gabbia D'Oro was a scene from a Fellini film. My wife Ashley and I were beginning the first stop of a long honeymoon ahead across Europe. And we wanted this special trip to unfold like a fairy tale. The friendly, well-dressed staff awaited our arrival and welcomed us by name, the warmth and hospitality of Italy! The old world lobby and lounge led into rich studies, cozy enclaves and a stunning garden where we could get lost in conversation, a cappuccino and a good book. The antique furniture, attention to detail, fabulous space and attentive staff were so comforting. The room was lavish, with gilded mirrors, faded murals, a vast marble bathroom and some of the most exquisite bedding, linens and tapestries we've ever seen. Our stay at Gabbia D'oro was simply enchanting, an unforgettable experience we will always treasure right in the heart of old town Verona, mere steps out the front door to elegant shops, charming cafes and opulent trattorias around every corner.

You can't improve perfection.

Great location and a beautifully maintained property in the centre of Verona. Wonderful and charming staff who couldn’t do more for you - nothing was too much trouble! Excellent breakfast with an extensive selection of dishes. Our junior suite was large and very comfortable. Delightful, interesting and ‘quirky’ public rooms.

Absolutely nothing (although if you arrive by car you need your wits about you to negotiate the narrow streets!).

The hotel was nicely located just round the corner from the main square. despite the crowds, sound insulation was great. In any case, the nights are quiet. the rooms are very well refurbished in keeping with the theme of the hotel ( older building) and the bed was wonderful. The breakfast was marvellous. It could be seen that care had been put into the items with thoughty. Loved the 2 birds in the Orangerie!

absolutely perfect. we were in Verona for the opera. location is excellent. the hotel is very comfortable with lovely rooms. staff are both discreet and attentive. our room was very comfortable. very clean and replenished several times a day. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Gabbia D’Oro

Location, breakfast and support and professionalism of the entire staff. The staff was always helping to make our stay pleasant.

The room was a little dark .

The staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. Over our three day stay, the very friendly staff went above and beyond the call of duty to assist my wife and me. We’d return in a heartbeat.

The location could not be better.

Lovely hotel with bags of character - a genuinely characterful and unique property in Verona, surely the most authentic, romantic and intriguing property available at this level of quality. A true boutique. We had a glorious couple of nights here on our honeymoon. The service was exceptional and we were upgraded with a beautiful cake in our room on arrival.

The location can not be better - perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful and pillows were just right.

No evening meal- we stayed in February so not sure if this is usual
