We had a wonderful time in Verona and the hotel was superb, the location could not have been better. The beds were very comfy. The staff was excellent, very welcoming and helpful! The parking at the hotel was very handy to keep our rental car overnight.

The bathtub and a shower need upgrading to meet todays expectations from a superb hotel. The bathroom itself was very good and roomy, but the bathtub was narrow and the position of the shower on the wall was very awkward.

The hotel is ideally located to reach all local restaurants and sites and 20 mins or so from the airport. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. We had a room with a balcony at the front of the hotel - even though outside was vibrant, once the windows were shut it was relaxingly silent.

There was nothing not to like

The staff was very friendly, professional, helpful and proactive. The atmosphere was relaxed. The room was clean and comfortable. At breakfast I had the opportunity to chose among different products inspire being lactose intolerant.

The Hotel Colombo d'Oro is very centrally located in downtown Verona and is therefore ideal for visiting the historic old town. The availability of a guest parking space is a big plus. The staff, especially at the front desk is pleasantly friendly and approachable, the breakfast is good. My room was absolutely clean.

It was quite warm during my stay and I tried to lower the room temperature for a comfortable night's sleep, but I couldn't. Not sure the air condition was working? The price for a single bed room outside the peak season was on the upper end... but well.... the location... ;-)

The building was beautiful, I love that it was tucked away in a quite area but literally a streets walks to the area and main shopping strip! Brilliant hotel, old style authentic Italian features, beautiful room, court yard was stunning, staff were friendly and so helpful! Even after we checked out they looked after our luggage and continued the hospitality they did from the start right up until they booked us a taxi at around 6pm when we were due to fly home! I would 100% recommend this hotel! It’s beautiful, perfect location and I will definitely stay here again if I am visiting Verona!

There was nothing I didn’t like, very happy with my stay!

Check-in was perfect. Elizabetta was so helpful and welcoming. She plotted out our day of site seeing on a map while the bellman took our luggage to the room, which was ready several hours ahead of schedule. We used their helpful garage which was absolutely necessary in Verona. Our hotel, which I picked for its location, was literally a stone's throw from the Arena and other major sites, shopping and excellent dining options. The hotel was quiet, being just behind the main plaza. The decor was lovely old classical Verona design. The room was spacious and very well appointed; comfortable, beautiful, having a large bathroom with bathtub as I had requested. The breakfast room was elegant and the staff service there was impeccable and friendly.

- Excellent location. - The building is really nice. Lovely decor. Really liked my room. Really pretty interiors and a wonderful view over the garden. - The breakfast was delicious. - Towels and a hairdryer were provided.

- The duvet was really thin and only two thin pillows were provided. More pillows would’ve been appreciated. It was a bit uncomfortable sleeping at night. - The bathroom didn’t have nice complimentary equipment. For instance the box that said “shower cap” didn’t have a shower cap. Also these amenities (E.g. shower gel) weren’t replaced each morning which was disappointing. - I would’ve appreciated tea/coffee making facility in the room as most hotels do. Found it strange that such a pricey establishment like this didn’t have any in the room. Instead there was a minibar that had charges for tiny bottles of lemonade and coke, which seemed like a rip off.

Location couldn't be better. Staff were excellent, including room service which was faultless. Room was well decorated and maintained. We would definitely stay here again.

Room had no coffee or tea maker, which was disappointing. The TV had only one English speaking channel, which was BBC news. This was below expectation. Breakfast was fine, although tea and coffee were consistently tepid rather than hot.

This hotel is in the best location, one little alleyway from the busy Piazza Bra and Arena but so close to all the central historic and cultural places to visit. If you are visiting art museums and churches it is perfect, Castelvecchio museum is only 5 minutes walk away. The evening reception staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming, and all the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is good, for those with dietary restrictions there are plenty of options other than eggs and meat, and their freshly-pressed orange juice is exceptional. It was a great choice, would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is great overall, the room was excellent with good lighting, easy-to-use safe and well-equipped bathroom, but the mattress was hard.

Nice receptionists, beautiful decor, big bathroom and it's facilities and lots of towels, long balcony, room, separated into 2 rooms like a suit with big mirrors everywhere. Good lighting in the room. Location is very central.

- aircon is being turned off by a hotel for several hours in the morning and night. I was there in winter and get cold really fast, so it was cold for me at night. I assume its the same for summer, might get really hot. They should let guests control it. - the mattress and pillows were hard, so if you have any physical conditions that may be affected by that, its not a good option for you - the key isn't the card key, its a big metal thing attached to a real key with the name of a hotel and your room number so if it gets into wrong hands, they will know exactly where to go. Plus it takes a lot of space and may not fit into all pockets. Def need a purse for that.
