A well-priced bed and breakfast in an ideal location. Vincenzo is a wonderful host and helps with finding taxis, providing an overview of the area, and more. He communicates quickly and was a great help. The rooms and bathroom are clean and quite well-equipped. Do note that the location (Moiano) is on a mountaintop. Positano is a two-hour hike away (and can be strenuous, at least during the summer), though the hike provides stellar views of the Amalfi Coast. It takes around forty-five minutes by bus to get to Vico Equense (where you can find regular trains to Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Naples). If you are fit and would like to walk during your trip to the Sorrentine Peninsula, this is an excellent option.

The room was very spacious with a balcony. The location of the hotel is very good for hikers, offering a spectacular view of the coast and Positano with a small 20 minute walk (alternatively, the owner can send you up). Additionally, there was free water, seltzer water, soft drinks, and a coffee machine with a variety of coffee pods. The service was fantastic — we had fantastic breakfasts, and the owner was very friendly. The owner helped drive us to restaurants and the train station, and also offered to bring us to several other places. The owner also provided some great recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area, as he is a long-time local.

We were made to feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble for Vincenzo. The apartment was comfortable, very clean and we appreciated all the extras that were supplied including milk for our much needed cup of tea after our journey 🙂 plus the delicious breakfast provided each morning.

We had researched the location but guests without their own transportation should be aware that it is located outside the town centre and although the road is well lit at night there is no pavement.

Vincenzo was the best host my family and I have ever experienced. He made sure our stay was absolutely perfect from the very start. He drove us back and forth from the town's train station several times throughout our visit. Helped us get in contact with local restaurants when our phones were not working. His wonderful wife also makes the best breakfast. Our room was also exceptionally clean and stored with everything we needed. The best stay we have ever had! We cannot wait to revisit!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

The room is really big, light and very clean with everything you need. Things are new, bright and in very good working condition. The room and kitchen are mountain view with antimosquitoes windows, which we could open day and night to have the fresh air. So even during the hotest summer months in Southern Italy we didn’t have to use the aircon. We’ve have coolest day of our holiday in this house and with the owner’s help we’ve have a wonderful sunset evening at the top of Monte Faito. The guest service of the owner is really amazing! He’s very kind, friendly, knowledgeable and takes exceptional good care of us, understands our needs, our interest and was a wonderful tour guide, pro car driver. He’s the best owner-friend we’ve ever have since we traveled.

A lovely host, helpful and communicating. Very good breakfasts. Apartment was very well equipped, spacious and clean. We found a lovely surprise in our kitchen, all ingredients for a traditional Italian dinner and a bottle of wine.

Only one thing that bothered us was a noise front the road

After four days of hiking, the 40 Steps B&B was like paradise. The owner was so friendly and helped us with any questions we had. The town closeby is not special, but if you are there to enjoy nature, it is the best place to stay 🙂

Our host was amazing and so accommodating ! He couldn’t have done more for us. The breakfast supplied every morning was lovely.

Firstly, a big compliment to our host, he was one of the best hosts with great hospitality we've experienced. The breakfast was very good, compliments to Vincenzo and his wife for the awesome breakfast in the mornings. The location was quiet and peaceful, not very far from the neighboring towns. The accommodation itself was very clean and comfortable, neatly organized and we had everything we needed during our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend this place for the location, breakfast, cleanliness, and not to mention, an awesome host.

Thanks to our host Vincenzo we have had the best stay in Italy ever. He drove us from and to the train station, showed us everything what is worth to see, printed useful timetables and schedules and of course he was always reachable. When we had a problem with anything he lent us a helping hand. When it comes to our apartment, it had everything what a 5 star hotel has. Great comfortable bed, an equipped fridge, clean bathroom and of course delicious self made breakfast. Vincenzo is definitely someone who love his job and I recommend this place for everybody who want to visit southern Italy.

There is nothing negative what comes into my mind, when I think about this Wonderfull place in Moiano. Vincenzo does an incredible job preparing his place for tourists. He is a professional guy with great English what is useful in that part of Italy.
