This was an excellent stay! Great location! Great host! The host made our stay hassle free, called restaurants for us, gave us recommendations, let us know who to call for luggage transfer, we could message him at any time and he responded within 5 mins. We probably messaged him too much for things we could have figured out on our own. He carried our bags up to the room. Top notch!

Nothing we didn't like, actually one thing we didn't like, we didn't like that we had to leave.

Amazing rooms with a breathtaking view. The hosts were incredible and helped take all 7 of our pieces of luggage up the 100+ steps up to the room. The room itself if generously stocked with complimentary food and drinks, including a limoncello. Good location, easily walkable to the main beach in Positano and also right next to a main taxi stand.

The showers are unconventional and located about 10 feet from the bed with no doors or curtains. When you shower, it leaves the corner of the room wet. Slightly unpleasant in an otherwise fantastic room.

The view, the service, the stay - this apartment is excellent! We have two teen girls who are both NOT short, and their stay on the pullout bed (which was nicely made into a bed when we arrived since they knew we were going to use it) was extremely comfortable. The patio was very enjoyable - we played cards and enjoyed the gorgeous view of Positano every night. They had stocked the fridge with food, and the free breakfast at a local restaurant was lovely - capaccino and Nutella/berry/pistachio croissants every morning was SUCH a fun way to start our day (the pistachio was esp delish!)! There are a lot of stairs to get to the place - but that's pretty true of everywhere in Positano - and a great way to work off the croissants!

This was a fantastic apartment. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Surprisingly, the apartment was better than I thought it would be. I’m not sure why, but from the photos I got the feeling the hosts were taking pictures of the “best angles”. When we got there, I realised the apartment was bigger in real life which was awesome. The hosts also provided a few lovely touches - beer in the fridge, limoncello in the freezer, booking a restaurant reservation for us the first night, lots of little snacks. Also, there were many tea towels! Having travelled a lot, you normally get the one tea towel which is wet after a few hours, but the hosts provided plenty. Again, thoughtful touches which just made our stay better. The shared balcony with next door was not a big deal. In fact it was nice to have a chat to other travellers (and for us with kids, we appreciated the adult company). The beds were really comfortable, the location excellent (however the 171 steps from the road were a tad annoying but hey, this is Positano) and checking in etc was easy. I recommend this apartment.

My only gripe is about the town not the apartment. Positano is a strange place. Beautiful but not young kid friendly as other places on the Amalfi Coast. I think if we went back as a family, we would stay in Atrani (a very easy walk to Amalfi). But for older kids/couples etc, Positano is a truly special place and the apartment we stayed in exceeded expectations.

well, where do i start. the room was wonderful, all what you expect from a 5 star hotel. its newly renovated, clean, smart. the hosts Mr. Valerio and Mrs. Tamara were very generous and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. and not to mention the view from the balcony is breathtaking. We really enjoyed our stay and the hosts really made us feel comfortable.

well you will read alot of comments regarding the stairs. in general Positano is kind of a vertical city on the mountains. and there is one small walkway to the beach and most the time you will general’s spend time around that area. once you get down the steps, and it was much better than i expected from the comments. its 5 mins walking distance and while i explored the city. i think the property is better than 95% of the other places considered how it renovated and beautiful. and the other places where u can stay close to the beach you will miss out on the view. you will get used to the steps eventually and it is worth it.

Absolutely everything about our stay at Positamy was perfect. location is great, hosts Tamara and Valerio were amazing and their service second to none. Upon arrival we were greeted and shown to the property (with around 150 steps), however the hosts were more than happy to take the luggage up to the room for us! when we checked out, they had a luggage porter for us as well, taking away any stress with the heavy luggage and steps of Positano. I recommend Positamy without hesitation to anyone considering staying. Grazie mille to Tamara, Valerio and their family. Alla Prossima!

Beautifully done. all the amenities needed. Great location and views. impeccably clean and well kept. All sorts of added extras from treats in the suite to coffee and croissants at a lovely restaurant in town. The host was amazing! I put the wrong phone number down but he tried to get me all day, waited at the unit for a long time and then met us to show us the suite when we finally arrived. He made every effort to make our stay special.

Expensive parkade nearby. I wouldn’t rent a car again to get there. Avoid the Mandara parkade ( unfortunately the closest one) as we felt completely overcharged just because we had a mini van.

Everything about positamy was exceptional - I could have expected such an exceptional level of service and care and service from the staff - it exceeded every expectation. We particularly loved that this was a family run and operated bed and breakfast. Everything about it was done with pride and care. The location was exceptional, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the views from our room were simply breathtaking. It was worth every cent and I would not hesitate to stay there again and again and again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Positamy in Positano. Tamara and her husband were the best hosts and made sure we felt comfortable and went above and beyond to provide five star service. I’ve stayed at the Ritz Carlton and Four Season resorts around the world and the level of customer service and personal touches that Positamy provides is on that level! They helped us with our luggage while checking in and when we checked out the bed and breakfast. They recognized our anniversary by providing champagne and a rose petal display upon our arrival. Our room was stocked with everything we needed to make a light continental breakfast in the morning or utensils needed to cook for ourselves at night. The views from Positamy are amazing! Breathtaking! The decor in the Marty Suite is perfectly designed and what you dream of when taking an Italian vacation on the Amalfi coast in the village of Positano. I’m a neat freak and I value cleanliness. The room was so clean that I felt comfortable walking around without my socks on. I would definitely recommend this property when staying in Positano! You’ll thank me later that you chose this amazing B & B with 5 star level service and breathtaking views.

If you are staying in Positano we really recommend Positamy! It's family owned and they are SO helpful, they couldn't do enough for us from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with a lovely welcome for our honeymoon and each day the fridge had a new treat inside - local wine, limoncello, fruit etc. In advance they send you access to the most informative portal which really tells you everything you need to know about the local area - restaurants, transport, sights etc. While we were there the hosts also checked in to ask if we needed recommendations or help with restaurant reservations which was helpful when Positano can be so busy. The room was cleaned every day which was brilliant and the location is so close to the centre. Overall I would return to Positamy! Thank you so much Valerio, Tamara and Martina!

We booked the smaller of the two suites which does not have a kitchen (but it does have a fridge), so as long as you are aware of that then it's not a problem. The shower in the smaller suite is actually open in the bedroom - a novelty but did require getting the mop out a few times to dry the floor, I would book the larger apartment next time.
