The hotel was very close to everywhere we wanted to go. Situated right in the centre, we were able to walk only a few minutes to all the nice restaurants and the beach. Most importantly, I cannot say enough about the incredible staff and exceptional service that made our experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the front desk staff offering helpful information about the hotel's amenities and local attractions. One of the standout moments was when we returned to our room on my mum’s birthday to find a bottle of very nice prosecco and a handwritten note from the hotel team. It was a thoughtful gesture that truly made mine and my mum's day. The hotel concierge was incredibly knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. They even called ahead to make bookings for restaurants with the best table! Overall, the exceptional staff at Hotel Bougainville made our stay truly memorable. Their genuine friendliness, attention to detail, and dedication to customer satisfaction set this hotel apart. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience with a personal touch. I can't wait to return and experience their outstanding hospitality again. Everything was good!

The location was perfect for exploring Positano. The staff were awesome making great recommendations and making us feel special. The rooms were very clean, the shower was fabulous and the bed was comfortable.

Nothing to dislike

The location was superb! It was right at the heart of the action in Positano… we only had to take a few steps to get into the heart of the action! The rooms were very clean and the staff were very attentive and kind! We had an early flight out of town, so had to depart at the hotel very early in the morning. The staff actually put together a “to go bag” for us for breakfast! They also made cappuccinos and fresh coffee for us and put it into the cups as well! I sincerely don’t know if we’ve ever had that great of service before! The rooms for a bit small – but nonetheless I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The location was wonderful. 5 minute walk to the beach and truly in the heart of everything. Walking left or right out of the hotel could lead you to some of the most popular Positano attractions. Staff was amazing, they were so friendly and set up taxis to/from train stations for easy transportation. They also helped us book a private sunset boat tour which was one of the highlights of our trip.

Rooms are much smaller than they appear online. With two suitcases and two personal items it was so difficult to open our bags and move around the room. My boyfriend and I were ontop of each other if one of us wasn’t in the bed. The bathroom was also extremely tight with very limited counter space. We made it work but for almost $400 a night be expected a bit bigger / nicer rooms. I guess that’s what you get in Positano since everything is expensive.

The hotel is in a great location you can walk to almost anywhere and there are a lot of great restaurants and shops in the area. The staff was great Imma met us w open arms and warm welcome. We were early and they held our bags as we walked around and grabbed some lunch. They even had great suggestions on Resturants and excursions which we booked through them. Highly recommend this place.

I really can’t think of a reason not to like it. Breakfast was included and they had everything we needed. If anything the price was more than I wanted to pay but still was cheaper than most places in Positano

We liked that it wasn’t far from the town square. So not as many steps to climb.

The bed was very uncomfortable. Too hard it was like sleeping on the floor.

The location is excellent and in the heart of Positano - close to the beach, close to the shops, and an easy walk to some of the best restaurants. The staff are amazing - so sweet and friendly, and go above and beyond to make your stay worthwhile. They were so helpful to us for booking airport transportation, excursions and more. The breakfast is also such a sweet touch in the morning and allowed us to start our days with ease. The rooms are small but you are really just there to sleep, and it is expected for Europe. You can't beat the price and the location and all the help offered to us - thank you for a lovely stay!

Bougainville offered up the most professional and helpful staff we had encountered on our recent trip (as well as the second best breakfast). We were here at the end of the tourism season and some locals were a little worn out but not here. The room was small (expected) but well appointed and even had some nice extras like flip flops. We also had a small balcony which was very nice. The location was great as a start point for exploring Positano, accessing the ferries, and even catching a bus to the start of the Pathway Of The Gods hiking trail.

Nothing to do with the hotel but if you're thinking of Positano, you need to know that it is expensive and in the peak summer months, it can get very crowded given the small streets and laneways.

Very Clean, great location--easy to walk everywhere. We had a room with a balcony, it was fabulous to sit out there and enjoy the sunset. The staff very attentive and helpful. Delicious breakfast in the morning with lots of options and coffee/ cappucino made to order. We really enjoyed our stay.

Really our stay was so fabulous and I would return in an instant. But if I wanted to be very picky the sheets were rougher than I'm used to. But This would not deter me from returning because everything else was just wonderful and we were very happy with our stay.

Everything about our stay was exceptional! The hospitality of the staff deserves the highest of accolades! They booked our taxis to and from the airport, recommended and booked the best cooking class for us and helped us to secure a dinner reservation at a highly sought after restaurant. Our room was spacious, very clean and had a beautiful view of the cliffs and water. Each morning we enjoyed complimentary breakfast on the balcony. The location is a short walk from the beach and shopping. To top off the incredible hospitality, they prepared us breakfast to go as we had a very early flight to catch. This hotel provided us with the best service we have experienced. We look forward to returning! I cannot recommend Hotel Bougainville enough- I will suggest this hotel to all of my friends and family who visit Positano.

Everything was outstanding. There is nothing we did not like about this hotel and the staff.
