Wonderful, welcoming hotel in a stunning location. Although there are many rooms everything felt very personal and our hosts always had time for us, always had a smile and were extremely helpful. The hotel is right in the centre so all the sites are just a few minutes walk away. The roof top garden and cafe were a welcome bonus. There was a great choice of good quality food for breakfast. I loved and used the gift of a travel diary with information about Volterra, and would recommend getting the Volterra card as the museums were excellent. We would highly recommend this lovely place and hope to return.

Albergo Etruria was the perfect stay for our trip. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived and we felt immediately welcome. Everyone is friendly and kind. The rooms were themed and we stayed in the rose room. Our favorite thing was the window onto the road where we could people watch all the activities happening at the cafe and shops. We loved the peaceful and relaxing rooftop too! There is air conditioning and a working shower with fantastic water pressure. We also enjoyed the breakfast!

The location of Albeego Eturia is perfect- super central- you step out of the front door and onto one of Volterra's main streets (which is mostly pedestrians only). You're seconds away from a fab patisserie and excellent restaurants and all Volterra's sights are easily walkable. The room was very clean and large and the breakfast choice vast and delicious! Perhaps most importantly, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They also kindly allowed us to leave our bags with them after checkout so we could explore without carrying them.

We liked everything. Other travellers might want to know that the bathroom in our room (36) was very petite- it didnt bother us and it was extremely clean and nicely appointed but if you're a big person you might struggle with the shower in this room. This is the nature of old buildings though! We were very happy so this is not a negative, just an observation.

The staff were very helpful and friendly working hard to make our stay enjoyable. The rooftop garden and cafe were delightful as was the artwork and decor of the hotel. Breakfast was exceptional with homemade cakes and preserves plus a selection of savoury and sweet food. The location, in the heart of Volterra, is perfect for exploring this wonderful city.

Our budget room had hardly any natural light, just a small window looking across a small space to another window within the hotel.

Excellent central location within walking distance of all sights in Volterra.It is on a street with lots of restaurants and ice cream cafes .It is in an old historic building ,without a lift but staff help with luggage .There is a comfortable rooftop bar and terrace.Breakfast has loads of choices and was plentiful.Our room was large and comfortable,bathroom small but had everything we needed and a very good shower

Amazing Volterra town location but the highlight was the Moretti family, who are amazing. They are some of the best hosts we have encountered in our travels. Welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The owner really surprised us with offering unexpected and very welcome special help that we needed with our luggage. Thoroughly nice people. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. The decor throughout was beautifully done. The room was excellent A wonderful two nights - wish it could have been more.

We loved Volterra, and this hotel is so central and yet manages to be quiet, relaxing, and well equipped. A beautiful historic building with a lovely surprise on the roof - a fantastic bar and cafe with great views. The owners were so kind and helpful, we felt so welcomed, and they sent us really helpful information in advance, including directions (very important) and how to find the free parking. The bedroom, bathroom, and hotel facilities were perfect, but above all this hotel is in the perfect place - right in the heart of this brilliant city.

Driving in the narrow, historic streets of Volterra is a bit of a challenge, but the information we were sent in advance helped us make it to the hotel fairly easily, even when we lost sat nav reception.

Everything with the Albergo Etruria was perfect. Walk out the front door of the hotel and we were in the center of the historical town which is why we came to Volterra in the first place. Close to the piazza, close to restraunts, close gelato, close to the sites. Go up to the cafe on their roof garden and unwind and watch and listen to the bells of the churches while you relax and have a drink and/or a proscuto and cheese board. On the roof garden you can walk up the outdoor steps and you are on a walking trail that leads through the park. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and unique. Just look where you are. The breakfast buffet has more selections than you can possibly try, and everything we tried was simply wonderful. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. And, you can tell they want you to enjoy your stay by the small details and touches that they have included throughout. I was a little concerned about uploading luggage and parking, but after having done it, I should not have been concerned at all. A little effort, but again look where you are! My wife and I spent three nights at the Albergo Etruria and when we go back to Volterra we will stay there again. Why go anywhere else? The Albergo Etruria has the look and feel of what we like to experience when we travel. In short, we had a magical stay.

There is nothing we didn't like. It is a hotel in the center of an old historical town. The uniqueness and location is what we expect and like.

The design was beautiful, it was clear that every detail had been thought out in order to give guests maximum comfort. The staff was friendly, informative and attentive - they even made sure to have a vegan croissant for breakfast to suit my dietary restrictions. Breakfast was definitely the best we experienced in tuscany- in terms of variety, taste and aesthetic. Location was perfect. All in all one of our best stays in tuscany!

Excellent location....short walk up stairs to the accommodation; excellent communication and help before and during stay from all the staff. Wonderful staff....owner, front desk people, breakfast ladies, roof-top bar people! Terrific breakfast. Good size room. Bed and shower very good. Would definitely recommend.
