The hotel is a lovely traditional villa, furnished in local tuscan style. It is set in gardens with great views over the hills. Rooms were simply furnished in keeping with the villa style and were comfortable and clean. Breakfast is simple but tasty and is a self-service arrangement. There is limited on-site parking, which was a bit of a challenge as the villa was full last week due to Bocelli concert nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the location and views were lovely, it is a fair walk uphill to the walls of Volterra, which we avoided as it was too hot. We took the car up, but be aware that finding parking space can be a challenge, and car access to walled town is restricted.

This was a very comfortable room in a good location, an easy walk up to the old town. We ended up having to drive through the old town as the road around was closed for repairs (not fun, but worth it when we drove into the villa carpark). A gorgeous villa, set over 3 levels, we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves as there was no one else staying there for those nights. Very comfortable room, well equipped and functional bathroom. Shutters and curtains blocked out any light which made for a great sleep. No kettle in the room but you can make tea or coffee downstairs in the kitchen at any time.

The breakfast which is advertised as plant based included too many cakes and sweet things for our taste. Also I think the milk used in the coffee machine was soy perhaps which is not to our liking. We just bought milk from a nearby supermarket and used that instead.

A beautiful old villa below the walls of the city, recently renovated into a nice small hotel. Grand old rooms with high ceilings, wrought iron fixtures, indoor or outdoor breakfast. (All vegan, including fine pastries.) A short steep walk up stairs and paths to the “Porta all’Arco” gate to the city. Trees and singing birds all around the villa and all along the path up to the city wall gate. And Volterra is wonderful - fascinating Etruscan history, and not as crowded with tourists as Florence or San Gimigniano. And you can easily see all of Volterra on foot. We wished we had booked more time here.

It was hard to find. Our GPS led us first to a dead end in an apartment complex below the villa. But when I phoned my contact at the villa for help, she explained pretty clearly how to find it. Hope they can post a somewhat bigger and brighter sign - you have to find their driveway directly off a fairly main road. But overall it was our favorite hotel out of three nice places in Tuscany.

The place is amazing, and recently renewed. The staff is very kind and attentive. The location is unbeatable, 2 minutes from the walls of Volterra and one of the most amazing entrances.

Beautiful old Villa with a lot of style. Very nicely renovated, so it has all comforts and all feels fresh The location in walking distance to the old town is superb and that it has parking spaces is very conventient. But parking space is limited, so it is not guaranteed that you get one. The street might be a bit noisy, but it didn’t disturb us. As for Corona, breakfast is served in a local bar in town. We enjoyed very much to sit on the main piazza in the sun for breakfast. No problem.

Parking spot at the hotel and near the city. Good location to visit Volterra. Friendly host at the check-in. Breakfast was served in one of the bars in town instead of at the location. We had a great view over the Tuscan landscape from that bar!

The electricity in the room seemed a bit off. When turning on the AC or plugging in our phones, the lights went off and on for a second. I didn't trust charging my phone or battery's or leaving the AC on while sleeping. The room was a bit old fashioned room but did just fine.

The house is beautiful and the room was super clean. The A/C was amazing as it was really hot outside during our stay.

Breakfast: we had our breakfast at bar priori. We waited more than 1 hour to get served and we didn’t quite understand how to use the coupon given. Terrace: The terrace shown in the picture is not the same. We booked this hotel for the terrace and we were quite disappointed.

Onsite parking, comfortable beds, great airflow in the rooms, breakfast voucher for a cafe in town (free coffee + pastry), good wifi.

Nothing, everything was great.
