Best Western Plus Bradenton Gateway Hotel

I liked that nothing was far. Everything you need , was close by, restaurants, gas stations, Wal-Mart and especially the beach. It took us like 15 minutes to get to the beach..

I booked a King Room and when i got to the hotel, the gave me a room with 2 beds. I went to the front desk and they said they couldn't change it because they were booked.. Mind you I booked in the beginning of April.. Very disappointed, I wanted what I booked for..

clean rooms close to everything we needed

Some of the property staff in evening needs customer service training. We arrived late and we’re waiting for other family to arrive so brought some of our dinner to eat but was instructed no one was allowed in breakfast area and that we needed to take up to our rooms which we were still waiting on. We were then told only this time we could eat in the building and he was basically doing us a service. The way you talk to people is EVERYTHING. That would be our only criticism which I know it’s hard to find staff but I think he was in a leadership role.

Jackie brews Good Coffee and made up a Terrific selection for breakfast. Jeremy was a very patient, kind, and adept maintenance person with a fascinating knowledge of the history of the hotels' neighborhood. Oscar was very welcoming and encouraged our explorations of the area. Lorena was a thoughtful and attentive housekeeper. Lots of hot water, good shower pressure. Shampoo and Conditioner smelled and worked good. Beds very comfortable. Bathroom very clean. The location made it easy to explore places from down town Bradenton, to beaches, to botanical gardens and restaurants which kept us busy for 7 days - with no repeats! Lots of lighting in the parking area.

Lacking TV channel information. Would be nice to have a Window that opened, even slightly would be awesome (to get rid of stale air) The 'air freshner scent ' in the room was overwhelming - glad we could unplug it while staying there. Would be nice if TV in lobby played something other than just FOX news. Pool was not heated..,

Nice big rooms with large windows, comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. Mike at the front desk was unbelievably helpful, professional and upbeat. He helped me with card keys and switching rooms with a courteous, friendly - no problem attitude . Mike is an asset to Best Western Gateway!

Adjoining room had a little dog who barked often, all night. Mike helped me switch rooms and saved my trip!

Very clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and rooms. Due to COVID-19 the breakfast wasn't fully available so we ate out at a nearby restaurant, but in normal times the breakfast looks great. Coffee bar. Easy parking. Close to restaurants and drug stores. Easy to get to Highway 41 for north/south travel.

Internet was a little spotty. One day we needed to find a FedEx Office for better Internet. The next day the hotel's Internet was better.

It was 2 minutes from our home and I needed someplace to go with our 2 dogs not knowing if we were gonna get hit with another Hurricane because my husband was in New York at that time and wasn't there to board up our windows and they were great!! Got me and dogs in last minute and bottom floor! Was perfect!!!!! Totally recommend! They also had a breakfast buffet but never had the chance to try it.

Stayed during hurricane Idalia as a shelter. Staff were pleasant, accommodating and professional. . That kind of professionalism is extraordinary during an event that effects their guests as well as themselves, their family and homes. Many kudos for keeping a bright light on during dark times. Thank you.

Location is perfect minutes to the beach, minutes to shopping. Spotless hotel and staff is very friendly. Cleaning staff are great and always a fresh room each day. Honestly this is a great place to stay.

Laundry was not working which was really inconvenient. I spent $8.00 and it was soaked I had take all my clothes to a laundromat and spend more money and waste vacation time sitting in a crowded laundromat. This was the one and only terrible thing about the hotel. You need to add more machines, updated professional machines.

Didn’t like the breakfast - too limited. Rooms clean and no smells in the facility. Room cleaners excellent. Staff friendly.

No exhaust in bathroom. Tv control not fully functional. Breakfast skimpy.

The breakfast was what I expected for a hotel breakfast and was good. There were lots of varieties of cereal and other breakfast foods.

I didn't like the price. I realize that prices in this area are high at this time of year, but $407.00 for a room just seemed unreasonable. I only paid it because I booked 5 days previous to trip. Had I planned, I would not have stayed there.
