Comfort Inn & Suites

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights so we could explore Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. The hotel is very close to Fishermen's Village which we really enjoyed. The hotel is exceptionally clean and organized. The room was nicely appointed and roomy, and the bed was very comfortable. Julie at the front desk was terrific. Personable and pleasantly professional, with a great smile and sense of humor. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices and great coffee. Everyone on the hotel staff was happy and in good spirits all the time. I used the gym one morning, and that was another positive. The pool is well kept and clean as well. The outside grounds were also well cared for and in great shape. We will definitely stay here again!

There was plenty of parking available when we arrived, and there were luggage carts available. Check in was very straightforward and all staff we came into contact with were polite and courteous. The room was spacious with very comfortable bed linen and pillows. We liked that there were bedside tables on both sides of the bed (as sometimes there's only one on one side) The bathroom was well stocked with good quality toiletries. Everywhere in the room and hotel communal spaces were cleaned to a very high standard. There were hot and cold choices for breakfast, as well as the usual coffee and juices. The breakfast items were constantly being monitored and restocked when required. There wasn't an on-site restaurant, but there were fast-food options a short walk away, as well as restaurants, including a Cracker Barrel next door. We would stay here again.

No issues and nothing we didn't like.

This is the second time I am staying at this place. I Like it a lot!! The room was clean. The bathroom is huge and the beds were very comfortable. Now they are remodeling while they are open so there is the smell of fresh paint in the air. They are very dog friendly, lots of fur-babies to say hi to and pet. Great location, Waffle house for those late night snacks, two gas stations close by and a Cracker Barrel for that home country cooking. Breakfast was great, eggs, toast, sausage and even blueberry waffles!!! Barbara, the server was awesome. Kept everything coming and always hot.

if you can't stand the smell of fresh paint, then this is not the place for you at the moment. They are almost done with all the rooms. In my opinion there was nothing I didn't like about the place.

Breakfast during the week is form 6-9 weekend 7-10 and I didn't make it down to go to it. You only get your room cleaned if you ask - this has been since Covid (I've stayed here before). Having said that it's not big deal to me because it is just me and I just asked for things to be replenished like coffee (remember to ask for the sugar/creamer packet - I forgot ) shampoo, towels, and don't forget to ask for the bags for your trash cans. So this might put people off but I was staying an extended stay visiting my daughter and son-in-law and we like using the pool during my stay and the outdoor Jacuzzi. The price was right and I would stay again for what I need when I'm in that area

The attention to detail. The overhead light in the entrance to the room didn't work. No biggie but would have helped when you are entering. Also not having daily housekeeping perhaps they could put extra items in rooms that have been reserved for extended stays so you don't have to look for housekeeping and remember what you need. Extra soap, coffee - sugar creamer packets. Extra towels would have been helpful

I loved the soft pillows. Sheets smell clean and bed was properly made, first impression matter to me and a clean room is essential, I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was basic but good, the parking lot was well lit, and all these are important for a mature woman traveling alone.

First day in, I was stung by a flying ant in the room, strange but it happened. In the exercise room, the scale did not work. The visitors across the hallway were pretty noisy. For someone who is not familiar with the town, I found it a little confusing to leave and return to the hotel, it was a bit hidden. Let's just say that I got to know many streets along Port Charlotte.

The breakfast was great. Waffles, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, milk, juice, coffee, tea, pastries, oatmeal, grits, hard boiled eggs. Nice spa and pool with hardly a soul in sight. Nice business center. Little store. 2.00 load of laundry. Pretty clean room. Pretty quiet hotel. Nicely decorated halls.

Perhaps because of a sanitizer they use now, but all the furniture was sticky. Coins stuck to the desk. Newspaper sticks to the nightstand. The elevator was not going down from pressing the button on the third floor. Taking my luggage at check out I had to go down to the first and press the button to get the lift to go down from the third. It would be nice if they offered some meat at breakfast in the sandwich that is NOT pork based. There are millions of people in the US and billions worldwide who don't eat pork at all. But they had a nice breakfast otherwise.

Breakfast was great, the staff at the front desk were so patient and helpful. Full of smiles and told us about the area, which was nice because we had never been. The rooms were brand new rebuild after the hurricane so they were very modern and stylish.

The room had a slight odor of mold in it, but we knew they were still doing construction above and around us and due to the hurricane, it takes a long time to rebuild a hotel.

I appreciate the morning coffee. Not a breakfast eater. Barbara, the breakfast host was very friendly and kept the area clean. I enjoyed talking with her.

The neighbor room had barking dogs late into the night, every night. I love pets being allowed, but there should be rules, quiet hours, maybe specific floor for those with animals. The hotel was also under construction and although Marijuana is legal in Florida the linen area by the elevator shouldn't smell of it.

The staff were amazing. all polite and accommodating. They had coffee, tea and juices available 24/7 in the lobby along with other snacks which included yogurt, fruit, and cookies. they also have a little store and a washer and dryer on site. i also liked the lighting in the rooms. And the rooms have been newly renovated.

Extremely friendly and helpful receptionist. She even organised us fresh coffee when we happened to ask it at our arrival. And gave us room upgrade because the reserved room was not ready yet. Good connection to highways. Clean and quiet room.

Nothing special in walking distance but could of course be reached by car.
