It was nicer than I had expected for a "convenience" hotel located near the airport. The lobby amenities were able to accommodate the many hungry travelers. The beds were soft, the room was clean and the overall design was very appealing.

I would have liked a dedicated shuttle to the airport. Sharing a shuttle between numerous hotels caused problems with people fitting on the shuttle. It was stressful to have to wait until an emptier shuttle came by. The shuttle was one of the main reasons I had selected this hotle, but I needed to call an Uber anyway.

Location exceptional for LAX. Room was spacious, beds were comfy and we were extremely happy to get a 9.30 am check in after a long haul overnight flight. The designated check in staff member who dealt with us was very pleasant and professional, speedy and thorough. We were impressed at the smooth, methodical, and efficient process we had all done with warmth and genuine sincerity.

Wife said the pool was not really worth the visit, and after booking 2 queen beds we thought the beds were just doubles-a tad tight for my wife and daughter of 16. Nonetheless this Hotels name kept popping up on my screen when scrolling through copious hotels fo this busy July 4 weekend, so it was karma that i decided to go with it. Well worth the stay for all the above reasons, although a little overpriced, no doubt due to this long weekend.

Upsides- Convenient location near LAX. Hotel had a breakfast restaurant, an all day cafe, and a nice dinner restaurant. My boyfriend and I had amazing pizza! The hotel had a pool, but it was very small. We went to use it but there were a couple of kids and parents and no room left for us.

Downsides- 5 elevators, only 2 of which worked. Sometimes only 1 was working. Long wait times for a ride up to the 14th floor. Bathroom door didn’t fully close. Poor water pressure. Hair dryer, TV, and light on mirror in the bathroom all didn’t work. The hotel offered an airport shuttle every 20-30 minutes, but we waited 38 minutes in the morning to get back to the airport, and by then a huge line formed. We barely made it on.

The hotel was close to LAX airport - about a 15min walk from the domestic terminal and about 25min walk from the International terminal. The bed was comfortable There were 3 different restaurants/cafes to choose from on site that were reasonably priced This hotel is better than some of the more expensive hotels in the same vicinity.

The shower pressure was not good and the air conditioning unit was situated in the room and was noisy

The Hotel was very easy and convenient to the airport to break up our long travel home to New Zealand from the East Coast USA. We really appreciated being able to pay a bit extra to have the room all the following day with a check out of 6pm. Also appreciated the effort and Hotel protocol to help prevent the spread of Covid. The complimentary business area with computers and a printer was very handy. Restaurant staff were lovely.

Front desk staff were not overly friendly but that may well have been my perception as we were all wearing face masks and it was difficult for us to communicate especially having a different accent.

The Sonesta, while anonymous and unremarkable, is a perfectly adequate place to sleep if you simply need to stay overnight at LAX, and was the cheapest by quite some margin. The room was pleasant, the beds very comfortable and there was no noise. There is a complimentary shuttle to/from all terminals, but it's also possible to walk from the terminal to the hotel safely in 20-25 minutes.

We found a few french fries on the floor and on the chair in the room, and also the previous guest's mascara, so perhaps cleaning isn't as thorough as it could be. The agent on the desk at checkout didn't even look up from what she was doing, but simply pointed and said "Just leave the keys there".

We waited 45 minutes ion a transfer and had to ring the hotel to find out we needed to get a bus from a different hotel chain

Great location, great staff, and a big room with a huge comfy bed. Good spot for travelers flying in or out of LAX if you want a relaxed journey. The complimentary airport shuttle is definitely a big bonus. Plus it's a 2-minute walk from the Marriott International hotel where you can pick up a rental car. It's easily as comfortable as the bigger luxury chain hotels, but at a more reasonable price. Check out time is midday too which is another great bonus to this hotel.

I've stayed a number of times and it's gotten a lot more expensive in the last few years. Especially the food/restaurant options at the hotel (the staff are great though).

It was close to the airport. The bed was amazing and the room was nice and dark, I was able to sleep during a marathon 55 hour trip. One staff member went above and beyond, letting my son borrow a soccer ball from her car, to kick around. thank you shuttle service lady with braces. sorry I didn’t get your name

There was a long wait at check in, at midnight. my son was exhausted and it would of been wonderful to go right to our room
