Everything about this hotel from start to finish was wonderful. I arrived right at 3pm for check-in. The staff was welcoming. I put my shoes in the shoe locker and walked on tatami mats throughout the hotel in the Japanese socks they provided. My room was absolutely spotless, well-equipped with standard Japanese hotel room items and included a towel rack which was helpful after going to the onsens and it also had a great view. I put on my loungewear and headed to the onsens. Both group and 7 private onsens were varied with open-air and white water and different sizes. A few massage chairs were also available and free snacks were provided throughout the day. The location of this hotel is perfect. It's a two-minute walk from Beppu train station. There were plenty of cute restaurants, shops, bars, convenience stores and even a movie theatre in the immediate area. My bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The next morning was an incredible breakfast buffet. There was an unbelievable variety it was delicious. The hotel appears to be new. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here if you are coming to Beppu. Location, cleanliness, delicious food, lovely onsens, and comfortable bed. Everything was fabulous. I would gladly stay there again.

Since the private Onsen doesn't take reservation, so you have to wait at the spot. Your chance of getting the free room is totally spontaneous

New and nice onsen Free ramen at night (22:00 to 23:00), free popsicle at night and free yakult in the morning was great! They have private onsen that is first come first serve.

Too crowded and lots of tour groups

I had an excellent stay at Beppu Hatto Onyado Nono Beppu. The room was clean, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the private onsen, which was a relaxing highlight of my stay. The tatami floors throughout the property added a unique and authentic Japanese touch. There were also so many great free amenities, like ramen at night, free coffee and matcha, as well as probiotic drinks and ice pops, which were a nice bonus. The staff were very accommodating and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience in Beppu.

The hotel seems to be very new and everything feels just right. It starts with the tatami mats on the whole hotel area which is walkable without shoes and it ends with the very nice onsen on the 13th floor. You have two big onsens and 7 private onsen baths which are "first come, first serve". But no worries, you will find a free bath quite fast. During the waiting time, you can enjoy free ice cream, massage chairs or mangas (jp only) with a great view over beppu. The hotel is worth every yen you will spend and the hot onsen water baths are the cherry on the top. Definately recommend to stay here👍.

This modern ryokan style hotel exceeded our expectations and I wish we stayed here for more than one night! The private baths were a highlight of the experience and were very popular with all guests. You can't reserve them, so you have to wait patiently near the chairs next to the bath you want to try. In our experience most people didn't bathe for longer than 20–30 minutes, so the wait was never too long. Make sure you know which bath you want before you get there. Outside the baths are some massage chairs and a nice lounge with a beautiful view of the city. Enjoy a free ice cream while you cool down after bath time. They also give a free bowl of noodles around 9pm to all hotel guests, which was a pleasant surprise and a night treat.

Private bath queue is a little confusing. Some people will wait for ANY bath to open and will run to it as soon as it leaves. It should be a little more structured in how to fairly wait in the queue. One of the bath's "occupied" light didn't work, so people kept trying to open the door thinking that it was vacant. Make sure to use the lock and chain just in case.

Beppu Hatto Onyado Nono was a delightful surprise during our recent trip to Beppu. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore the city's attractions and soak in the local culture. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. One of the biggest draws of this hotel is its excellent value for money. The prices are reasonable, especially considering its prime location. Its Onsen facilities were also enjoyable, offering a relaxing way to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

While the hotel has many positive aspects, it's worth noting that it can get quite crowded, especially during peak season. Additionally, due to its central location, it may be more touristy than some travelers prefer. However, if you're looking for a clean, affordable, and conveniently located hotel in Beppu, Beppu Hatto Onyado Nono is definitely worth considering.

Pristine cleanliness, wonderful baths and extremely close to the station

Beppu is a large town so the location right next to the railway station and bus terminus is excellent. It is also on a lively street with bars and restaurants nearby. Most of the Onsen are a short bus ride or drive away. I really enjoyed the Japanese styling and tradition of the hotel. It is the first hotel I have ever stayed at where they make you clean the wheels of your luggage before entering. it is exceptionally clean. The rooftop onsen are a nice touch. Free coffee and ice creams are also available for everyone. I would book it in a heartbeat over a western branded hotel chain.

The room itself was a little small which is not unusual in Japan, but I thought that maybe our appearance led them to give us one of the not so good rooms in the hotel. However, it is an excellent hotel
