The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. The facilities were very clean and our bungalow had everything we needed. The staff provided a lot of written instructions on how to use various appliances and amenities which was also very thoughtful.

While the staff provided bug spray in the bungalow, as foreigners we weren’t prepared to know what type of insects we’d experience while staying in the bungalow. While this isn’t the responsibility of the staff, it would have been helpful to have a document listing common insects in addition to providing the spray.

we loved the outdoor onsen/tub! it was honestly the main reason I booked it. we sat in it for at least 2 hours. i booked two rooms for our family. one for myself and my husband. the other for our teenagers. the staff were very welcoming. there’s a multipurpose room with a ping pong table and vending machine-we didn’t spend any time there but I love that it’s an option. my kids also said breakfast was good!

the only negative about our stay was that you can hear everything. a guests alarm started going off at 3:30-4am and kept going off for about an hour. we could hear our neighbors conversations and at one point I giggled at a joke my husband said and our neighbors banged on our wall. And a few minutes later we could hear them laughing and talking. we didn’t mind because we didn’t have plans the next day but if we needed a restful night of sleep we wouldn’t have gotten it that night.

I had a nice and relaxing stay. The private onsen on the balcony was just great! I also liked the room and the size of the bed (I was travelling alone, so having the double bed for myself). It was nice to wear the yukata which could be found in the room. The staff could speak English and helped me with writing down my Japanese address. Everything was clean, and the light and the aircon/heater had remotes, which was nice.

The bed was a bit too hard for me. The breakfast didn't have that many choices and everything was wrapped in plastic. If you don't have a car, it's a little inconvenient to reach the place I'd say, but the little walk from the station was rewarded with a nice bath in the private onsen.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise during our trip to Japan. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the breakfast (included with the room) was a good way to start the day and the onsen was a welcome way to end the day. There are plenty of fantastic restaurants close by on the main street and there are also general shops for supplies very close (Don Quixote and a couple of convenience stores). The train links are a little further afield, but it's easy enough to just walk through Fuji Q (there is a free entrance ticket for just walking through) and use the train station attached to the theme park. Bus stations and taxis are also fairly reliable transport options. At the time of year we stayed (May), the area itself was pretty quiet - especially compared with some of the crowded areas nearer Kawaguchiko. As such, there wasn't really any noise from other guests - but the walls are fairly thin so this may change during busier seasons. The laundry equipment was easy to operate and reasonably priced, which allowed us to travel light for an extended trip to Japan.

The bathroom is on the small side. If you've stayed in an APA or similar business hotel then it's the same kind of moulded bathroom setup that those hotels have. This is fine for a night or two (and having access to the onsen for a more relaxing recovery time post-hiking does alleviate this issue a little), but I wouldn't be a fan of using such a small bathroom for longer visits.

We like the cabin in the woods feel & the open air bath attached to our room was a cute relaxing set up. Great way to unwind after a long day of walking & exploring. When it got too cold outside the bathhouse in the Main building was a great alternative, especially since you can reserve the space for private use during available time slots. It's also relatively close to popular attractions such as fuji Q highland which is practically across the street. However the entrance is on the far side of where your staying. Lake kawaguchiko is also super close as well. We avoided the overly crowded local buses and got to where we wanted to visit fairly quickly and inexpensive via taxi mostly. The time saved was well worth it. There are a couple of okay food options near by on the main street via a very short walk. Also, Don Q is a hop and a skip away just encase you forgot or need something simple. We definitely appreciated that they had a laundry machine on site since we were half ways through our 2 week adventures and it was time to replenish everything.

It's not as accessible as it seems on Google map's Atleast not walking, especially if you have a lot of luggage. I would recommend just getting a taxi from whichever station you touch down at. kawaguchiko station & mt.fuji station are both a quick and short ride from the villa. The front desk will also kindly order you a taxi for any local adventures when requested.

Everything was really awesome! I think you get the best value for money if you book during the week (cheaper) and without private bath. Because the shared onsen can be reserved for one hour and it's made out of Fuji volcanic stones (so much better than wood barrels), it's generous in space and really enjoyable. I loved it! Staff was kind, the room was spacious, futon enjoyable and close to everything. Moreover you can rent a bike and play ping-pong. Breakfast was ok too.

Thin walls and unpleasant guests loud late at night... Not the hotel's fault though because they made signs to keep it quiet during the night.

We had one of the rooms with the private outdoor baths and while we only stayed one night, it was wonderful. It was worth the money for the bath as it was really relaxing (even if it was 30 degrees celcius!) The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. The location is also very close to Fuji Q Highland. There was also the option for a complimentary breakfast although we didn't avail of this.

Just be warned that there is no mirror outside of the bathroom and the voltage in the area is kind of low for the hairdryer etc. The walls are fairly thin which the staff recognise by putting up signs to ask people to be quiet for certain hours, we just happened to have people in the room above us that wanted to move furniture all night.

The staff was very accommodating and even though we had no choice but to check-in at 11:30pm, which is past their opening hours, they still fulfilled the request. Place was very clean and facilities were up to par, staff was friendly and there was nothing to complain about. Parking also wasn't an issue even though we had 2 cars.

There's not much to complain about but 1 of us found the female onsen "eerie" like there was something watching them. It was only one occurrence and didn't really bother us much.

We were in need of accommodation in the area and booked Bself last-minute. It turned out to be a great experience! We stayed in the Garden View villa - the rooms were spacious and very clean. The furnishings were simple, but very comfortable, and the amenities were nice too (yukata, toiletries, coffee/tea, mini fridge, etc.). The star of the room was the private, open-air bath, of course! The staff were very helpful - they gave us a lot of great information about the area and made recommendations for activities and meals. The breakfast was simple (think cereal, sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs...) but very filling and wrapped so you had the option to take it to go if you wanted. Would happily stay here again for longer than one night!

(A very, very minor thing...) There was coffee/tea available in the room, but no milk or sugar - would be a nice touch to have these as well! There are a lot of shops/restaurants within walking distance, but for other attractions you may benefit from having a car.

The room was big, clean and comfortable. There was a private bathroom, plus a public bathroom you can book inside the hotel and a great onsen just 8 minutes away as well as a Don Quijote just next door and also many restaurants options around!! The place was quiet and surrounded with big trees and the hosts/staffs/ cleaners were all very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive: just the perfect type of service!!! The breakfast in the vast dining room was simple yet really nice with a delicious little hand made sandwich ! Thank you Jack, Ray, and everyone from the hotel for making my stay perfectly confortable !

I liked everything about this place !
