Wonderful oversized rooms with 2 twin sized, in reality they were standard sized, beds. Larger balcony with an unobstructed view off Mt Fuji. Breakfast was the same everyday with buffet style Japanese standard fare. The onsens were all included with bathing materials including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hair dryers. The small store in the main lobby stocked cookies, candies, trinkets and ramen. Restaurants are within 15 minutes of the hotel. The hotel does have a Japanese style restaurant with a fixed menu for 7700 yen per person. We walked to a pancake place about 10 minutes away. It was fantastic. There's a shopping center across the street and a grocery store although we didn't go. The hotel provided a shuttle to and from the main train station every hour on the hour beginning at 9 and ending at 4. At the train station you can purchase tickets for the buses to Mt Fuji 5th station, the Ropeway and other tourist attractions. Most staff do not speak English so translator is essential. The staff is friendly but doesn't offer to help even when they observe guests needing it. Example, elder couple struggling with luggage. Other hotels we stayed in throughout Japan water over the top in being helpful, making suggestions for places to eat or shop.

The breakfast was unchanging and at times looked unappetizing. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. The breakfast buffet also had a good variety of food. We loved the fact that we saw Mount Fuji from our room balcony.

The shuttle from the train station to the hotel only started at 3pm. When I called before 3pm but they could not entertain the request or even take down my name. All I was told was to call back later. Let me kinda puzzled. For foreign travellers, it can be quite difficult to make the phone call to request for the shuttle. There's a payphone at the station but it can get quite crowded there. Maybe the hotel can develop some sort of website or app that can allow guests to request for the shuttle?

The best view of Mt Fuji directly at your face. Loved the onsen, breakfast was superb and value for money, highly recommended to pay for breakfast as the restaurant outside opens late. Location is great as there are restaurants within walking distance and a shopping mall nearby. Hotel shuttle to kawaguchiko station is every 30mins from 8am-11am and upon request from 3pm-8pm.

Limited English but no problem as I can always use google translate. There were nothing much to eat at night as we couldn’t sleep from jet lagged, at the lobby there was 2 drinks vending machine and 1 ice machine machine, I wish there was an instant food vending machine like cup noodles

The staff and service was wonderful. The breakfast and kaiseki dinner was excellent. The suite was very good. The free shuttle bus...very handy. BUT THE VIEW...OMG...WAKING UP T0 MOUNT FUJI...PRICELESS!!! I would 100% stay here again!

Minor things like no ceiling lighting on the bedroom celing...as a woman was hard to do my makeup on the vanity mirror. Also refilling the lotion, shampoo and body wash would have been nice. There was also a random door (marked private) in my suite that I couldn't open... as a solo female I was abut paranoid, the is first night. However, again these are minor considerations and I would stay here again!

The most incredible view looking directly at Mount Fuji in all its glory, hotel room was large and comfortable and ideal for a family (we are 3 but 4 would have been fine too) set out like a small apartment with good balcony...hotel was walking distance from convenience stores and a small shopping mall and a short taxi ride to station or lake in opposite direction - we actually walked back from the lake as weather was so nice its a long walk but easy and pleasant to do if you have time and enjoy the exercise. Nice little gift shop in foyer, we didn't eat at the hotel so no idea what the food is like. Courtesy bus took us back to station end of our stay, which was so helpful.

Decor is a bit outdated, I kind of like the vibe but if you are expecting modern or fancy decor then its not...! The onsen wasn't again the fanciest looking, was a little out of date...but nice that they had one. It is quite a distance from the station and the lake so expect to hire bikes/car or take taxis to get around, all the famous sights are not walking distance to each other or the hotel. Other than that its pretty much perfect and one of our favorite places we visited on our holidays.

This hotel has very good views of Mt Fuji and the deluxe room is relatively large when compared to other hotel rooms in Japan. Breakfast options are ok and there is a shuttle bus to ferry hotel guests to and fro Kawaguchiko Station and Fuji Q.

Guests are required to call the hotel to request for shuttle bus pickup at Kawaguchiko Station (instead of a regular pickup schedule) and it takes around 10min for the bus to arrive. While the waiting time is not long, the temperature at Kawaguchiko Station could be very low (0 or below 0 degrees celsius) especially during windy periods.

Very well-located, close to many sights and attractions and plenty of parking available. The highlight was the spectacular view facing Mt. Fuji - I was greeted by the majestic Fujisan every morning, and it was a truly beautiful sight to behold. Another highlight was the dinners - gorgeous kaiseki cuisine every night, showcasing the chefs' skill and techniques, as well as the beauty of the seasonal ingredients. Though the hotel is a bit older, it's still cosy and comfortable - and most importantly, spacious. And, while I drove to and around Kawaguchiko, the on-demand shuttle service the hotel offers is a wonderful amenity. A good place to stay makes a big difference in a trip, and my stay at the Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko left me hoping to make a return one day.

I booked a 4 single bed room and the view of Mt Fuji was awesome and fantastic. it was also because the weather was clear as well. There are nearby eateries, supermarkets amenities within a 10 mins walk from the hotel.

The timing for the complementary shuttle bus service to Kawaguchiko station can be more guest friendly. The last shuttle timing leaving the hotel is 11am.The checkout time is also at 11am. It will be great, helpful and much more guest friendly if the last shuttle timing can be changed to 11.30am instead. This will give some guest time allowance.

Room was spacious. We woke up to a beautiful view of Mt Fuji from our room balcony. Hotel is a distance from Kawaguchi Station but hotel provides free shuttle services which makes up for the inconvenience. There's also a mall with a supermarket about 15 mins walk from the hotel. We has dinner at hotel for both nights of our stay and they were very good. Thumbs up to the chef.

Only slightly inconvenience is the shuttle in mornings is every 30 mins interval. If the mini van us full or just left, you would have to wait for it to turn around. So plan your trip in advance.

It was our second stay at the hotel. We chose it again as it has a splendid view of Mount Fuji, and its rooms are spacious and can accommodate easily a group of three-four people. The hotel has its own onsen, its facilities are clean. This time around, we especially appreciated kaiseki dinner served by the hotel restaurant - Jukai. The meals were delicious and different every day. They were a mix of Japanese and Western cuisine. The staff were also welcoming and friendly.
