It is such a great place to stay, the design is really beautiful, everything was super clean, staff is great! It's our second time staying here and we would stay again. I think renting a bike here is in my opinion the best way to explore Izu. The staff suggested trips and the roads that are suitable for us, so we really enjoyed our time there. We tried bunk beds this time and they were actually really big and comfortable, so even though we were a bit skeptical, they turned out to be a great option as well. The onsen was great, clean and never busy.

In the dormitory the lockers are pretty small and there is no place to put big bagpacks, so just something that could be improved. In the end we kept them on the bed as the cubicle was big enough.

The availability of both the onsen and bikes for rent. The breakfast offering was fine but the mains were not very tasty.

More guests appeared in the dorm on my last night of four nights there and someone hiked the air conditioner to 28 degrees Centigrade, too hot to be safe in a small room. I turned it down and someone turned it back up to 28 degrees. When I brought my concern to front desk, the guy expressed no concern and did nothing. So when I went back to the room, I turned the ac down and kept the remote control. Within minutes, someone had a separate remote control that front desk gave her, so she turned the ac back to 28 degrees. All this occured around 11:30 pm.

The room was large (35m²). The bed was comfortable. There was also plenty of space to open and pack luggage. There was also a seating area with a table. The toilet and shower is clean and well-maintained. On weekday nights, the public indoor onsen is almost a private onsen as you get to use it with no other guests around. The breakfast is good and delicious. I would recommend getting the hotel breakfast as the nearest convenience store is around 15 minutes walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The bus that stops at the nearest bus stop to the acccommodation runs only until around 7/8pm. Therefore, if you travel by public transport only, you will have to walk around 1km (around 15 minutes) from Izu-Nagaoka station to the accommodation if you reach the station after 7/8pm.

This is a very well run hotel that is geared towards cyclists. We are not cyclists, but we still enjoyed renting some e-bikes and going around the area for a whole day (remember to pack sunscreen!). Stop in at Celeste Cafe on your bike! So friendly, and the burgers were delicious. The room has a private toilet and wash basin, the only thing you don't have is a private shower, but these can be arranged for a small fee. You have free access to the hotel's onsen, which is great for bathing in after a day of exploring. When we were there, I used the onsen twice and there weren't any other guests there. It was so relaxing, a great way to break up some intense days of travelling. The rooms are luxurious and smell amazing. It rained on the first day we were there and the sound of the rain on the roof was lovely. They picked us up from the train station with either a shuttle or a free taxi ride.

The town is a little bit quiet on a Sunday evening, so dining options can be limited. You can ask the front staff to reserve at nearby restaurants which is handy. When you take the bikes out, be careful on choosing a route that is bike friendly. Some areas had a lot of car traffic. Breakfast was OK, could do with a bit more variety, but the coffee was good.

super friendly staff, nice selection of biking tours and good bikes to rent! would recommend the tougher tours (they are a bit of a challenge but not needed to be a pro athlete to make it)

Ryokan with bike focus. We planned to rent e-Bike to travelling around town unluckily it was raining. We had to come back the other day to enjoy biking in this small town. They also have onsen right on spot for relaxing. Overall great experience.

Hotel parking is not on site, you have to walk about 5 minutes.

Nice onsen, comfy beds and common area to meet other travellers. The bicycle's to rent are of great quality and the resort offers a couple of recommended GPS tracks to download and follow when out and about on the bicycle.

The only showers are in the onsen. For the alternative ones next to the fitness area you'll need a key from the reception.

Location was good with good public transport links. It was easy to rent a bike and the perfect place to cycle. The onsen is just beautiful and relaxing. The room was clean and just looked amazing. Staff were super friendly, would 100% recommend!

I loved everything about my stay here! The beds were comfy and the room and shared areas had everything I needed

All of the staff were helpful, friendly and sweet. Great facilities, comfy beds, large room with lovely furniture. All you could need. In room massage was arranged as well.

Breakfast was nice and the chef was a delight to chat to, however would have loved more Japanese options (it more western/French style).

Very amenable to cycling, I stored my (hired elsewhere) bike.

Very small quibble, but wifi in the room was poor. Very good in the very pleasant communal area. Bring some eyeshades as the rooms are western-Japanese style with no curtains (non-see through Japanese windows/walls)
