The location is very nice. The station is a 5 minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and nice cute shops. The interesting thing about Kanazawa as a tourist is that thanks to their bus loops you can essentially get to every attraction from the station itself, which means this hotel enables you perfectly to keep things flexible and go on a whim to places that were not perhaps in your initial plan. The hotel itself is perfectly in line with other Daiwa Roynet hotels: quality interior (especially the bathroom) with good amenities, and a nice desk & chair combo for work, if need be. A strange and particular highlight here was a massage chair that came in super handy after long days out exploring the wonderful city. Finally, I was very impressed with the value for what I paid. This is possibly due to visiting in off-season, but I think it is still worth mentioning.

As in other DR hotels, beds are quite stiff, which may be a problem for some (perhaps only for western folks, not sure). I am used to it but it is still a puzzling choice in what would otherwise be a perfect room. Also, the hotel is really on top of the train station, and even though sound proofing is great, it is not enough to completely block sounds. Cargo trains would usually run deep into the night and be quite loud, so ear plugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper.

Great location close to Kanazawa station. A 15 minute walk to reach Omicho Market, and then maybe 15 minutes more to reach the majority of major attractions in Kanazawa. Size of the room was larger than most other business hotels. Great bathroom and great amenities. Really friendly staff, decent wifi, and simple, yet flexible room service options.

This is more of a personal preference, but the beds felt a bit stiff for someone used to western-style beds. I'm sure it feels fantastic and comfortable for those used to futons on tatami. No other dislikes. I think we may become loyal Daiwa Roynet customers after this stay!

Breakfast is provided in a buffet restaurant downstairs. It is good. However, limited options for Vegan/Vegetarians. With so many Indians traveling, the hotel may consider keeping some Indian dishes also. However, we were OK with the limited options available as the staff in the restaurant was very good! The Indian chef also prepared a Vegetarian Pizza for us as we could not eat most of the Japanese breakfast items. The hotel is a new property and hence the interiors and fittings are modern. The space is much better than most Tokyo hotels. The check-in process is detailed but very helpful as they share all the details for your comfort. The staff is very courteous and has a genuine intent to help and make your stay a great experience. The location is the best part of this hotel. You can take your trains and buses from just 3-4 minutes walk from the hotel. There is a 7/11 store attached to the hotel also so you never run out of essentials. Check-out is a self-service process and really efficient. I will highly recommend this hotel. Do note that we stayed in the Daiwa Roynet Nishiguchi. There is another Daiwa Roynet at a similar distance from the station and this review is not about that.

Consider adding some Indian dish/ food items in the breakfast or increasing the Vegetarian items.

The room was really nice, good sized and very clean, with a very nice bathroom and tub. There are good amenities in the lobby, including a pod coffee/tea machine, juice and lots of little cosmetic things like packets of cleanser, hair brushes, etc. Water bottles were placed in the room. The location is a block from the Kanazawa train station and our room overlooked the tracks (we could faintly hear the trains but the noise level was generally fine). Staff were helpful. While we did not explore the area around the hotel, the location near the station made it very convenient for the trains and buses. It was about a 20 minute ride by bus to the Kenroku-en garden and Kanazawa castle.

The European style solid mattresses were a little hard for my companion but I liked them.

The location was reasonably close to Kanazawa Station. The room, though not spacious, was adequate. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but did have dinner at the restaurant on the first floor of the building, an Italian Restaurant that was very good.

I can't think of anything I disliked at this hotel. There were hotels closer to Kanazawa Station, but the location was OK. Note that there are two Daiwa Roynet hotels in the vicinity, so travelers should be aware of this and go to the one where you have a reservation. We made the mistake of initially going to the wrong one.

The location was really great, literally 5mn walking distance from the train station complex. On the way, there was a Shrine and a temple. which was also my view. A 7/11, just next to the hotel. The premises were great, the staff nice and trying to explain to you to their best. They were nice to allocate me a room with a very nice bathtub and to explain about the free amenities that you can take downstairs. You can store your luggage.

A bit of miscommunication at first as I tried to explain that I already paid which got cleared out at some point. Take a translator app on your phone as a backup if you don't speak Japanese as it may be useful.

The coffee station and juice station at the lobby was nice. The hotel is very close to the train station (about 5 minutes walk by crossing two cross walks) and there is a 7-11 on the bottom floor. (Note that the train noise at night wasn't that much of an issue).

The walk to the train station was not very pleasant as it was snowing and although the area in front of the hotel was cleaned up, the cross walk was a disaster. I know it is not the hotel's responsibility but I wish they would have helped clear the cross walk since so many guests were rolling around with their luggage. (It would have been a good citizen move by the hotel). The laundry machines were very busy at night and I had to wait for a long time before a machine was free. The mirroring on the TV didn't work very well for me.

A fairly new property, located within a short walking distance(5-7 minutes) of the main train station. Rooms were immaculately clean and the bathroom was amazing. The shower was large and I’ve never seen the provision of a hair curling wand provided before now! In the foyer, you were able to collect little sachets of facial products should you have run out and a selection of different teas to take back to your room. Great value for the price of a room.

Nothing really. Whilst this isn’t that important nor a necessity, if the hotel were looking to make any adjustments, perhaps the provision of an English language channel on the TV for foreign visitors?

This hotel exceeded my expectations. You feel like you’re staying at a 4 star luxury hotel but you are paying budget prices. I paid ~$78 each night for two nights and feel like I got a great deal. Bathing room is separated from the toilet and sink. It’s super luxe! The included toiletries are also top quality. My room had a massager chair that was fun to use. Giant king sized bed was comfortable with soft pillows. Hotel is right on top of a 7-11 so you can easily get snacks. There are complimentary coffee and fruit drinks in the hotel lobby. You can buy all the souvenirs you like at the Kanazawa train station - and then easily edrop off your stuff at the hotel before going out for dinner

Honestly, nothing. This is not a knock on the hotel but there are limited dinner options if you arrive too late at the Kanazawa station. Your food options are limited to the restaurants in the train station, which have Last Call orders at 9PM or 9:30PM. You can't order food after that even if the restaurants themselves are still open. But hey, you can always eat at the 7-11 downstairs?

Small rooms,. Bed was placed such that one person would have to climb in and out of bed. Staff at concierge/ reception was not very helpful by Japanese standards- didn't help with restaurant reservations, didn't advise that we had to pay for local calls if we made reservations ourselves, minimal help when asked about sightseeing and directions
