1. Short walk from Kamata station. Lots od shops and restaurants nearby including 7-11, etc. 2. Good wifi. Room had everything i needed including slippers, hairdryer, kettle etc. 3. free tea, coffee, water 24 hours in reception. Also get bread, tea/coffee, yogurt and juice for breakfast. 4. Luggage storage after check out was very handy as i had a late flight.

1. Room was small and the only place where i could open my large suitcase was by the door. 2. Hotel was in a red light district and i saw prostitutes in the street at night. It didn't really bother me and i just walked past them. 3. Communal areas look really worn out and old, especially the lift.

Excellent location. Close enough to the Haneda airport, but the airport doesn't disturb you at all. Friendly and helpful staff, I had some questions about how to do this or that during my stay, but all of them were quickly resolved. The room was very nice, clean and neat. Good air conditioner, a lot of sockets around the room, nice smelling shampoo and other bathroom stuff, a lot of towels - in short all the small details for convenient stay were there. Especially I liked buttons designed to switch on/off all the lights in the room near the headboard. I was happy to find out that there were also washing machine and drying machine on one of the floors + vending machine with some water and stuff. I was able to wash and dry all of my clothes approximately in 1,5h without going and looking for some place to do it anywhere outside the hotel. Convenience stores like Family Mart or Lawson can be found nearby. Bus station and Kamata subway station are also not far from the hotel. It was a great place to stay at while exploring Tokyo.

The room was ok as regards the space. The hotel is located on a back street and I could not hear much noise from the street. Air conditioning was also ok. The bathroom was well equipped. Location was good with 7/11 shop 100m away and the JR railway station (Kamata) 5 minutes away by foot, from there (25 min to Tokyo Station, 20 min. to Shimbashi Station where you can see Ghibli Clock and change for another JR line to Shibuya/Shinjuku). Just note that Kamata is on a commuters line so it can get very crowded during rush hours on work days, which could pose some challenge if you travel in a group with suitcases (but if you take the train after 9am it is suddenly becoming less crowded). The staff from the hotel was very friendly, provided advice on useful places nearby, lent us umbrellas when it was raining outside, etc. The hotel offered free tea/coffee next to the reception. Overall, fairly convenient location and good value for money.

The doors shut with some noise and I could hear people leaving/ returning to their rooms quite early morning when they were shutting their doors. The bathroom was rather small. The hotel did not offer breakfast although but it was not a major problem as you can get what you need for breakfast e.g. in 7/11.

A very nice and clean hotel. The staff was very cooperative and nice. It has a great location, it is located near Kamata JR Station which is very coinvinient, also Kamata area itself has a lot of stuff to do. I would defnitely chose it again. The attached bathrooms have a nice bath and toilet.

The price could be better. We booked two similar rooms while booking. However, one room was very small and other was just a little bigger. Small room has no space for even standing if you have a couple of big bags, which caused a lot of inconvinience. The AC/heater in the bigger room was not working properly, it released a bad scent and dust.

Nothing to dislike about this hotel, great location for food, perfect for tube station just two hundred metres away, mixture of Japanese and Nepalese hotel staff,if you're looking for the ideal base, look no more, red roof kamata is the place to stay,I tried to book extra nights because that's how I roll, but fully booked up, gutted to leave,and try my luck in other hotel, staying in other hotel but miss my comfortable easy going redroof kamata,

Nothing to dislike

We had spent a month in Japan, various cities and in various hotels sponsored by other well-regarded hotel chains and chose our last 2 nights at the Red Roof Kamata (Ota city) as it is only about 25 min away from Haneda's International departure gates--or taxi (15 min, 20€). We were rewarded for our choice as the room was bigger than the more ubiquitous chain hotels and much, much, less expensive.. Big comfortable bed. spanking clean, great shower/tub and plenty of real hot water. Also it featured free lobby refreshment options that the others did not. Within a few hundred meter were several cheap, but welcoming onsen spa options The staff was super helpful and over-delivered on service. So much so that as we rethink our future leisure travel plans( about 180 days a year), in which we usually spent 80% in Airbnb, Vrbo apartments, due to the price, location, staff, and amenities, we are going to look at Red roofs in the area. Because to find one of the holiday rentals at this price point, you always have to sacrifice centrally located ones--or wind up with a disappointing small one.

The Hotel is close to JR Kamata station & Haneda airport with excellent location as recommendations from other tourists. You can easy to find Donki, supermarket ,shopping plaza and all kinds of restaurants by walking 3-5 mins. Good value with 2 comfortable beds & clean room. It's great place to live in Tokyo.

The only bad point is outside noise as trucks unloading/loding goods , cargo cart sound & bird chirping at midnight & early morning during sleeping time with earplugs for seven nights stay.

Location is good. Close the airport and can easily access various locations in Tokyo and Yokohama. Price is good value for money and the staff are always excellent to deal with. Great for business stays.

It is easy to hear people in neighboring rooms and in the hallway. Sometimes other hotel guests play music and talk loudly. This is not the hotels fault but can be annoying. This is not a constant issue though.

I absolutely love this hotel! Myself and my mum stayed here twice on our backpacking trip to Japan! It has everything you need. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. We left the hotel for a night then came back the next night, they allowed us to leave our bags here! Very safe, clean and friendly hotel to stay. Super location close to Kamata station. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful Hotel in an easy to reach location from the local train station. Friendly staff, free light breakfast. Everything you need in a compact hotel room! The bed was lovely and comfy. Mum and daughter stay, we liked it so much that we have changed one of our hotels to come back for another night later on in our trip.
