The hotel's location was superb, being in such close proximity to major departmental stores, with a train station just beside it & the famous Nishiki market within a 10 minute walk. The ambience of the hotel is calming and the architects' vision of creating a green, sustainable space is evident everywhere you look in Good Nature Hotel. The rain-shower and generous tub were a bonus! We paid a little extra for our room balcony which was worth it, as the spot overlooked the lovely plant trelis and garden, making it a relaxing outlet after a busy day touring Kyoto. An ice maker & water dispenser on every floor was really thoughtful as well. Despite the hotel being a little pricier than others, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely book Good Nature Hotel again on our returning trip!

Given that the hotel is big on sustainability, you may need to request for additional amenities such as ironing board and pay for items such as toothbrush, hairbrush or razor kits. All up, a tiny inconvenience in exchange for a memorable stay!

Great location, very convenient accessing major sights like Gion, Nishiki Market. Friendly and helpful staff. Love the lemongrass scent in the lift lobby. Great heating - warm but unobtrusive. Great gym.

The room was a little dimly lit. Could have done with one or two more lamps.

Really enjoyed our stay at Good Nature Hotel. The location is amazing - very close to the old town of Gion, the train station and the busy Main Street. I liked the eco-friendly aspect of the hotel, and the design was beautiful. Staff were friendly and polite. The restaurants and cafes inside the hotel were super convenient. The garden area inside the hotel is cool. Chocolates and tea in the room were a nice touch.

I didn’t love how the bathroom sink was in the main room. The room lacks a bit of natural light. Regardless though, the room/hotel was lovely.

Gorgeous hotel in a perfect location. The best buffet breakfast we've ever had in any hotel. Nicely decorated, spacious room. When we shipped our luggage from the hotel in Tokyo to here, the courier (Kuroneko Yamato) destroyed one of the wheels on my Herschel suitcase; it had nothing to do with the hotel, but they still helped me contact the courier. It was an unfavorable outcome for me, but I was impressed that they helped!

The only two things that were disappointing was that there was absolutely no view at all from the window (it just faces right against a parkade), and the lighting above the bathroom mirror is really bad. That wasn't a problem for me, but my girlfriend couldn't do her morning make-up routine because of the dim light.

The room felt very big -after staying in some other Japanese hotels- and was very comfortable. The hotel is in the top floors of a new building with a shopping centre and restaurants in the lower floors. The staff could not have been more helpful and charming, they organised for our suitcases to be sent to our hotel in Tokio, wrote all the labels (a lot of writing) and checked twice our names matched the Tokio hotel booking. Very well located for sightseeing and transport. 15 m on the bus from Kyoto station.

The bathroom had a weird configuration, with the basin in the room. There was only one tv channel not in Japanese and we had to get someone from reception to turn off the dubbing so we could hear the English- there was a typhoon going on and we wanted to know what was going on.

Reasonably quiet rooms and good breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff.

Rooms were a bit on the small side and layout a bit odd, with the TV on side wall on fixings that don't move. You can't watch TV unless you are sitting at the bottom of the bed at a right angle. A bit pointless to have a TV at all. One side of the bed was very close to the wall. I am not a tall person and I almost hit my head on the wall, whilst getting up from bed. Also, the lifts constantly stop on the 4th floor (reception level) even when no one has pushed the button for the 4th floor. Minor things, but definitely odd.

The rooms were fantastic and I cannot fault them. They were spacious, comfortable and very clean. We loved how the toilet was separate to the bath and shower, and how the bathroom was a wet room. The complimentary elements i.e., water, coffee and tea were appreciated and great. Every night we had a great sleep and there was no disruption from the traffic out on the main road (the rooms are soundproofed pretty well). Location wise it was perfect right in the centre of Kyoto and a good starting base for every morning.

The breakfast buffet charge was hefty at a cost of 3300yen. We never visited the breakfast buffet so cannot comment on the food quality or value for money. The cost was just too much and put us off straight away.

The property is conveniently located in central Kyoto. We enjoyed the fact that many stores and activities were of close reach. The hotel is brand new and of a neat and minimal yet modern and stylish design. Rooms are very spacious with an elegant and smartly designed interior, with all amenities that one may need. Beds were very comfy and perfect for resting after a long day. The hotel boosts your mood immediately after entering. The building actually includes multiple facilities like restaurants, food and accessories/clothing store, and a cute cafe. Staff were extremely polite and helpful with everything. Hats off to the breakfast bar, which is totally worth it.

We had no expectations out of Good Nature Hotel, but it was an amazingly pleasant surprise! First, it is conveniently located near bus and train stations, very close to Kyoto station too. It is within walking distance from Nishiki Market, which is a must-visit while in Kyoto (first or 45th time, you have to go). The hotel itself is VERY pretty, as soon as you enter the lobby you feel immersed in the eco-friendly and peaceful atmosphere they've achieved to create. The room was incredibly spacious and very tastefully decorated; this was one of our favorite hotels we've ever stayed at.

The only thing missing for me was a fitness center, but I get why one doesn't fit in with the Good Nature culture.

The hotel is located near to the old town, right next to the river and its nice neighborhood, as well as the modern part of the city. It's a good mix and we could do activities by foot, public transport or taxi very easily. The room is great and new. The bedding was comfy and the AC was good because you didn't feel the airstream while the room was at perfect temp. They have a nice outdoor patio, and the breakfast (let's be real that's one of the things that matter most) is great with a variety of foods. Overall clean, recent, nothing negative to mention.
