The place is clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and approachable. They offered bathtub usage for free, though I wasn't able to use it. They also provide good product for toiletries. The place was also close tourist spots, train stations and bus stops. 👌👌👌
The place on the locker area is a bit small, i think only 2 people can open luggage at the same time. Moreover, they only offer 1 washing machine so everyone would need to wait for one to finish to do tbeir laundry. If you don't have anything to wash then its not gonna be a problem.

Tucked away in the heart of Kyoto, you’re a stone throw from some brilliant sights, foods and shopping experiences. From Koue Kyoto, a newcomer to the craft watch scene, Nintendo Kyoto, a film studio, a castle and plenty more, you’re spoilt for choice in places to visit. It’s also worth mentioning right next door is a prime location for a delicious bowl of ramen. The Glansit itself is very sleek and modern in style, easy check in and a very satisfying security system. The rooms are cozy and convenient but can get a little warm. (Expanded in the cons) The whole place is immaculate, zero comment there. The pricing is reasonable for the location.
My biggest issues with the location were, the fans in the capsules didn’t seem to work very well. I found myself in dire need of time outside to cool down through the night which distrupted sleep, perhaps a review of the fans and their effectiveness. The bath in the men’s quarters was out of order the entirety of my four day stay, a real shame as the photos did make it look rather nice. My two comments for change would be some means to force occupants to adhere to the rules regarding volume at certain times, I found the odd person was rather loud and rude being on their phone chatting during the night. The second is the rail for the capsules, most people did not lock it into place and you would hear the plastic clattering through the night which was tedious.

Prime location, stunning modern facilities, clean, value for money, and professional staff. I stayed in the superior capsule room and I was grateful for the extra space. The facilities are cleaned regularly. I loved the beautiful ceramic bathtub in the men's bathroom. Plenty of bath towels and disposable toiletries for use, as well as a hairdryer and washing machine available. There's a lovely rooftop space.
The wooden bucket and stool in the men's bathtub room had black mould and I told the cleaner about it but it was still not cleaned properly. He wiped it with a wet towel but I told him he should use a cleaning product to actually kill the black mould otherwise it will keep on growing back but he didn't seem to understand.

- Excellent location within walking distance to key sights and the metro. It's tucked away from the main downtown area, providing easy access in a quiet atmosphere. - Extremely clean. Staff was very professional and were always stopping by the lounge to empty trash. - Great amenities including free drinks
- 5:00pm check in is too late. The staff will not allow you to access any of the building before then, including bathrooms. - An additional Kyoto tax was required at check in that I wasn't aware of before. The tax isn't their fault, but advanced notification would be helpful. - The biggest improvement that this hotel could make is to include changing rooms. The changing area is like a gym locker room that can become very crowded.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at. The location is excellent—everything is nearby, including a metro station just a short walk away. There are plenty of food places around, making it incredibly convenient. The staff is friendly, and the capsules are spotless. There’s also a lovely terrace on the rooftop, and the hostel provides free hot drinks to enjoy and all the amenities you need for skincare. The hostel has separate spaces for showers and lockers, which are thoughtfully located away from the sleeping capsules. This means you can shower at any time without worrying about disturbing others with noise, like from a hairdryer.. Overall, the experience was fantastic, offering comfort and quality that rivals a hotel. I highly recommend this hostel for anyone seeking convenience, cleanliness, and great amenities.

Staff. During my check-in we had some arguments since I was supposed to teach English online as soon as I arrived and they said I could work here, there are lounge areas. But in the building I couldn’t find a single power outlet to connect my computer with electricity! And even though I used Japanese translation,we were not able to communicate well and the problem took a while to be resolved resulting in forcing me to cancel one of my lessons which has caused me a penalty at my work! Finally they were able to provide me a place with power outlets. After this, they have absolutely been helpful at anything. From stay-related questions to personal questions such as suggestions on what to eat even how to get on ‘’the Naruto train’’ 😅Especially the Japanese receptionist with blonde hair and the receptionist from Sri Lanka with extremely long and beautiful hair have been really helpful even though their English level is not so high. 😅 The laundries are available to be used. Free water hot or cold 24/7 which is great! Many lounges on each floor. Clean and safe.
The lounge at the entrance is not well decorated.People can sit in a circle but can do nothing, instead of that big plant, there could be a big table providing some electrical power outlets to allow people more places to work and eat.Not against the plant but it could be put somewhere else.😅

Outstanding capsule hotel. I was coming from Tokyo, after my first experience in a similar accommodation, and this one easily surpassed my expectations. I was coming really happy with my previous stay but after being in this one now I know how exceptional capsule hotels can be. The capsule itself was bigger than expected, the common facilities (showers, bathrooms, lockers) were immaculately clean. I have to compliment even the way everything was set up with the water machine right before entering the common spaces, the locker located strategically between the bathrooms and the capsules. Everything was perfect.
It’s usual for this kind of hotels, but check in being available not before 5pm was a bit too late in my opinion.

I’ve stayed in probably close to 100 capsule hotels/hostels and this one is pretty perfect in my opinion. The layout was very convenient with the capsule beds, locker room, and powder room/toilets/showers all being within the vicinity of each other but separated enough to where there is good comfort and noise isolation. New towels and slippers are also left outside your capsule bed in a plastic bag every day. There are four showers on every floor with one of the showers also containing a bath. The bath/shower on the second floor has a nice and relaxing ambience to it. There’s not much of a common area to mingle, but there is a smallish rooftop lounge for men that’s kind of confusing to get to because you have to go through the capsule room on the fourth floor to reach the outdoor stairs. I did see quite a few guests just chatting it up in the locker room like it was high school gym class, and so it is possible to socialize if that’s what you’re looking for. Otherwise, it is also just as easy to keep to yourself if that’s what you desire. In my opinion, the location is the best to stay in Kyoto because it’s in an active area of downtown that has various shops and restaurants nearby and so it always feels lively. Also very close to the subway and bus stops, making it easy to get to/from Kyoto Station or the shrines and temples of Kyoto. Other places I’ve stayed in Kyoto, the surrounding area was too far from public transportation or didn’t have much to do, and so staying here in the heart of downtown Kyoto was perfect. All in all, it’s a luxury capsule hotel at a very reasonable price.
5:00 PM check-in is a bit late, but you can leave luggage and explore, so it’s not too bad.

I like how clean and helpful the staff was. When the female staff came to clean they were careful about opening the doors. The locker was standard. I did like we got a fresh set of towels. I wasn't sure but when I came back they and a pair of slides were in a bag. I loved the floor level break level and that the water machine had a hot option as well. Oh, and that private tub area looks just like the picture and was nice. The products provided were nice as well. There's a talk mirror so you can check how you look before leaving.
I tried to go to the rooftop but it was close.

Friendly staff, modern accommodation with great attention to detail for cleanliness. I'm fussy when it comes to cleanliness but I wasn't in the communal area once without staff there to clean. Beds are comfortable.
It's too hot inside the sleeping area and metal bars on blinds make loud noise when they bang against the bed. This makes it very hard to get a good night's sleep as other guests come and go all night. And I'm not a light sleeper. I could've dealt with the noise with ear plugs but it was way too hot to sleep (23 degrees when I checked)
