Hotel had everything we needed and was an easy walk to the station. Very clean and they had our bags in our room waiting for us after we shipped them via luggage transfer from Tokyo

Not the hotel's fault but just be aware that if you walk from the station via google maps it takes you on a very convoluted route down backstreets and alleys. What should have been a 10 min walk from the station took us 30 mins in the dark - pretty sure google maps was confused by the overhead train lines. We did not spend much time in the room as we were out and about but if you intend to do so, the windows are frosted so no view. Did not bother us but don't expect an outlook. Very close to the rail line if the bothers you.

Excellent hotel The rooms are spacious and pleasant, the staff is professional and very nice They recommended amazing local places! We were traveling with a large caravan and we needed parking, and the parking lot was adjacent to the hotel and even after check-out they agreed that we would stay a little longer in the parking lot The value for the price is amazing !

You can't really open a window because the hotel is on railroad tracks, you don't hear any noise when the windows are closed, but you need to have the air conditioner on all the time The hotel is not in the city center and requires walking/driving - but on the way we saw a lot of worthwhile places that we are not sure we would have reached But the hotel is near the central station and near many stunning temples

Room was very cute, spacious, and had a traditional/ryokan feel to it. We really enjoyed the tatami mats, floor seating, and futons, while also having raised beds to sleep on as well. Staff was very kind and held our luggage for us since we arrived before check in. When we returned in the evening to check in properly our bags had been taken up to our room already. Hotel was about a 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station which made getting around very easy. It's off a small side street that looks a little strange at first but is actually very quaint! We only stayed for an overnight so cannot speak to the quality of the breakfast or other hotel amenities.

Our individual room was a little dusty and everything but the bathroom was a tad bit outdated compared to the lobby and facade of the hotel. Looks like it got an exterior makeover that did not extend to the guest rooms. It does make it feel more like an authentic ryokan though for what it's worth?

Room was a great size and so was the bathroom. The staff took our luggage into our room for us checking in as we had arrived before 3pm so that was a nice touch. Location was great also, a short walk to Kyoto station to allow us to travel about. Staff were also very nice.

I loved the ambience of the hotel. I stayed with my grandparents, who can be picky about accommodations, and this was their favorite lodging during our time in Japan!

There were some extra fees that came up during our check in, which was a bit frustrating to me.

Was expecting some unwanted noises when i saw how the hotel was set amidst major roads & train line; pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was in our room. Superb shower room. Great location- easy walk to Kyoto station and AEON. For the bicycle enthusiast, Iwai Shokai is a short stroll away.

Fantastic boutique hotel with large rooms not too far from the Station. The staff were super friendly and helpful and there is a great Italian restaurant on site that can serve all meals including breakfast.

Very well appointed hotel and rooms first class, large by any standard and very comfortable. Great location just 15 min walk from Kyoto station. Staff wonderful and very helpful

Excellent, smaller hotel with large, modern rooms, including a great bathroom. There is a lovely restaurant on the ground floor and the staff were super helpful.

The room was spacious and comfy. The bathroom was very relaxing too
