Excellent staff, very helpful & polite. Very peaceful, a good nights sleep assured on the 5 nights we stayed there. WIFI stable and fast. Washing machines are a good option - best bet is to use the machines early in the morning as later in the day and evening it gets busy. Bus stops very near to the hotel. Subways a little further out - 10 mins walk, nice walk across the bridge to one of them.

The Hotel is around 15 minutes walk from the station and there isn't much nearby in terms of where to have an alternate breakfast. So for that reason I would opt for the Hotel breakfast which is very good indeed with an excellent choice. Also no convenience stores nearby.

Loved the customer service! Location was perfect for us: at walking distance from train station (15min), from city center (20min), from old town (30min). There is also underground stops at just 5 and 10min walk from the hotel. Although the best thing was the breakfast! It wasn't extensive but this made it easy and quick to grab and was actually very complete, with great quality food

The room was a bit small for us, as we travelled with large luggage but the value was great anyway so can't complaint at all!

The room that I stayed has view of Kyoto Tower and Higashi Hongan-ji Temple. There are several cafes within the area of the hotel. Hotel is within walking distance to Shichijo station. There is Uniqlo Kyoto Yodobashi nearby. Hotel provides free coffee and tea throughout the day, soft drinks is available till midnight daily. Microwave is available at the lobby pantry. Self-laundry, smoking room, drinks vending machine and some snacks for purchase is available at level 1 within hotel. Room has ample space for allowing 2 luggages to be fully opened.

Staff were very friendly and quickly responded to questions or requests. Breakfast buffet was varied and sufficient. Dining room served simple evening meals - great when we arrived back from a day of sightseeing and didn't feel like venturing out to look for a restaurant. Coffee and soft drinks were available all day and it was nice to have a coffee break in the lobby or adjacent dining room. We walked from/to the train station on our arrival/departure - took about 15 minutes. Laundry and money exchange were convenient.

The views from our room were spectacular! The room itself was a decent size, though could be a little bigger if you and a second person want to open up your fairly large suitcases comfortably. It had modern facilities and was clean. The fridge and the TV with various streaming services were a nice touch. The staff were kind, helpful, and informative and had set up a nice communal area on the first floor for people to eat, indulge in free drinks, and hang out. Though a little far from Kyoto station, it takes about 15 minutes to walk there if you don't want to take a bus. Overall, a fine hotel!

Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have prior notice of having to pay city tax before arriving! Also, the internet kept cutting out!

Great location, ~15mins walk and <10mins by bus to/from Kyoto Station. Bus stops are nearby. There is a rental bike shop nearby, very easy access to rent a bike and stroll along the Kamo river. The lounge/lobby is spacious, breakfast is affordable and nice, and there is a coffee machine & soda/juice machine. Room is decent, wifi is good, and lcd screen with netflix.

Only 2 washing machines available and is first come first serve. Each run takes 2hrs. I have to do my laundry one evening but was late for 1 min where a lady arrived just before me, while the other machine was just started a run. So I have to wait for 2 hrs (I used this time to go grab dinner), and arrived at the laundry room 10mins before the machine is done so that I can use it. The whole process is quite stressful, I wish they have a booking system or add more machines. Also a week before arriving, received a phishing email/message from the hotel.

Everything! Reception staff, esp Sita Bhandari (who speaks fluent English & Japanese) were all always cheerful, very warm & polite. Sitar was especially helpful in arranging our luggage forwarding arrangements. Room (twin) was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good, with good western selections of hot & cold selections, and pastries. Free flow of expressed coffee from the automatic coffee maker. Coffee, tea, all kinds of cold sparkiling water, tea, colas right thro the day. Free alcohol for 1hour at night! Excellent clean coin operated laundry facilities on ground floor. Best of all the budget price for the room. Bus stops just a minute's walk outside. Best value budget hotel I have stayed in in many years of holiday travels in Japan. Definitely recommend it.

I already stayed at this hotel one year ago so I knew what to expect, it's reasonably close to the train stations, in the evening I believe they offer free alcoholic drinks, they gift you one bath salt pack per person per night, and they have a catalogue of manga to read in the hall. The room size is good enough. Reasonably close to good restaurants. If you arrive from the central station, don't use the park on the other side of the road as a reference, because there are no crossings nearby and you'll end up wasting 5 minutes.

The hotel is a long walk from the train station or subway station. The main station is reachable on foot in 15 minutes. Lots of helpful amenities on site. The hotel is pet-friendly and that's a good thing. European style breakfasts are also delicious. You can count on happy hours and many amenities such as a laundry room or an indoor smoking room. It is worth paying extra for a room with a city view.

In the morning we came exactly 9:30 (because we were visiting the bamboo forest at dawn) for breakfast and we didn't get anything to eat. Ok we were right at the end of breakfast but it would be nice if the staff showed at least minimal care and went to the kitchen so as not to leave us hungry.

The beds were very comfortable and our room had a great view. It's in a great location close to multiple bus stops that can take you to major sightseeing places in Kyoto. The lobby had lots of amenities including free drinks and their connecting bar offered guests an hour of nomihodai! It's close to the station so if you have large luggage a taxi ride is not too expensive.

The rooms were a little small with two big suitcases. It was a little pricey for a 3 night stay but it's to be expected when traveling during New Year's.
