I recently stayed at Hotel M's Plus Shijo Omiya during my visit to Kyoto, Japan. The location of the hotel was excellent, offering easy access to popular attractions and transportation options. The convenience of nearby shops, restaurants, and public transport made exploring the city a breeze. One aspect that stood out during my stay was the friendly and helpful staff. They were welcoming, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. Their warm hospitality added to the overall positive experience at the hotel. Moreover, the hotel's amenities were excellent. The provided amenities met my expectations, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay. The facilities were well-maintained, and the available services added value to my visit.

I found the room size to be a little too small for my liking. While it was clean and well-maintained, the limited space made it a bit challenging to move around comfortably, especially with luggage. It may be more suitable for solo travelers or those who prioritize location over spacious accommodations

The hotel was close to the train station, bus stops, eateries, and convenience stores. The staff was very professional, courteous, and accommodating. We were a group of 4 family members and the hotel accommodated us by placing our rooms next to each other. The double twin-bed rooms were better to stay in than the full double-bed room for two people. The toiletries provided were quality products. We stayed here and were able to make a day trip to Osaka using the train from the station near the hotel. It was convenient.

Although your room trash was emptied and you were provided new towels every day, any other room cleaning was only available every two days, such as vacuuming, etc.

Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights as a solo traveler. everything about my room at 517 is perfect !!!! From cleanliness to toiletries to the warm toilet seat to the pajamas, and refill of water bottles is like I was staying in a 5-star hotel service and facilities wise. also, the pantry area ( eating area) is very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Looking forward to staying at the same hotel when I get back for another visit!!! More than 10 stars rating !!!!

It could have been better had I known you have a branch near Central Kyoto. On my first day, I had to walk 3 hours as I was hesitant to ride a bus and it was already past 6 in the afternoon. I thought it was only a few minutes walk from Central Kyoto but I arrived very late at the hotel around 9 pm and exhausted from walking . On the lighter side, I appreciated that there are a lot of convenience stores in the area. It is pretty safe to walk also even if it is late at night and the people are friendly and very helpful.

Location was very close to many busses and trains. Staff were very helpful. The visitors room was full of amenities which was great. The room was small but. Expected for Japan. The air condition in the room was fabulous. I was slightly disappointed by the bed, was uncomfortable for me. Also one pillow had pebbles in it. They provided one pillow per person, I would have preferred two per person. Overall it was a very good hotel.

More comfortable bed and better pillows. I wish they provided two comfortable pillows per person rather one pillow with funny pebbles inside the pillow.

I really like the Hotel although my plan changed at very last minute so I can’t explore Kyoto more. But the Hotel is really close to Omiya Station, almost right next to it, just go pass 7-11 and you are at the gate of the station. The room is clean, I’ve been aware of small hotel room, but it actually really comfortable, the room even have a bath tub and I just keep wondering how is it even possible !! Such a great room with full of satisfaction and comfort ! I’ll definitely stay here again in my next Kyoto trip !!

They cannot work about the refund thing. But it’s my situation and I really understand them. So it’s nothing here at all.

1) the staff - thank you for accommodating my request and adhere to it diligently without any hesitation. 2)room ( thank you very much for giving me free upgrade because of my status with booking which not all hot does that - your hotel is one of the free and make you my favourite). 3) location - next to hankyu railway n police station ( felt so safe walking back late at night because there is always policemen guarding inside the station )

Bed and pillow were very comfortable. The hotel was very central, close to all means of transportation (bus stop and subway station 1 min walk). There’s a coffee machine (for 100 ienes), which was super convenient.

The window glass was not seetrough and unable to be opened. The room wasn’t perfectly cleaned (there was some dust accumulated in some places). Be careful because if you leave something on the bed, room service won’t make your bed.

Well located near lots of restaurants and cafes, and many busses go by that take you to Kyoto station, including the JR bus that's covered by the JR pass if you are using the train pass and Kyoto as your base. Staff are very friendly and while the room is very small - it's mostly well-designed and equipped. They provide everything you need for toiletries including toothbrushes, towels, wash clothes and even pyjamas. Noise doesn't travel much between the rooms which is nice for a big hotel (and not always the case.) It's very very clean and I always appreciate an 11am checkout (when so many in Japan are 9 or 10 am.)

It would have been nice if there was some storage option for clothing. Even just some shelves on the wall or even drawers under the beds - the small space feels even smaller if your clothing has to be everywhere because there is nowhere to put it!

Location is superb. Very close to subway , train , bus stations. Also very close to Arashiyama train station. The hotel staff is very good and very helpfull. Hotel is very clean.

Our rooms do not have any gsm signal and wifi was not working properly on 6th floor. Still hotel provided private router for both of our rooms and our wifi was great after that. Still , cant have a gsm signal in the middle of the city is not ok.

great location and well connected with rest of Kyoto. neat and clean property. nice seating area downstairs
