Room: slightly bigger than some we've stayed at in Japan which was a bonus, it was really clean too and the bathroom was nice. Staff: quiet but friendly. Location: great, we could walk everywhere and were close to metro lines. There was a free to use coffee machine in the lobby which was a bonus, and you could use umbrellas in the lobby too.

The pillows were strange - really lumpy and hard on one side. There was no free water or water dispenser.

The staff were super friendly and hospitable! The hotel is located in a nice laid-back neighbourhood but close to transit and convenience stores. The room was very nice and clean, along with a spacious tub. The atmosphere in the hotel was very peaceful and comfortable. Something that stuck out about the hotel was the way it smelled, which was awesome. There's some sort of home fragrance in the lobby and elevator, and both smelled amazing.

Some members of the staff had limited knowledge of English, there were noisy tenants to the adjacent room, but the staff effectively dealt with the situation, the pillows were quite uncomfortable,

Good location, walking distance from Nishiki market and about 30 min walk from Kyoto station. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Room was bigger than average we have stayed in Japan and bed was super comfortable. Lots of amenities and free coffee and tea in the lobby. Very comfortable stay

Great value for money. Everything you could want for such a good price. Very clean and tidy. Good location with cafes and restaurants with great food around the corner. Taxi to main attractions and train is not expensive.

Our bus got to Kyoto at 5.30am and they would not let us check in until 3pm. I think it's good to be a bit more flexible and accommodate people's needs.

Excellent room. 2 double beds!. Huge window. Good airconditioner. Clean towels every day. Location near Omiya station. Loads of buses. Plenty of little convenience stores nearby. Amazing value for money.

It was a bit odd. Unimpressive facade, small hotel, and just down a little side street. No hotel facilities at all. Often noone at front desk! So certainly nothing inspiring.

I loved the location, it was so quiet but still close to the metro station! The room was perfect for two people, so comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I absolutely loved my stay and would recommend to my friends if they are visiting Kyoto!

Found a broken glass shard under the bed, I felt that this could have been caught if they vacuum under the bed

It was a fabulous Japanese house with all the amenities one could desire. We're VERY PLEASED with the house and handling of the reservation. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to others!!!👍👍👍👏😎

Walked everything but noted that it would probably be cold in the winter and as an old style Japanese house, I wouldn't want to be there in a significant earthquake 🤣😎

Staff are helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. Staff arranged a larger room for us as the staff noticed that we were carrying 2 large luggage. Thanks for that, we have more space to place our luggage. Free coffee is provided next to the lift.
