The staff went out of their way to be helpful, showed me how and where to catch a taxi, helped with my luggage storage, and lent me a charger for my phone. The hotel itself is a few steps away from the train station and a whole network of bus stops. It is a manageable walk from Kyoto station if you only have a backpack, otherwise just a couple of stops on the bus, and only 1800yen by taxi. also a 10 minute walk, or 2 bus stops from downtown Kyoto. The breakfast was Japanese style and quite filling without being extravagant. It did come with bottomless coffee, tea, and juice, which was also great.

I would have liked a bath but didn't expect one.

Clean centrally located hotel. Provide basic amenities. Excellent shower, comfortable bed. Tip : The hotel is walkable from a bus stop ( Shijo Horikawa) and Tram Line ( Shijo omiya, take tram from here to go to Arashiyama). This makes it easy to commute to all tourist spots. There is a Family Mart convenience store and Sukhiya restaurant ( for night time bite) nearby.

Even for a Japan business hotel standards, the room was a tad too compact. Difficult to unpack two trolleys. Have to be creative with space utilisation. :) Please have a kettle in the room. Maybe in a small shelf above the small sitting area in the room. After a long cold autumn day, some warm water is a welcome relief!

We really enjoyed staying at this place - the location is very convenient as you have train station (Omiya) as well as restaurants, supermarket, convenient store etc all a few steps away or in walking distance. The room is rather large (compared to most Japanese hotels) and the large bed very comfy. You can walk to Kawaramachi and also to Nijojo (Nijo Castle). The area is also perfect if you like to do morning jogging/walking. Staff speaks English and was very helpful. Online Checking easy to use. I liked the breakfast although some people might still feel hungry afterwards, but I can see that they try to avoid food waste. And there are plenty of places nearby in case you'd need some more breakfast. Also they care about the quality of the food which is appreciate - quality over quanity! I will book this place again when in Kyoto next time.

Nothing to complain about.

Staff was perfect. Friendly, efficient ! Congratulations to them. The laundry machine is excellent. Lobby is nice. You can work there. Rooms were very clean. Breakfeast is free, but quite decent. You have to pay for coffee, about 1 euros, and you get a 1 euro coffee, with free refill. Location is practical, plenty of shops nearby. Many bus lines intersect there.

Nothing important, but a few unpleasant details, at least for an European taste : having to check in and out using computers is annoying. You had a long trip, you are tired, do you really want to have to fight a computer that don’t recognize you because you inherited a hyphen in your name ? Maybe with Asian names this does not happens, but with weird Portuguese or French rules, it happens quite often I presume. Staff was helpful. Why do we have to take elevator ? The doors of stairs were closed. Nothing very serious.

This was our most favorite hotel during our latest trip. We stayed in 5 hotels all throughout Japan and we loved this hotel the most. The hotel is quite new and the facilities are modern. The room was big compared to the normal rooms in Tokyo. The toilet and shower rooms are separated which we liked. Even a separate area for a wash basin mainly for washing your face or brushing your teeth. The hotel has its own laundry space as well and you can access availability of the machines via the TV in your room. You can also check the progress of your wash as it shows how much time is left until the washer is done. It's right next to a JR line exit and walking distance to the subway lines. A handful of convenience stores nearby as well.I was able to enjoy a leisurely walk to some sites from the hotel as it's also walking distance.i just checked Google to see which sites are close by. The hotel provides 2 bottles of water free as well and the daily breakfast is nice. It's not a breakfast buffer rather they give you a tray with the meal..much like a school lunch if you will. The staff are all so very nice and kind. Always helpful with queries and stuff. All in all a very nice hotel to stay with and looking forward to staying here again when we come back.

I like the toilet and bathroom separated in hotel room. The space is generous and we stay next to the lift lobby, which we can just arrive without walking further😆 The water is strong enough and it was very comfortable while I need to wash my hair. The room even provides satellite TV chanel where I can watch Anime. Not to mention, the hotel also provides coin laundry, free ice cubes machine and beverage vending machine at 2nd floor. I like the part where we can check the live time of vending machine being used, the hotel truly cares about the guest so we wouldn't need to wait at laundry room for laundry washing / drying. The location is central, it is not too far from Kyoto Town as well as Shizumi temple. It is just opposite the Omiya subway Station.

The breakfast set is japanese style, but the dishes remain the same everyday I stay throughout. The portion is just nice to me but not to others especially man.

Rooms are small but the managed to fit 2 people and 2 big bags without hassle. Excellent water pressure in the shower. We liked the automated features of the hotel. They cannot send the bags away for you but they are happy to help with filling in the forms - the Family Mart 5 houses down the street, leaving from the hotel door to the left, is a Yamato pick-up point.

The included breakfast was the same menu everyday, with tea and miso soup included - any other kind of coffee combination is paid separately. The other half of this couple has food restrictions so we ended up having another breakfast session outside. You cannot eat your own food in the common area at the ground floor - there are many signs about it. We seldom saw people using those desks or sofas.

The hotel is perfect. It's very clean and new. Very well maintained and their staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are well provided such as kettle for rent, hair dryer, toiletries and laundry services and they have netflix on tv ! It is quite cool to be able to check the status of the washing machines through your room tv so that you can plan your washing. The rooms are not small, space is sufficient and stable free wifi. Free bottled water too.

The location is at the far end of the main shopping district, you need to walk about 15mins to the nearest station. The free breakfast is of small portion and you cannot choose what to eat. The washing machines are too popular you have to queue up as there are only 3 machines serving the whole block.

Very modern, nice decor, great toilets / rainfall shower head, good amenities when you arrive, location was easy to walk to Nishiki market and other places, they have lockers to store luggage before and after check in/out, good washer / dryers, train station / buses literally 3 min walk, plenty of coffee / dinner spots / combini near by.

The aircon unit in our room was realllllly loud, it felt like we were in a wind tunnel every time we used it which was annoying because it’s warm at the time of visit. The free breakfast was just OK, if your on a budget it’s fine but otherwise we skipped it after one try.

Was in the perfect location. Only 15min away from Gion by train, with the train station only being a 3-4min walk. And also near the train line that takes you to Arashiyama bamboo grove. We didn't know about the Arashiyama train but it was such a pleasant surprise. It was also near many coffee shops and food places, both sit down and convenient stores. They have complimentary lockers that you can place your bags before and after check out. Made it very convenient to explore the city. They also had complimentary waters, pjs, toothpaste, etc all at check-in. And also self-laundry available on site. The rooms were a little snug but it had everything you needed. Nice size bed, desk, sink, good sized shower with nice water pressure and was very quiet. We were only a couple floors up and slept very soundly. The staff is also very friendly. The check-in process was via a kiosk but the staff was there to help in case of any questions. We didn't get around to trying to the breakfast, but it was packed when we checked out in the morning around 9am! Very popular. So get there on the earlier side for sure.
