The location is good. Only 3 stops from Kyoto main station by MRT. Hotel is only 3 min walk from Jujo station. Hotel also provides pick up and drop off service between Kyoto station and the hotel once per hour. Hotel is quite new. Our twin room is very big.

Everything was very good. Except our room got a strange smell. I can’t describe what was it. Smell like burned plastic. I asked the receptionist to come if she can tell. Anyway, nothing can be done. Hotel was fully booked. We can’t change rooms. I am not sure if other room has the same smell. This hotel is quite new. Maybe the smell is from the interior materials.

Excellent hotel in a nice a quiet location. The room in true Japanese style was exceptionally clean and no smoke smell at all. Fast wifi and a vending machine room on each floor too. All the standard amenities and if you run out you can just go grab some more from the lobby on each floor. Large carpark and reasonable parking fee with unlimited entry and exits. The hotel is located away from the traditional busy areas in Kyoto but still within 2 min of a subway stop and they also have a shuttle bus to Kyoto station that runs fairly frequently. The restaurant looked good but wasn't open during our stay. I hear it services good breakfast.

The hotel itself was excellent but there wasn't that many places directly around the hotel to go for a meal but the subway station is only 2 min away so easy access to Kyoto station and all the food options you could ever need.

The room was very nice and spacious. The train and bus station is a minute walk away from the hotel. Convenience stores were close as well. The neighbourhood of the hotel was quiet. The best part was the onsen.

Modern and large (by Japanese standards) room. The area around the hotel is not as bad as some other reviewers might have you think - not a lot going on close by but not too far from Kyoto's highlights - in fact, we ended up walking to Fushimi Inari.

They were running late at check-in and when we got in the room, we found some cleaning materials still laying around. Even so, I am not sure how thorough the clean was, since we found a pair of socks under one of the armchairs a day later.

Comfy room, public bath, helpful staff, free shuttle bus available (can be used every day if you want to go to the station) the timetable is on the website, tasty breakfast mainly Japanese but international options

* Very new, in great condition. Rooms are clean, and larger than your usual business hotel rooms. * Food is nice, if a bit too pricy. * Good location. Jujo station is nearby and it's easy to get to the city centre with the metro. Otherwise Fushimi Inari and Tofukuji are in walking distance. There are convenience stores nearby, and the area is quiet.

* Last entry for breakfast is at 9 though it closes at 10. In most other places (especially since this, too, is a buffet) there's only like a 30 minute gap.

Spacious room as a economic hotel. Clean and tidy and natural light from big window in the room. Close to Kyoto Metro 十條 station. I don’t think it’s necessary to stay around 四條 or 京都 station because the metro and traffic is quite simple and straightforward in Kyoto. It’s just 3 or 4 metro stations away from the core in city‘s center.

The hotel was better than we expected. It’s like a little gem and full of surprise. A 5 star experience on a budget. Fresh towels provided everyday, super comfy bed, clean and spacious room complemented with a beautiful public bath that has cubicle for shower. There’s also bath in the room. Toiletries provided at reception. We can see Kyoto Tower from our room. Ramen shop opposite the hotel. Family Mart, 7 11 and Lawson within walking distance.

It’s located away from main attraction. There’s not much to do within immediate walking distance. However there’s hotel shuttle bus that runs through to Kyoto station (though it was down 2 days out of 5 we were there). There’s a subway entrance just 2 min walk away and we used that a lot. Money wise it’s worth staying here and use public transport to the main attractions.

Room was fairly clean, good breakfast with a variety of options (both Japanese and Western options). It's a 2 minute walk from Jujo metro station, so it's really easy to travel from here. We loved the hotel's public bath, it has a nice size considering the hotel's size. Very clean and it was amazing that it had 2 tubs, one normal and another with carbonated water. It was a nice way to relax after a long day walking around Kyoto. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

The hotel is great, has nice facilities and amenities and is close to a metro and train stations. However, if you're looking for a variety of entertainment and restaurantes nearby/within walking distance, there weren't many options. It is located in a more residential area, but this was not an issue for us.

Location was amazing, about 2-3 minute walk to the subway entry and around a 20 minute walk to Fushi Inari Shrine. If you choose to, Kyoto station IS walkable in about 20-25 minutes depending on how fast you walk, path you take and if you catch the lights right. Had a view of Kyoto Tower from my room which was amazing to see at night. Staff helped fill out the Yamato luggage shipping paperwork and allowed me to check my luggage before check in so I could walk around. The Laundry is 300 yen for the washer and had no extra fee for the dryer, detergent was included. Lawson's, 7-11 and a Domino's all within 2-4 minute walk. There was also a cute little shop in the lobby open certain hours during the day (this is where you will do your luggage shipping at).

The AC unit was very temperamental and it took me a few days to finally understand how to get it working to my liking, the room wasn't very quiet from outside noise (I could hear horns, music, motorcycle engines, and a few other things from the street on the 4th floor) or hall noise if your neighbor's stood outside talking but room to room noise was really decently quiet. Bed was firm, there wasn't a lot of give to the mattress but after a few days I got used to it but still couldn't sleep fully through the night.
