It is a great location just a few blocks away from the Karasuma line or the Keihan main line (easy access to all of Kyoto and even Nara). It's very close to the station for food as well. Very easy to check-in and checkout despite being unmanned and easy to get new towels or trashbags if needed. Very nice Japanese bathroom with good amenities. In unit washing machine and drying hanger (for use either outside or with the drying mode of the shower room fan)

The wifi was a bit slow, and a dining table would have been a lot more useful than a coffee table. The couch was a bit crummy as well. No dish brush/dish sponge was available, so I had to buy those myself. Key is not on a large chain so you have to be extremely careful you don't lose it.

We loved that the room had a washing machine and drying room function on the bathroom so we could do our washing in the evening and have it dry by the morning. Room was not the biggest but had a tv and small couch along with 2 double beds. Others have mentioned no fresh towels but we were able to put out our dirty towels in the basket provided along with any rubbish for housekeeping to replace.

Bathroom was very small and made it hard to access the toilet without sitting sideways, though the connected shower room which was large.

We got a good deal, which made it a value for money offering. Ample space for suitcases and such. One issue we faced was the geyser was slightly challenging to figure out especially in the absence of on-premise staff. But even after figuring out how to operate it, it wasn't delivering continuous warm water even when waiting for an hour after starting it.

Although it was an unmanned hotel, we did see a couple of employees there (caucasians). Their behaviour was slightly strange because they looked almost uncomfortable by our presence and were reluctant to even return our smile.

It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It had everything that was needed for a multi-night stay, though we were only there for one. It was nice to have the elevators to be able to move the suitcases.

It is the only place of three in the same city that we have had to pay tourist tax, unless the other two included it in the price. Also, the stairs were being used as storage, but were still at least navigable.

We had a great price for a comfy stay in a good location. Table, sofa and TV in room, with working air conditioner/heater. Staff bring clean towels to the apartment every day.

Only minor complaints, like charging docks far from the bed, hot water takes a while to get going, tap water tastes very chlorinated. Don't try to walk from Tofukuji station at night, you have to go via a shady highway underpass, approach from Kyoto instead!

Great location, plenty of space in the apartment. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and a bus stop. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable! There was also a kitchen and a washing machine, very useful!

We had some trouble with the hot water, as it would sometimes turn off in the middle of the shower. However, we think that happened because we turned on the hot water system right before using it. Maybe they could have left it already turned on, but, regardless, it didn't ruin our experience and we would definitely come back again

It felt like a true Kyoto apartment living experience. We were initially a little thrown off that there’s no staff but after that it just helped us feel like locals. Some amazing food and coffee spots around kujo. Super short walk to the main train station so we felt connected to everything. The apartment have everything we needed and more, enough room for us and our toddler to spread out. The laundry facilities was a massive plus

Only that the lift was a bit daggy

We come as family and we book 2 rooms. All the facilities are complete and the rooms are big! Actually its look like a studio house and what I really love is, the room got washing machine & dryer which suitable for those who have a long trip in Japan. Got microwave and electric stove for those who want to cook.

Its big, and clean. It’s a good place if you are planning to stay for longer days. Has microwave, stove, refrigerator, washing machine and dryer. Its self check in.

Not much restaurants in the area. You have to go to Kyoto station. It is a residence with no reception area.

Great choice when staying in Kyoto. The close location to the station is very convenient when sightseeing in and around Kyoto. There is also a bus stop a couple steps away. The staff tried to help wherever they could and made our stay very pleasant.
