The hotel was a delight for our stay in Kyoto. It is smallish, charming hotel, balancing Japanese aesthetics with modern needs. The room was very spacious with a comfortable seating area. The bathroom had a great shower, something very important for the two of us. Its location was perfect for what plans we had in Kyoto. The staff was delightful.

There is no dining area in the hotel, so breakfast is served in the room. While we chose the western option, it was very similar each of the 5 days we were there.

Amazing room, incredibly spacious for Japanese standards. Included coffee machine was very appreciated to sit down in the couch and relax after an intense day of tourism in Kyoto. Staff are incredible and make you feel right at home from the start. The hotel lounge is elegantly decorated and enhances the check-in and check-out experience. Location is very good (although depending on your interests in Kyoto, may not be the absolute best). Great coffee places and restaurants to be found in the neighborhood (or even right outside the hotel!). Would definitely stay here again, some day.

Everything!!! The room was big with all the facilities and a walk-in closet too. Enough space to store 3 suitcases. Nespresso was a nice touch for morning coffee's 😀

Room was really spacious and well-thought out lay-out. Location was pretty walkable to attractions such as Nijo castle, old Imperial palace.etc Hotel overall felt classy and well maintained, really enjoyed my time here. The nearby Karasuma subway line was useful in travelling around Kyoto as well.

Location had to walk a little in, and can get confusing without navigational tool.

Although this boutique hotel is situated in a back street in Sanjo, the hotel is surprisingly convenient to get to. it is walking distance from Subway station. Close to 锦市场。good food nearby and absolutely away from crowds. room size is enormous and fully equipped.

it took a while to locate and got to it when first arrived. then it I was easy.

Nice, clean and spacious room, with tea and coffee facilities. Nice public area and super friendly staff. We stayed one extra night!

Unfortunately there was no nice view from the window.

the room was so comfy, the beds were like sleeping on clouds! the staff was very helpful and got us dinner reservations last minute. the lobby was also beautiful.

the location wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't super close to a lot of the highlights. I guess I should have planned for that better. but that meant that it was fairly quiet.

Wonderfully kind staff, large and clean rooms, and a great vibe. This was by far the best affordable hotel we've ever been in. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality!

The location isn't incredible, but honestly, everything else is so great that it didn't even matter that much.

We tried both Japanese and European breakfast, which both tasted good. If anything, the European breakfast could have been a bit larger, for examle including also yoghurt or cereal.

No dislikes.
