Nice modern hotel with good size room and beds for three full size people. Reasonably central with easy access to buses to most major attractions.

Airco made a lot of noise, and wifi didn't work, but both were resolved swiftly when notified to reception.

The hotel is conveniently located. The bus from the train station stops right in front of it. The hotel is small but offers everything that one needs. Very clean! We had a large room, unusual for my experience with other hotels in JP. They do not offer breakfast. Housekeeping cleaned the room only once during our 5 days stay. Additional cleaning needs to be paid for. Towels are only changed if you put a sign out. I think this is a plus! I can fluff up my own sheets and do not require new towels every day. Keeps the cost down and is better for the environment.

Our room was facing the street, it is very noisy during the night, because motorcycles use the street as a race track at night!

Very cosy room. Friendly and helpful, pretty fluently English speaking stuff. The hotel is decorated pleasantly; looking chick yet simple. Coffee maker provided with two coffee capsules, nice mugs and sugar, comfortable bed , but only two pillows so we had to ask for more , nice bathroom with a separate toilet. Lovely cosmetics provided. Located only few stops by bus number 9 and 28 from the Kyoto station. Water and ice available at the second floor. As well as the washing machine and a dryer.

Unfortunately the hotel is situated at the busy road so the noise can be unbearable for a light sleeper in a room facing the street. We didn’t sleep well , however the hotel provides free of charge ear plugs available from the stand at the reception. The hotel doesn’t provide a room cleaning service if the stay is 3 nights or less . It doesn’t bother us but we had to be in charge of taking the rubbish out by ourselves and asking for new coffee capsules for the next morning. Bear in mind you will be charged for additional coffee capsules.

it was my second time staying here, though no breakfast, but close to nearby convenience store and local shops. love the huge room and the cozy atmosphere. travel alone, but got myself a family room, because the price is so great, easily staying for 6 nights.

way too cheap, and i am so afraid that if the lousy people of no-human right big country of east asia found out this great place would certainly lower its quality. the hotel did not make a clear political statement to prevent it. As the hotel holds UN SDGs policy, i think a simple sign with 'No Xinjiang Cotton" would do the trick.

The room was much larger than we expected. We were using this location as a base for several one-day excursions, and it was terrific. We had plenty of room to completely unpack as there was plenty of closet and storage space. The bathroom was large with two sinks! and a separate toilet room. The room came stocked with a container to refill with purified water from a dispenser located on one of the floors. We refilled it frequently, and it was so nice knowing that we were not using single-use plastic containers. The only drawback was the location. It isn't surrounded by restaurants and is just a little too remote for walking. However, the bus stop is right in front of the building, and the street is busy enough to catch a cab.

The Staff were amazing, very polite and they would do anything to make your stay comfortable. Big thank you for all staff members. Filtered water ,microwave, ice machine and coin operated washing machine/dryer in level 2 for common use. Very spacious with Japanese standards. We walked to Kyoto station every morning (25 minutes) and it was a pleasant walk. However if you can’t walk, there are buses and Taxi fare was $10. Close by markets but not restaurants

Not enough instruction for non Japanese speaking people. Not that we needed it , but we noticed that Fire exit access is locked and had Japanese instructions how to open it. Would have loved an English tv channel . The street was little bit noisy at night but the hotel provide earplugs.

The room was large and equipped with every facility. Its furnitures were new and functional. Quiet and stylish room. The style is its strong point. Soap, shampoo, hair dryer, safe, kettle, shoe horn, pajamas were available in the room. A toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, etc. (but not coffee or similar) were available in the hall. The location is convenient for reaching all the main points of Kyoto (which, having no real center, requires some compromise). Again, the furnishings and functionality of the room is worth the stay (just for that).

The hotel is completely satisfactory and in the strong points above it would be worth 10. It's a pity that it has large room for improvement about communication (they replied to my email of 3 weeks before via Booking after I left the hotel) and that in 5 days of stay I have never seen a person at the reception desk (just during the check-in that I made at 21:30 with a special request). There was no adapter for European plugs (unlike some other hotels I stayed in during my trip to Japan) - not a big deal, if you have the power adapter.

First night I had a really bad sleep because we took a standard room, the bed was too small for our taste. I asked for an upgrade which they gave at no extra charge! The room we got was extraordinary, beautiful and spacious. It could have not been better after that.

Be aware that specially on weekends the fast and furious people from Kyoto will race on the avenue next to it making some noise with their cars. The hotel does offer free earplugs to deal with it..

Bigger than average room in Japan, very clean and tidy. Amenities well provided and there was also extra to take (if needed) at common area.

The location is quite a distance to all the main areas. Coming from subway also required a long walk (didn’t expect the 8 mins walk was that long) and crossing a giant bridge, it is very taxing with luggage and especially w elderly. However taxi is convenient but most of them had no idea where the hotel was even w address shown to them

In a perfect position for getting around Kyoto. Two very good bus routes right outside the door and a subway station down the road. Very clean, neat and comfortable rooms, excellent shower/bath and separate loo. It does not do breakfast but there are two very nice places nearby (Royal Host and the Kyoto Tokyo Hotel - the latter slightly pricier than the first but we’ll worth the money). Highly recommended. PS: wander around the back streets nearby for some very nice little places for supper
