Great staff, very friendly cleaners, good work. They made my bed in the cutest way every by tucking the blanket to my toy Usapyon. We used takyubin (address delivery of luggage) in Japan and sent our suitcases all the way from our hotel in Tokyo to Urban Kyoto Premium. It is the only hotel that actually brought our luggage to the room before our arrival. Or probably it was because we upgraded to a premium room. Either way nice service. Speaking of onsen, I loved the lifting gel provided.

I originally found a room here on Booking by filtering by "soundproof rooms" "twin room". I made a booking of a twin room with two separate beds, which was confirmed on the pictures. However at the time of check in the staff informed us that we are getting a double king size bed. That was awfully unexpected. However by paying 14000 yen on top for three nights our room was upgraded to premium twin room with two separate beds. The location is not very convenient - 10 min walk from the subway station or 25 min walk from Kyoto station. Not horrible to me, but walking with suitcases on you is inconvenient.

Spotless, very comfortable and beautiful rooms. Onsen was great, breakfast was very good - a good mix of Japanese and some Western options. I made an error during booking which was rectified by booking.com and the property after a couple of emails - thank you. Much appreciated. We rented bikes from hotel - what a wonderful way to see Kyoto.

A misunderstanding about buffet breakfast for my children: I thought the children’s breakfasts were included since we paid for 4 beds (2 adults and 2 children). The property did have a note that if the children sleep with their parent then the breakfast is not included. I assumed this meant that if children were sleeping in the same bed but this proved not to be the case. It is worth checking this detail if you are sharing a room with your child/children as buffet costs can add up. Whilst reception staff were in general capable and helpful this level of knowledge/ability was not consistent across staff.

- The rooms were clean, comfortable and pretty. Bathroom was spacious, comfortable, and very pretty as well. - Tea, Microwave, water with lemon and cofee in the lobby were a nice gesture. - We took the breakfast and they were absolutely delicious! Everything! Also exceptional, european-style buns! I highly recommend! Also, well organized and comfortable. - Ammenities were not in the room, but you could take as much as you want. Conviniently placed next to the elevator. This is a great idea and ecological. - Onsen with bubbles was nice. Very clean and well-maintained.

- Onsen was nice and clean, but much smaller than anticipated. The photo was taken at a convinient angle making it appear twice its size.

The rooms were Western type so spacious, fantastic shower, and the onsen was lovely, but I think the men had a better view out of their window!

On a very busy wide road, you could hear the road noise, to be honest it didn't bother us but our friends that had the room next door found it a bit noisy, sometimes you had to wait quite a while for the lift, especially in the morning if there was a large party staying there, and also it could do with more washing machines, sometimes people would leave there washing on and go out of the day, or all evening, if you told the staff they would take it out so you could use one, but they really should not have to do that !! But they were only little things nothing to really spoil your holiday.

Spacious bedroom, clean. Staff is super friendly and even if you wake up late and miss housekeeping, they still offer you clean towels. Also, power point, this was just AMAZING, I counted 8 power points in the bedroom, including the bedside one, great to charge everything you need overnight.

Onsen is not recommended if you have tattoo, but I did not see this information anywhere prior to booking, only was informed on my arrival. I still reasoned with them about having a small tatto and they allowed me to use the onsen.

There should be more variety in food on different days. Special orders such as pizza are a great choice.

Too many breakfast rules kill the desire to eat. You should bring a specific voucher for each day. There is an extreme difference in temperature from outside to inside. The staff places you where they think is good for you and not where you want. You cannot take breakfast from the hotel to your room in case you are tired from the trip or sick, but you can freely eat food from another restaurant or market. Makes no sense?!

The hotel is modern and clean, and the room I reserved was spacious and also modern and clean. The shower was wonderful, as was the king-sized bed. There is a restaurant downstairs, but I did not eat there, although the food looked decent. There is free coffee downstairs, and it was pretty good! Much better than what's around the hotel (read below). There are convenience stores close by, and quite a few restaurants about 10 minutes away. Although there is a ramen place a few doors down, I recommend walking a bit further and exploring the eateries. Bungalow, a craft beer place with very good yakitori, was a pleasant find. (Read below for a piece of advice when restaurant-hunting.)

The hotel is quite a distance from the nearest train station, and the walk was brutal due to the 35-degree weather. By the time I reached the hotel, I was close to heat exhaustion. -Regarding coffee, I DO NOT recommend Astrea, the coffee brewer around the corner. Extremely stuck-up staff and strange-tasting, overly-posh coffee served in wine glasses. PASS on this place--the hotel coffee is much better...and cheaper. Or go to 7-11 for some decent brew. ANYthing but Astrea. -Regarding restaurants, be prepared to either speak some Japanese or have an electronic translator ready. Even then, you might be turned away at the door. I witnessed quite a few travelers being denied entry into several restaurants because they could not overcome the language barrier.

Helpful staff. We arrived before check in and left our bags that were delivered to our room by the time we returned. Everything clean and spotless. Beds very comfortable. Onsen clean and had it to myself. Perfect way to end the day. Just wish we'd ordered the breakfast with our rooms. We had to book 2 rooms for our family and they were co-located without asking.

About a 10 min walk from gojo or a 10-1500Y taxi ride from the main station. No adjoining door for 2 rooms.

Nice hotel, good amenities, decent location. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. I am especially indebted to one of the female receptionists (too bad I don't remember her name): she had to cope with a strange request of mine, and she fulfilled that in the most perfect manner.

The gym was basic. It is too small, and one of the machines needs maintenance. I found a sock in my room, probably from a previous guest. I hope this doesn't imply anything about the cleaning process.

This hotel was one of the most comfortable we used during our 3 weeks trip in Japan -spacious ( for Japanese standard) room with big comfy beds( we booked deluxe king room) -very good breakfast with a lot of options -communal bath and sauna in the price of the room -the hotel looks brand new and was very clean -the bathroom was equipped with standard multifunctional Toto toilet and spacious shower glass cabin -yukata in the room -hot coffee downstairs accessible to the guests all the time - washing /drying machines available for the guests
