The room was very comfortable and we really liked the traditional little table (chabutai) and the seats with no legs (zabuton)! The floor had tatami. It had a really nice feel to it. We slept in actual beds, very comfortable too. The bathroom was great, hot water with a lot of pressure. Smart toilet, very cool. The location was 15min to the center by foot.

The only thing that we didn t like was the price. It was really expensive.

The room was stylish and cute, we had a tatami area and a small Japanese garden outside. All the furniture was well maintained and the most important the place was super clean. The guest house is perfectly located: you can enjoy calmness of small Kyoto streets and it is just 20 minutes walk to the Nishiki Market area full of hustle and bustle. The staff was very friendly and helped to make our time in Kyoto amazing.

A nice, simple guest house. Nothing over the top but it was pleasant to stay there.

I felt the place is somewhat overpriced since it was pretty minimalistic. I have been in Japan and in Kyoto in particular many, many times so my expectations were well-measured. The room had the usual amenities but those were kinda minimal as well. For instance, I had to ask for a bathrobe, it was not in the room when I arrived. The site description mentioned 'a garden' and 'shared kitchen area' which were not offered/available. Overall, if it was priced cheaper, I would be 100% ok with the stay.

Good customer service as the staff direct us to the nearest laundry service. They gave us a quick tutorial using the drying and washing machine. The room gives off an authentic and japan vibe because of the style of the room. The room is clean and nice and well-maintained. It is located near the famous streets of central Kyoto. It's convenient and accessible to different location.

Very clean room and spacious, with tons modern facilities in room, new model of AC, air purifier, self-heat and cleaning toilet seat.

During Check-in, we got charged for extra 1200 yen as the "accommodation charge" on the spot. The staff helped us to check in was really difficult to communicate. Not quite sure if he knows what he was doing. We could hear the foot steps and shower form the room upstair in the morning.

It was along a quiet street. The room was a good size and it even had a balcony. Everything was clean and the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. They let us check in early which was so kind.

There isn’t too many options for restaurants around. You do have to venture a little out to find stuff, but it isn’t a far walk from transit or from convenience stores.

Yukari Kyoto is located near the subway, and the neighborhood is very quiet. There is a supermarket and a convenience store nearby. The rooms were not very big, but they were clean and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly.

The three-person room may not have enough space for luggage.

Traditional Kyoto feel of the room. And the early check-in which we really appreciate. Owners were very nice.

Location, but it is not the property’s fault, so no big deal. Also the room size is quite small, it is hard to move around when you have 2 big luggage each for a couple. We still had a good 4N stay though.

Modern-traditional style which was nice. Whenever we needed the personnel, they helped us immediately. Bathroom was in good condition and comfortable.

Walking distance from interesting places was 20 minutes at least and the room was a bit smaller then expected, don’t bring too much luggage and you’ll manage.

The traditional tatami room was lovely and the futon was very comfy. The room had a very pleasant traditional Japanese vibe. Location was handy to reach Nishiki markets, and it isn't too far Kyoto main station - just 20mins walk.

The guesthouse is often unmanned. This may make it tricky to deal with any difficulties.
