Onsen facilities are amazing. The best onsen in Japan IMO. Two levels B1 and B2 are loaded with hot pools, saunas, rest areas, entertainment pools, outdoor hot pools. Comparing to other hotels with onsens in Japan this one is the shining star. Restaurant is beautiful with 10m panoramic windows all around you. Fresh fish, nagiri, sashimi, meat, etc. were outstanding. Taking into account the price is reasonable you will not be disappointed.

A little bit far away from skiing area. However, rental car solved the issue. Rooms in the 'old' wing are quite outdated.

Huge Hotel located near to Jozankei Bridge with Soba shop, Family Mart & Lawson nearby. Our twin room was huge and came with 2 king size beds. Beds were too soft for my liking and surprisingly for a huge bed there was only 1 pillow. The complimentary cookie snacks tasted good. Channels were mainly Japanese. We had a nice view of the Toyahira River from the window. There was a complimentary 1.5L of bottled water in the refrigerator which was rare in Hokkaido hotels as the tap water is drinkable so most hotel wouldn't provide that. Toiletries were well-equipped but the bathroom was small and squeezy for such a huge room. Onsen changing room was huge but the Onsen hot pools itself were not impressive. Maybe the Men's pool at that evening timing has the better location? The hotel has a arcade, swimming pool and a huge souvenir shop. Breakfast and Dinner was enjoyable coz there were impressive varieties of food, mainly Japanese but some Viet and Myanmese food. There was long queue for the Kaisen bowls. At the Dessert corner though there was only small cakes, fruits, yogurt & dried fruits. No pastries. Drinks stations were well placed in other corners near the seats other than the main station so it was easy to access when you want to top up. Was attended to by an brillant Indian staff at reception when I made enquiries in English on transport to Susukino. She provided clear information on the Jotetsu bus stop opposite & timings which we could wait after check-out. The other Japanese staff were polite and friendly as well. Will visit Jozankei again but will consider a hotel in a more central location near to the park :-) Some less crowded hotel perhaps ...lol

Dining Hall was crowded both at breakfast and Dinner. Many local tourist and Koreans. There were queues at every station. Fortunately the Hall was massive and there was plenty of seats. We enjoyed our stay there but the rain was a damper and we did not have the chance to walk to the Dam non to the Central Jozankei area to visit the temple and Gensen Park. The autumn leaves also has not totally fall in yet :(

The hotel is situated in a convenient location - just a couple minutes' walk from most attractions in Jozankei, including the Footbath of Friendship, Shira no Taki, and Gensen Park. We booked a traditional Japanese room which was equipped with comfortable futon beds. The futons were extremely warm and toasty even in the middle of winter.

The hot spring was rather disappointing for an onsen hotel, especially the outdoors bath. It was too small and the ventilation was terrible, meaning that the bath was so full of steam, visibility was only about 50 cm. It was also difficult to breathe due to all the steam. The buffet quality was so-so. Nothing special or exciting. The highlight of the buffet breakfast would probably be the kaisen-don (seafood rice), but as someone who isn't a fan, it really wasn't attractive at all. The desserts at dinner were absolutely horrendous, though. Not recommended. Best part was the free flow of soft drinks (melon soda, coke, calpis, etc) and orange juice.

Hotel and onsen were quite good . A lot of customers in the restaurant both breakfast and dinner. However the restaurant is very big enough and there were a lot of food stations enough to service customers. Food is quite good and varieties of choices. In December it is dark quickly and we did not want to go outside to have dinner. Buffet at hotel is suitable for us. The room was clean.

Free shuttle is not available for us. I tried to contact hotel to reserve seat 2 months in advance but there is no one to answer e mail.

The onsen's great and especially rotenburo (the outside bath)! It was snowing and the view was breath-taking. Great place to relax and slow down a bit~ Also it was a bit challenging to find baths that I wanted to go to. The place is like a maze 😅 But it was nice to have a map, which is provided after check-in

It would be nice to have an instruction or explanation how to wear yukatas for those who don't know

Everything was super nice, the view was excellent, the food was super good....100% recommend coming back again. Only thing if the faculty updated some will be 5 star.

The interior of the hallway need updated, painted, also onsen's ceiling, wall need updated too, although are very clean.

my spacious room and the view

onsen wasn’t very hot and 16th fl had limited space for bathing. also there was no true Japanese New Years mood. no such traditional music at all no crab legs this year but maybe because of Covid (economic reasons)

Very nice room. Comfortable futons. Quality towels, soap, yakata, etc The staff were very accommodating to us clueless foreigners.

Dinning room was very busy, however I think it was just us who weren’t used to this style of dinning.

Frankly speaking, the dinner was really disappointing. The breakfast is relatively ok.
