Art Deco style hotel.Very friendly staff.Room had a lot of space and the fixtures and fittings were interesting.A big bed. The local UDON for breakfast was excellent and the Ochazuke offered at night was good.

Hotel is too far from JR Takamatsu and is not recommended unless you plan to stay in the Kawaramachi area itself.Choice of drinks was adequate (but only 1 type of red/white/sparkling wine…and no gin) Selection of food was very basic and the library space has no view and can feel quite confined. Breakfast is a choice between a western & Japanese selection served at your table…it would have been nice to mix and match your favourite foodstuffs. The pillows in the room were not comfortable.

Location, bus outside to the hotel to the Ritsurin Gardens, and shopping a 5 minute walk. Surrounded by restaurants. Great guest longe with free red, white, and sparkling wine and Tapa's like japanese food from 6 to 10pm for free! Rooms were larger than most in Japan and extremely clean. Loved the big bath.Staff were amazing, so pleasant and helpful. Provided great information. CAB FROM STATION AND FERRT TERMINAL $7US.

The hotel has Lovely old-world charm and a level of service to match that you just don’t often see today. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable! The purpose for our stay was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I had contacted ahead of time and the head concierge had worked hard with lots of extra touches to make our stay memorable! Nothing was a problem and she went over and above to help make a memorable stay! The lounge was great and all the special food options they provide and we had a lovely dinner at the restaurant also!

I love thé feel of this hotel when I step into the lobby. I love thé art déco styling throughout the hotel. The exterior is rather plain - but … don’t let that fool you. The service is exceptional. Highly recommend “Club Level”. amazing value!! stellar breakfast (Japanese or western), tea time, bar time and cocktail time PLUS at 9 pm there is the most delicious ochazuke bar. all of these happen in the well styled “library” this was our second stay - and we made the trip 5 nights so that we could enjoy the hotel the concierge was so helpful with researching activités etc definitely a 5 star experience

It is a beautiful hotel in a central location in Takamatsu close to transport and shopping. The hotel has a traditional design and very well maintained. Even though i was traveling alone, I booked a standard double and it was fine. The staff are friendly and customer service was always top class. The breakfast was good - choice of western or Japanese waiter service + buffet for coffee, juice, bread and side dishes. Depending on your schedule the lounge is worth paying the supplement for if you are going to use it - comfortable, relaxing with free snack and drinks - a good place to chill after sightseeing and before going out. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would recommend it unreservedly.

Great location, just next to shopping streets and within walking distance to Port, castle ruins & garden. Use of lounge was a plus point. Lounge staff were very friendly & helpful . Breakfast was very good , especially the traditional Japanese one.

The double room was very tight for 2 persons, with the small double bed set against the wall . There was a smell coming from the toilet . Perhaps more attention to freshen up this area . Carpark was located across the street and quite inflexible even though it is charged to the guest . Once parked , using the car will incur additional charges and car also needs to be removed at check out time ( 11am) . This is not convenient at all to those driving .

The Staff were excellent but in particular Yukari. She was so very helpful she researched where I could by a Sim Card for my phone & a an acupuncture aide I couldn’t find. She even arranged to have the second item sent to our future destination. She is an absolute credit to Royal Park Hotel Takamatsu. We also loved the availability of Club Room Access which included lovely breakfasts, afternoon tea and evening drinks and nibbles.

* Location is just a few minutes walk from Kawaramachi station on Kotoden line (probably the coolest local train in Japan) * Close to so many restaurants * If you opt for booking lounge access, you get endless coffee + alcohol at night * Room is spacious by Japanese standards

* It would be great if they had washing machines (which is the norm for hotels in Japan) so that guests could choose to do laundry by themselves

lovely touch with the pajamas so so friendly people great location, near the train and near the arcade - the arcades are the best thing about Takamatsu as it is where all life happens The club was excellent for little (tiny) snacks and drinks

Couldnt work out how to cool the room Only one iron in the hotel so couldnt keep in room to iron shirts - instructions only in Japanese

The leathery-wooden decor of the hotel is lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. The tea & cocktail time treats in a library-style setting are a fine touch, great and enjoyable.

They don’t accept contactless payments, such as Apple Wallet, which made things a bit difficult for me. Breakfast is served in a lovely setting, but a predefined Japanese or ‘American’ menu limits your choices (and quantity) of the main dish (it’s a nice breakfast, just to be clear).
