The hostel is a short walk from the train station and they had super friendly staff there. Great atmosphere in the lobby/common area, with plenty of tourist info about Tokushima and various hiking routes (including the 88 temple route). Good privacy in the dormitory once you've closed your bunk curtain. Didn't try the breakfast though, not sure what it was like!

The dormitory beds were quite firm and uncomfortable, as I tend to prefer a softer mattress. Not exactly the most secure hostel (i.e. anyone can walk in from the street and the dormitory door was frequently unlocked) but fortunately this is Japan, so I didn't feel too insecure about my valuables. :)

The place is in a conveniently located part of town near the station, mall, riverside and nightlife district. The room itself was a standard business hotel room for that price range. The bed was weirdly soft, though. Not a bad thing though. The staff were nice and the shared space had a nice vibe - a shame my stay was too brief to really enjoy it. I wanted that breakfast... Damn ferry... Also they let me keep my bike on the first floor, cool!

The bath was not working at the time of.my visit and the toilet made a weird noise when flushing. The walls are thin - you'll hear everything if your neighbors are a bit loud even in a private room! Also the lack of stairs and only one elevator for six floors means a lot of waiting at times.

It was really nice to have breakfast available (it was boiled eggs, ham, cheese, instant soup, white bread, instant coffee and tea). The staff were friendly and helpful. I only stayed for a night and left early in the morning, but I can imagine a longer stay would be fun for people travelling alone too because the lobby area is built to encourage conversation:) Lot s of books and information in many languages about the area too. Also accommodates cyclists:) I had a single room with two beds which was great.

I get cold easily but because I was staying alone in a room with two beds I could take the blanket from another bed. If you get cold easily, I would ask ahead of time if it is possible to get more blankets or bring something extra.

Very cute place in the perfect location. It’s right in the middle between the train station, the lift up the mountain and the boat that will take you on a tour around the city. The futon is quite comfortable and some of the beds have a tiny window, which i found very enjoyable. Breakfast is also included: coffee, toast, cheese, eggs, marmelade and soup - which makes it also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

There’s only one toilet/shower on the floor. There are more downstairs on the entrance floor, but taking an elevator to go to the toilet is not very convenient. It’s a combined shower&toilet cabine, it would be really good to have separate facilities. The room is also quite loud, since there are lockers right next to the bed and the door lock is also extremely loud. It’s also not a self-locking door, so depending on your roommates, the door might be left unlocked a lot of the time. It’s still the cutest and cheapest place around, so if you only stay for one or two nights, i can still recommend booking.

I was in the capsule dormitory and that was perfect. Really calm. The beds were comforable. Everything was clean. I booked at first the mix dorm but since there was enough place in the female dorm the staff offer me to exchange and even to choose between lower bed and upper bed. The hostel is located in central city which makes it easy to go to tourist attractions. The breakfast was also good. It was toast and you could choose what to put on top (jam, egg, butter, ham, cheese).

Hostel in a good location, close to the station and a conbini. Staff was super nice and helpful. They allowed me to store my luggage while I was walking for a few days, which many hotels will refuse even if you will stay there again. It was nice that there was some breakfast offered for free (although not super filling).

It was somewhat uncomfortably warm in the dorms. Like everywhere in Japan, bathrooms are quite small. Lockers are only large enough to store a few small valuables, no (small) bags.

It was such as nice stay for three distinct reasons: First the price was very low and with it because the overall design, applications, cleanliness and service were very good. More than that actually. Secondly the design and care. The waiting area has books and games, all in a good wooden style with clean desks and an impression that someone really took care including the cute messages everywhere, Info material for the town and opportunity for doing laundry easy-peasy plus enough space in the room and sockets for your adapter. 3.) The service was very Kind, helpful and open. I more than liked it. So overall a Place in a Location near to station, nightlife and cultural sights which makes it a perfect location as well. Go and find something similar - it won‘t be easy I tell you.

The matrace is a bit soft - but everyone has own likings. So no worries.

I am so so grateful. I stayed for one night and had to check out very early in the morning to keep my luggage in the locker and catch the train. They kept the breakfast ready inside the fridge and told me to take that in the morning. I had my food bought from a convenience store anyway but I had the one they packed. It is a simple and nice breakfast that will get you full. The gesture was very sweet. BTW the breakfast menu was: cheese ham sandwich, a boiled egg, onion consome soup. <3 Thank for so much for the kindness and hospitality. They also have arrangements to keep your luggage after check out. I think on the first floor you can even rent bicycles. I did not so I cannot share much on that.

The stairs to the upper bunk bed are so flat, it hurts lol. But the bed itself was very comfy and there were 2 points in the power outlet so I could charge all of my devices quickly. The washroom in the female dormitory with the shower didn't have a bidet lol. Otherwise, I loved it for a one-night stay.

The double room was spacious and had a fridge, and very comfy and quiet memory foam mattress. Great for sneaking into bed after a baby is asleep. The staff were very helpful and and the floor level elevator is convenient. Included breakfast was a nice bonus. Well equipped kitchen.

Staff forgot to give us parking discount ticket and so we had to check out later than anticipated. Couldn’t take a bath (only shower) as a sign said not to put the stop in the drain. Not very soundproof. No problem for us but I felt bad for others as we had a baby. Toasters needed instructions.

good quite location. The common area is comfy and great to meet others, enjoy the free breakfast, and also rest, read or just check your phone.

the bottom bunks are not closed all the way to the top and that's ok, but it just depends on other guests'politeness, like someone turning on the light late at night . there was only one shower and toilet in the room, and again it's about guests - if someone spends like 30min inside you'll have to go to another floor
